19/07/2025: I returned to the red carpet after a while and found the atmosphere much worse. As soon as they served us drinks, we were inundated with wasps that landed on the food on our plates. I pointed this out to the owner, who dismissed us with a smile and charged us 13 euros for two bitters. It was truly rude. Not recommended!

12/08/2025: One of the few authentic places left in Rome. This place is one of the best places for a meal. Delicious, homemade, and traditional cuisine, just like it's always been here. For anyone who wants to try real pasta, this is the place. The secret to the best experience: ask the waiters. Barbara served me again, and as always, they prepared the best.

08/07/2025: Fast, very cheap, and very tasty pizza. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive. I wouldn't say a bad word about this place, and I definitely recommend checking it out. Definitely my favorite place in all of Ciampino, and even Rome.

05/10/2025: visited this restaurant today, and it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. Even though they charge 2 euros per person as a “service tax,” the service was absolutely terrible. The staff were inattentive and seemed completely uninterested in serving customers. We had to wait a long time just to get our order taken, and when the food finally arrived, it was cold and tasteless. The overall atmosphere felt chaotic, and no one seemed to care about customers’ comfort or satisfaction. Charging a service fee is fine if the service is good — but here it was the exact opposite. Definitely not worth the money and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

05/10/2025: The food here was absolutely terrible. Everything was sweet and bland, with zero flavor — it honestly tasted like they forgot how to cook. I couldn’t even finish my meal, it was that bad. And on top of that, they charge 2 euros per person as service tax for service that’s just as bad as the food — rude staff and super slow. Totally not worth the money. Never coming back!🤢🤢

25/07/2025: I have seen some bad reviews so I want to share my experience. We had a great evening, the staff were very efficient and friendly and spoke Spanish and English. The food is very good quality, although the vegetarian options are a bit limited. The cocktails were great and well served. We went here before a concert at Parco della Música and it was perfect. The athmosphere is lovely, it has a huge outside seating space illuminated by lightbulbs, a pizza truck and a meat grill. The garden is surrounded by palm trees. We had a great dining experience.

16/09/2025: As a Neapolitan who enjoyed the delights of the original pizzeria in Naples, I was deeply disappointed. While the pizza retained its generous proportions, I found the dough heavy, the cooking burnt in some spots, and the flavor lacked character. The Montanare were flat and tough. The Antica Parmigiana and Crocché, on the other hand, were excellent. The tables were wobbly and very disappointing. The staff was adequate but almost never smiled. This wasn't the character of the "Da Michele" pizzeria I knew, which alleviated the suffering of university students. In other words, "Da Michele" was a place of sharing, before it was a restaurant. An almost sacred place that today feels more like a franchise.

01/09/2025: Lovely local spot! We arrived late in town and found this place close to our rental apartment. The pasta amatriciana and the bufala pizza were excellent. The server spoke good English and made us feel very welcome — even as the only non-locals in a restaurant clearly popular with locals.

24/09/2025: The gelatos are delicious, so we tried the pistachio and chocolate one. The staff was also friendly.

11/09/2025: Irresisteble Gelateria with very friendly helpful service, amazing gelato, lovely atmosphere, nice decor and in a brilliant location near the colosseum, Roman forum and the Piazza Venezia, Loved it and hope to return in the future

27/08/2025: So cool. Herb and vegetable farm on the terrace level, beautiful panoramic view of Testaccio Hill. Creative, fresh, and honest food paired with natural wine and very professional and friendly front of house staff. Chef’s kiss. Grazie mille

28/07/2025: Terrible experience. The scents on the botanical terrace are pure invention: the basil smells of nothing, the rosemary even less so. We had to clean the table and chairs ourselves. At the mention of Franciacorta, a waitress with a nose ring went berserk. The result? The bubbly was served flat and without bubbles. Discount store fries. Everything else was pure nonsense. In the end, we wanted to pay in cash, and at 7:43 PM on a Saturday afternoon, a hefty waitress told us they had no change because we were the first customers, forcing us to pay by card. Unbelievable! Not even at Porta Portese do they open a stall without a cash reserve. Improvised and overrated, to put it in a nutshell. And a word of advice: don't be fooled, and if you really want to try the experience, go dressed in dark clothes or armed with wet wipes. A real shame. In Rome, in 2025!
