25/05/2025: We had already been to this restaurant several times, always finding excellent food on the lake shore, with attentive and very kind staff. Today, since we had not booked in advance, they made us sit outside in the bar area and warned that we could only take a few dishes, since the restaurant was full. We had mixed bruschetta and fried lake fish for two, all good, even if in the fried fish, to my taste, there were too many lattarini. The negative point, however, came when it came to the bill: 69 euros for two plates of bruschetta, two fried fish, half a liter of house wine and two coffees seemed a bit too much.

Abbiamo trovato questo posto un po’ per caso ed è stata una sorpresa.
La posizione incantevole, il menù per noi curioso perché non avevamo mai mangiato pesce di lago ci ha lasciati piacevolmente stupiti.
Dagli antipasti al primo ogni boccone era un’esplosione di sapori.
Buono anche il vino locale che ci hanno consigliato.
Il valore aggiunto lo danno però il papà pescatore la mamma cuoca e il figlio in sala, come cenare a casa di amici. Bravissimo anche il cameriere Angelo, dalla Galizia, che mentre descriveva i piatti faceva venir voglia di mangiare tutto.
Devo dire il conto finale contenuto.

19/05/2025: Food neither good nor bad, but small portions. In fact, we had to order a calzone after the pasta to be able to fill ourselves up. Fried courgette flowers were frankly a bit heavy.
Service was ok, but the price paid for the wine turned out to be higher than the price we were told. €30 for a bottle of house wine seems frankly too much.

We took the fixed menu for 23 euros:
Hot and cold appetizers, first or second course... We chose the first courses: ravioli stuffed with porchetta (delicious), cheese and pepper and homemade fettuccine with sauce... Water, house wine, 2 coffees + bitters... for the donuts we were full so they made us a bag to take away...
A total of 50 euros, they offered us a first course... more than satisfied, we will be back...

15/05/2025: Quiet, intimate, well-run place. I really liked this tavern in the village of Casalvieri in many ways. I give 10 cum laude to the appetizer I had called Vignarola: a mix of artichoke wedges, asparagus and courgettes, I think browned in a pan, with the addition of mint leaves for a taste and aroma that is now unusual to find, unless the meal is prepared in our homes. Followed by roast chicken with potatoes made as at home and a side of cooked wild vegetables. All very good and well cooked.
