04/02/2026: Great local atmosphere to taste Trieste delikatessen. Friendly, cozy and still very quick service, great crowd and amazing Fiori di zucchina in Pastella and outstanding low temperature cooked: Pancetta di Vitello al Refosco
02/01/2026: A somewhat pretentious restaurant in terms of quality/price… some things were tasty, like the eggplant meatballs and the chicken… others not so much, the gnocchi with goulash and guanciale (hard, the sauce was very paprika-heavy, and I doubt the guanciale was real)… the chicken rice was hard (although I don't know if that's how the variety they use here is supposed to be, but it wasn't to my liking). The service was rather inattentive and bland… The atmosphere is excellent, very well decorated and warm, and pets are allowed. The quality-price ratio is excessive for what it tries to be but can't deliver.

and that's not a bad price. Even though the gelato was tasteless and melted quickly, the clerks were so rude they almost seemed annoyed when I asked for the gelato. It melted in just a few seconds, and since I got dirty, I had to wash my hands in the sea because they didn't even provide a handkerchief,
which should be included even if the customer doesn't ask for it. And, it's no excuse to say, "You could have asked," because some people are embarrassed, and the fact that the clerks aren't at all polite doesn't help; this should be a given.
Terrible, not recommended.
P.S. I didn't choose the wrong gelato shop because the other one is clearly better.

04/03/2026: There's no place in Trieste where I don't enjoy a brioche, a cardamom roll, or something else, like Charlotte. They make little pastry masterpieces so delicious you'll want to eat one after the other. You absolutely have to go if you've never been before :D

15/01/2026: Great place, fast service, good food. If you're really hungry, order 2 pieces per person. Otherwise, one is just enough. Small space, but a much better atmosphere.

The wine (Merlot) was good, as was the limoncello. A biodegradable straw instead of the antiquated plastic one would have been nice.
Therefore, two minor deductions are made for the plastic straw and the outdated toilet.
25/02/2026: Yesterday, my mother, sister, and I were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food, freshly prepared with fresh ingredients, and the kindness of the owners.

After reading dozens of reviews before our trip, Gelato Marco was the clear winner… and it completely lived up to the hype! The queue stretching down Via Malcanton is the first clue you’re in the right place. Creamy, intense flavours (the pistachio is pure green gold, the chocolate extra-dark and decadent, the fruit sorbets taste like they were made five minutes ago). Generous portions, friendly service even when it’s packed, and prices that feel almost too fair for this quality. We were 4 and tried 10 flavours – every single one was perfection. If you only have gelato once in Trieste, make it here. Worth every second of the wait!

30/12/2025: A strategic and central spot for an aperitif with a mix of fantastic ciketi. The counter is well stocked with every variety of canapés and an equally excellent selection of wines. 🥂🥂 It's difficult to find a seat, but we've always found a spot to stand. Highly recommended. ✨✨✨

22/12/2025: The place is really nice, even though it's close to the street, there's no disturbing noise. In the summer, there are tables outside in a large, pleasant garden. The dishes are very good and well-prepared, and the prices are average for this type of place. The staff is quite friendly.

26/11/2025: Jazzin is truly one of the best gelato shops in Trieste (and beyond)! There are many flavors to choose from, from classic to more creative. The staff is always very friendly, and a special mention goes to the portions... they're gigantic! Excellent value!
Les Rive/pier, with its benches, is less than a 5-minute walk away, making it perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy a delicious gelato with a sea view.
Highly recommended!
