14/12/2025: A place with a youthful vibe, not your typical village bar, impeccably and professionally managed by the owner and her other wonderful young lady, who are very friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent for an aperitif with friends, accompanied by a "cicchetto" (a typical Italian snack). Top-quality ingredients, truly delicious. I didn't have dinner, but the food looks excellent. Definitely a must-visit if you're in the area.

01/01/2026: A wonderful location nestled in the Friulian hills. We spent one night here. It was an oasis of peace. The rooms were equipped with every comfort, clean and tidy, and made us feel truly welcomed. Excellent breakfast with a wide selection, and Tiziana and her family were kind and helpful. Thank you again. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay just minutes from the city center!

I'm served a 150 ml glass of soda water with lemon by a lady who then leaves the place. In the hand of a very young boy. I ask for the bill: 1 euro. In five other bars in Maniago I paid for 50 ml of bottled mineral water. I comment that it seems expensive to me. The boy replies that it seems expensive to him too. I insist that elsewhere in the town a 50 ml costs even 40 ml and he replies: it's because of inflation. I pay because I'm an idiot, and I had to insist on the receipt which, by chance, the economist had missed the inflation! I felt like I was being taken for a ride by a boy with an excellent sense of humor but no shame or sense of manners. And also a tax evader. Congratulations to whoever educated him.) It is not advisable to go from the bar to the bottegon of Andea Pittau, son of Giampietro Pittau.

02/11/2025: I stayed at this hotel for four nights and had a great time. It's a fairly quiet hotel, allowing for a good night's sleep, thanks in part to the polite hosts. In front of my room, which also had a balcony with a chair and a small table, was a lovely park with mountains in the background—a pleasant view, in short. Every time I rang the bell at reception, someone was always there within a minute. The rooms are easily accessible, including those with disabilities. The room was clean and had a nice bathroom with a shower featuring various water jets. The cleaning ladies were also very friendly, and I had a chance to chat with them a little. The bar serves a good breakfast. I didn't explore the restaurant, however, which I assume is just as good as everything else. The location, although about a kilometer from the bus station, is easily accessible on foot by turning away from the station and turning left, straight ahead, as I did after getting off the bus with my wheeled bag. The hotel also has ample parking and a designated area for campers. There are no disturbing nightlife venues nearby, so my overall rating is definitely positive. I also received a small discount when paying.

01/01/2026: I don't usually write reviews after my first experience because I believe that once can be a lucky break, but four or five experiences are a confirmation. This is precisely the case with Cjasa Mata, which has now become my partner and I's favorite getaway. The amenity of the place and the ambiance in which we dine or lunch add a touch of elegance to the perfectly balanced dishes that the kitchen promptly serves. The service is high-quality, and you can feel the attention the owner and his staff give their guests without making them feel like guests. I absolutely recommend this restaurant, and last but not least, it offers excellent value for money. Franco

23/06/2025: A very clean and pleasant hotel. The rooms with balconies are a bit noisier than the rooms without balconies at the back due to the passing traffic. The guesthouse across the side street is particularly recommended, with its heated pool and unobstructed views of the rolling countryside. The breakfast buffet offers something for everyone. The evening meals are especially outstanding.

24/11/2025: We were a party of four. The atmosphere was elegant, very warm and welcoming. You felt at home and at ease. The dishes were good and satisfying. The only surprise was the final price of the dinner, which in our opinion was rather expensive. That's the only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars.

31/12/2025: Following a legitimate request for clarification formulated in the spirit of dialogue, the employee contacted by phone displayed a surprisingly rude attitude, lacking any professional grace, and adopted a style of speech that clearly bordered on the inappropriate. This behavior, besides being unpleasant, betrays a concept of customer service that is difficult to reconcile with basic hospitality standards. Regarding the price, the fee requested appears significantly disproportionate to the quality of the food offered. The pizzas, already visually unappealing, confirmed their overall modest nature upon tasting, resulting in disharmonious flavors and lacking any distinguishing note worthy of mention. The French fries were flaccid and lacking in structure, while the crust, with an excessively tough consistency, made the very act of chewing an exercise more akin to perseverance than pleasure. These shortcomings reveal a worrying superficiality in the execution and control of the final product. Overall, the experience paints a picture of an establishment with obvious shortcomings in both service and culinary excellence. A thorough and urgent review of its operational and interpersonal practices therefore appears essential if the restaurant intends to achieve standards even minimally commensurate with the expectations of a discerning and demanding clientele. A consultation with professionals with proven expertise in the sector would not only be appropriate, but hopefully lifesaving.

30/12/2025: The pizza here is incredibly good! I highly recommend both the large pizza and the individual slices. Very varied and unusual flavors with fabulous pairings. I'll definitely be back; from now on, I'll be a trusted pizzeria! Congratulations to the pizza chefs!!!
