15/02/2026: We met Francesco at a basic bread-making course organized by Slow Food, and then had the pleasure of trying both his brioches and puff pastry, as well as his 100% sourdough bread. What can I say... all our experiences with Fermento have been superb! Francesco is truly passionate and a fine scholar of his art. He pays attention to every detail and loves to share what he knows with unique generosity and clarity... and this can be tasted and appreciated in every bite, and in every Fermento creation! Both the bread and the brioches are truly kneaded, baked, and perfected to perfection. The flours and every ingredient are absolutely top-quality, and his love and passion for baking also translates into an excellent service and atmosphere! Well done, and full steam ahead! Thank you!

15/02/2026: I waited to write this review until the third time we've come to this place, where you're greeted with such kindness and warmth. The acoustics are excellent, allowing for pleasant conversation. The dishes are very good, both in preparation and flavor, and sincere compliments go to the chefs, because the agnolotti with Treviso radicchio, with an overall delicate filling featuring just the right amount of speck and cheese, were truly delicious. As were the tagliolini with blueberries, a light pasta with the perfect duck ragù! And after the masterfully prepared main courses (Istrian goulash with polenta and Isonzo rose with egg mimosa), comes the SUPER dessert. The best tiramisu I've ever eaten! (I'm Venetian, and tiramisu is an almost traditional dessert that we even make at home), but this tiramisu is perfect! The ingredients are balanced as they should be: alternating layers of ladyfingers soaked in bitter coffee and mascarpone cream. Every spoonful taken vertically is a delight for the palate! I took two photos just to understand the balance, but I assure you that for me this is the REAL tiramisu (7 stars). BRILLIANT pastry chef! Congratulations.

15/02/2026: The place is really very cute and welcoming! The service was kind and attentive. Unfortunately, however, I'm sorry to say that everything was way too, way too, way too SALTY!! Even the customers sitting next to me complained about the excessive saltiness. It's a real shame, I hope it was just an oversight by the chef...

And the desserts are no less delicious, incredible when eaten on the premises, but equally pristine in taste and flavor when purchased to take away and enjoyed a full two days later! Definitely enjoy a break in this little corner; it's worth it!

15/12/2025: The place is beautiful and rustic...just the way we like it. The waitress was super kind, knowledgeable, and helpful... Plus, she knew every dish on the menu perfectly: kudos. Dishes: The local pork appetizers were exceptional. The beef ones were good. The first course: pear and Montasio tortelli...good...perhaps a little sickly. The highlight is undoubtedly the frico, in a variety of variations: all delicious. The side dishes were also good. Desserts... personally, I would have preferred something cold, like cake or ice cream with some berry juice... The other diners also found the ones on offer excellent. Bitters: The herb one I ordered was excellent. Wide selection of grappas. In summary: we'll definitely be back. Well done, keep up the good work! The only flaw: lack of parking...but you can find it in the nearby streets.

04/03/2026: The originally planned beer stop turned into a hearty, high-calorie mountain lunch. It would have been more pleasant to sit outside given the beautiful sunny day. The food, however, was good. The refuge's location offers a magnificent view of the Julian Alps. It's reached after a pleasant climb, with lovely huts along the way. Suitable for all seasons.

09/03/2026: A true hidden gem in Trieste! Rosticceria Eureka is one of those places that makes you feel right at home. Here you'll find authentic Italian home cooking, made with care and high-quality ingredients. The lasagna is simply out of this world: rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The homemade gnocchi are also fantastic: soft, delicate, and bursting with flavor. Besides the extraordinary food, the owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, and you can really feel the passion they put into what they do. If you're in Trieste and are looking for authentic, high-quality cuisine made with love, this place is absolutely not to be missed. Highly recommended!

30/01/2026: What can I say, an EXCELLENT restaurant... Today was the second time I've come here for lunch... On both occasions, it was initially a forced choice because I was exceptionally without a car, and from the Monfalcone municipal swimming pool where I finished my morning swimming, there aren't many other nearby places (within walking distance) to eat (and in any case, this trattoria was recommended to me a couple of years ago by a friend of mine from Cervignano). The fact is, I'm very happy I discovered this place, first of all because what I ordered (a mixed salad and spaghetti with an excellent tomato sauce, last time even with basil) was very good, and considering the setting (a trattoria immersed in a green and rural area, yet more than quiet and with very beautiful interior decor), I think the prices aren't excessive... So, since it was a more than positive experience, I'm satisfied and might return someday with friends... In conclusion, I definitely recommend it to Those who love tranquility, good food, and a certain comfortable, old-world atmosphere. Thank you for everything, and see you next time.
