05/01/2026: Atmosphere: La Stüa is located just steps from the center of Gorizia. The atmosphere is a perfect mix (in my opinion) of classic Friulian and modern. It's not huge but comfortable, divided between the restaurant and a bistro-style space for quick meals, offering platters and bruschetta, etc. We tried the restaurant for lunch. The Toc' in braide appetizer was excellent, as were the first courses, especially the fusilli with stewed duck sauce. Fast service, excellent value. Recommended.

02/01/2026: Splendid location, in the historic center, in the most beautiful square. Welcoming, very kind! Very good at recommending wines, attentive to the customer's tastes, and perfectly matching the food.

11/01/2026: Even in the winter, I have to satisfy my ice cream cravings. 😅 Thanks to Il Cremino, I can fully satisfy my cravings, even though I've only just discovered them! The ice cream is EXCELLENT, as is the service!

06/01/2026: Returning from a mountain trip, with the only restaurant in Cima Sappada fully booked, we headed toward Tolmezzo, hoping to find somewhere open even though it was already 1 p.m. When we reached Forni Avoltri, we found only restaurants that were either completely closed or with their kitchens closed. Continuing on, without much hope, we reached Rigolato, where we were pleasantly surprised to find the pizzeria Al Cacciatore not only open, but willing to give us a table even though it was already 2 p.m. We ate two pizzas and two first courses (the kitchen was still open, too, not just the pizzeria), everything was delicious, and we were not rushed. We are grateful to this restaurant for still offering hope for tourism in Carnia, something that certainly cannot be said for Forni Avoltri.

26/09/2025: Very good pizza and a wide variety of flavors. The service should be more attentive to the customer: a waiter, after serving the pizza, shouldn't abandon you, but could stop by every now and then to ask if everything is okay or if anything is missing. Prices are a bit high.

13/01/2026: A delightful place, a fairytale corner in the heart of the city. And the desserts are no less delicious, incredible when eaten on the premises, but equally pristine in taste and flavor when purchased to take away and enjoyed a full two days later! Definitely enjoy a break in this little corner; it's worth it!

13/12/2025: This place is perfect for work, the atmosphere is cozy, the music not too loud, and the coffee really good. However, there’s this one waitress that is always kind of rude, doesn’t even look at you, walks away in the middle of your sentence, says no ‘good evening’ or ‘thank you’ and generally makes me feel like I should apologize for coming in and ordering a cup of coffee. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think waiters owe us special treatment, and they get to have a bad day too, but this woman is ALWAYS like this. The masochist in me keeps coming back waiting for some proof that she’s a human being. MUG, please talk to your staff and see why they’re so unhappy.

28/12/2025: A wonderful lunch in a magnificent setting. The place is very welcoming, as are the owners, who are extremely friendly. We ate many delicious dishes, the portions were generous, and the two strudels were especially delicious. We'll definitely be back because we had such a great time! Reservations are recommended. :)

27/12/2025: I've been going there for years and have been disappointed to see that as the prices have risen, the quality has declined. The last time I went, a few days ago, I ordered prawn tails with cream that wasn't crunchy anymore (a characteristic of the dessert) and single portions of cassata that had slightly sour cream. I feel sorry for them and for me, as I spent €3.00 for each tail and, to top it off, made a bad impression on my friends who were visiting. You need to have more love for your work. If you have any leftover pastries, give them away but don't put them back on sale the next day. Not everyone is happy with them. I'm writing with a shared sense of humor; I'm a huge fan of tails and have often had to eat them up to three days in a row before finishing the ones I bought, so I know the difference between the first day and the third.

05/01/2026: This pizzeria is basically just a takeaway pizza place. The wait is quite long (30 minutes), but it's worth it because it's delicious and a great way to watch the pizza being prepared. I recommend it!
