15/05/2026: We happened upon it by chance, as a couple, for a vegan dinner with non-vegans. The cacio e pepe pizza was superb and well-filled. A large Ona Ona salad and a vegan fried seafood dish. Wine, water, and coffee were perfect, we'll be back!! Friendly staff, excellent value for money.

20/03/2026: Gelateria Gioiosa: My "cheat day" in Grado ​As a Grado resident, you know it well: we have as many ice cream shops as you want, but when the fateful "cheat day" arrives and I crave something truly ignorant and indulgent, I head straight to Gelateria Gioiosa. ​My ritual: Dubai Chocolate (and nothing else) ​There's no point beating around the bush, I come here for one specific reason: Dubai Chocolate. Guys, if you want to understand what true indulgence is, you have to try it. It's the flavor I always get: that crazy mix of chocolate, the crunch of pistachio, and that texture that fills your palate... it's out of this world. For me, if there's no Dubai Chocolate, it's not a true cheat day. ​Because it's the best for those who want to "overdo it" ​Here, gelato is a complete experience. It's not your usual light cone; They're full-bodied flavors, rich in variety and ingredients you can taste under your teeth. La Gioiosa has this ability to dare with unique combinations that you won't find anywhere else on the island. It's the ideal place if you're tired of the same old flavors and want something that makes you say "Wow" with every spoonful. ​A Local's Verdict ​For me, La Gioiosa is the prize of the week. I go there because I know the gelato there never disappoints and the quality of the ingredients is evident. If you want a flavor that will stay with you and make you feel like the indulgence was 100% worth it, you know where to go.

13/04/2026: I was looking for a restaurant close enough to Villa Manin, and Google suggested Il Piron dal Re. Inspired by the excellent reviews, my friend and I decided to give it a try, and we weren't disappointed! The location is welcoming and well-maintained. The owner, very friendly, was friendly and always ready to offer advice. We ate divinely. We'll definitely be back. The price was in line with the quality of the product. 5 well-deserved stars.

07/06/2026: We were looking for some arancini in Trieste and were struggling. Copilot sent us here and it was exactly what we wanted. The arancini we had, as a snack, were the best ever. Service was excellent. One arancini, a tomato cheese and beef ragu recipe, and a 200ml Sicilian beer was less than 6 euros! I can't recommend highly enough so add this to you Trieste must visit list.

21/05/2026: Trapizzino is a Roman street food which was conceptualised more than 20 years ago by an Italian chef, Stefano Bonilli. It’s a triangular shaped bread with various fillings. A simple yet intelligent and surely delicious take on a takeaway Pizza slice. We stumbled upon this randomly while walking around the streets. Delicious. I highly recommend. Their Tiramisu is also really nice.

03/05/2026: It's become a regular stop for us: we return every year and the quality is consistently top-notch. We've always eaten wonderfully, with carefully prepared and truly delicious dishes. The staff is another great asset: the waiters are super friendly, attentive, and always available. The overall experience has been more than positive every time. It's a place we're always happy to return to and we recommend it without hesitation!

15/06/2026: Today we had a reservation for 6 people, and you closed the restaurant without letting us know!!! If this kind of behavior seems normal to you! We obviously won't be returning because I had to rearrange a business lunch, much to the shame of the guests who weren't expecting this surprise!

10/06/2026: The atmosphere is welcoming and quaint, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The food is very good, offering Trieste and local specialties. The prices are reasonable considering the excellent quality and quantity. Highly recommended.

09/10/2025: I searched Google for an artisanal ice cream shop. After a disappointing lunch in Lignano, I wanted an ice cream. I went to this ice cream shop with a friend from the Marche region. I'll start by saying I'm Sicilian. I immediately noticed the professionalism and hospitality of the sales staff. We ordered two cups with three scoops of ice cream each. I was thrilled. To say it was good would be an understatement. Superlative, that's my opinion. Thanks to the owners and all the staff. I recommend it.
