19/02/2026: My experience at Caffè Montagno was very disappointing. My family and I have been going there for years, but over time, the situation has deteriorated significantly. The owners are often rude and arrogant, not only towards customers but especially towards the employees, who are treated terribly. I've repeatedly witnessed humiliating reprimands made in front of everyone, in a rude and disrespectful tone, clearly embarrassing the employees. Such behavior is unacceptable and creates a heavy and unpleasant atmosphere, even for those who are there as customers. The quality of service is also highly inconsistent.

11/03/2026: A little corner of Africa here in Bologna that, for someone like me who's in love with it, is a breath of fresh air. Everything was truly delicious; it was wonderful to eat with your hands as is tradition; the meat was so tender and flavorful. The Ethiopian coffee was amazing, accompanied by incense to wish us good luck. The owner has a smile that stays with you all evening and is always ready to offer advice. She even showed us how to roast coffee beans. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to immerse themselves in the Horn of Africa.

07/03/2026: After seven years in Bologna, I can honestly say I've found the best gelato in town. Just like they used to make it back then, creamy and authentic. The owners are incredibly friendly, and the mascarpone is to die for!

09/10/2025: Truly delicious sandwiches. Initially, we came solely for the porchetta (which remains the mainstay), but they've increased the variety, maintaining high quality. The staff is very friendly and courteous. It's becoming a pleasant Saturday lunchtime habit.

06/10/2025: Wonderful place. Staff is super friendly and authentic. Food is extraordinary best panino I've eaten in bologna. Packed with locals and atmosphere. Later the whole plaza is full with young people, music ect.

10/11/2025: Hmmmm! 🍦 We had the pistachio ice cream it was super yummy. You can still feel the fresh nuts and the saltines and it’s insanely creamy.

30/12/2025: Amazing gelato and even warmer people! Highly recommend the tiramisu and crema — incredibly creamy and full of character, just like a grandma’s secret recipe. The staff were so patient and thoughtful with their introductions and flavor recommendations, which truly brightened my first day in Bologna. Can’t wait to come back for the June-only peach flavor! 🍑🍨✨

15/03/2026: A corner of Naples, they've been in Bolognina for almost 30 years, I believe, and are constantly growing and innovating. The raw materials and staff make you want to adopt them. I hadn't been back in a while, and I even came back for a second time, so much did I miss their experience. I recommend anyone passing through Bologna and craving excellent pizza and an unparalleled welcome to visit this wonderful family. A big hug, and see you soon!

07/03/2026: One of the best gelatos I've ever had: truly high quality, and I hope they can keep it that way. Unfortunately, we've noticed an organizational problem that's taking a toll in the long run. At first, we thought it was just particularly crowded days, but in reality, every time we've been (and we come quite often), the situation is always the same: very long lines form because there's no dedicated person at the cash register. The gelato makers also have to go and get the receipt, constantly running back and forth. This, in addition to not being ideal from a hygiene standpoint, significantly slows down service and creates really long waits. It's a shame, because the gelato is truly worth it. I hope they can improve this organizational aspect, especially with summer arriving; otherwise, waiting so long, even for such good gelato, risks becoming discouraging. I should also add that, unfortunately, they've raised the prices, and for just two scoops, it's starting to get a bit pricey...

06/03/2026: Delicious gelato. Our group thought the kiwi and mascarpone flavors with chocolate sauce were especially good. We couldn't find a bathroom in the ice cream parlor, but we didn't ask if there was one either.

09/01/2026: Excellent food, clean atmosphere, and friendly staff. We were a large group of nine. We ate a lot and enjoyed everything. Even our vegetarian friend enjoyed it and had a wide selection to choose from. Congratulations! We'll definitely be back.

07/01/2026: I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant because the food is excellent, the staff is welcoming and very cheerful, and the dining room is beautifully decorated. But most importantly, it offers both meat-based and vegetarian/vegan dishes on the menu. I'd say it's a 10/10! PS: For anyone looking for a recommendation, the standouts are the FUFU and the SPICY BEEF PIRI PIRI. Thanks again to the staff, and see you next time.

20/02/2026: In the mountains of Emilia-Romagna there is a magical place where you can enjoy a unique experience of living in harmony with nature in comfort and hospitality. The place offers the opportunity to interact with gentle animals and friendly people. The accommodations have kitchens if you prefer, they welcome motorhomes, and there are camping facilities. Mountain cuisine with fresh pasta is available. Enjoying wine amidst such beauty is a truly delightful experience. 17/03/2026: A pleasant weekend lunch while visiting Bologna. I chose this place after following recommendations online, and I was very pleased. Unfortunately, it was fully booked, so we had to sit outside in early February, but we accepted anyway because we were curious to try the dishes they served. We had a nest as an appetizer, with pumpkin, leek, and more; it was truly delicious! We then had two different first courses, both very interesting. We also added mixed baked potatoes. Good flavors, friendly service, medium-high prices, but definitely worth a try. I recommend it!
