14/11/2025: A surprising place We visited this restaurant for the first time, drawn by the excellent reviews. What can I say: they were right. The atmosphere is very characteristic. The family that runs the restaurant is very kind and helpful; they welcome you as if you were part of the family and treat you with extreme warmth. The food is simply delicious, transporting you to Ethiopia, with typical flavors full of personality. Derek recommends an exquisite dish. The tea is a very tasty treat at the end of the meal, a tasty digestif. We will return, and it is highly recommended.

07/10/2025: For the price and the queue, I don’t get the hype haha. I waited 30 minutes at 6pm to get to order, I would be okay with it if it was the best gelato in town, it was not. Don’t get me wrong, it was good, just not the best in my opinion. A bit better than average, but not 30 minutes queue in the middle of the street worth. The only good point is having melted chocolate in the cone for free and an extra waffle on top, even if in other cities they do it for free all the time, maybe it’s not a Bologna thing to do haha

06/10/2025: Me and my friend got in line to get ourselves just one scoop to taste. As soon as we took a bite we got in line again without even waiting to finish our ice cream, that’s how GOOD it was.

09/10/2025: Truly delicious sandwiches. Initially, we came solely for the porchetta (which remains the mainstay), but they've increased the variety, maintaining high quality. The staff is very friendly and courteous. It's becoming a pleasant Saturday lunchtime habit.

06/10/2025: Wonderful place. Staff is super friendly and authentic. Food is extraordinary best panino I've eaten in bologna. Packed with locals and atmosphere. Later the whole plaza is full with young people, music ect.

10/11/2025: Hmmmm! 🍦 We had the pistachio ice cream it was super yummy. You can still feel the fresh nuts and the saltines and it’s insanely creamy.

26/10/2025: This place, in my opinion, deserves the best. Young, friendly staff with a nice and good selection of food and wine. A small place, as the name suggests, with a lot of history and tradition. You can enjoy Bolognese tapas and much more, like the excellent fried meatballs.

18/09/2025: The restaurant is located in a quiet area, and the interior is very spacious. Four of us came for lunch on a Saturday and, at the manager's suggestion (?), wanted to try the house specials. It was a perfect choice: I wasn't thrilled with the lamb ragù, but the rest of the food was exceptionally good, even though I'm not a fan of spices. The meat was delicious, and the various legume-based sauces paired perfectly with the stew. I didn't particularly appreciate the traditional bread (too spongy), the papaya/coconut/mango desserts, or the special coffee they have, the name of which I can't remember (spiced with ginger and cumin). The wild fennel bread, however, is worth it. Worth a try, the prices are very reasonable, especially considering it's in Bologna: €90, including drinks, for four of us. We ate a lot.

16/09/2025: A dinner that was a true journey to Africa! The flavors are authentic and rich, the dishes are carefully prepared and truly delicious. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and full of atmosphere, making you feel like you've been transported directly to the African continent. The staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for those who want to discover new culinary traditions without leaving Bologna.

13/11/2025: Excellent, excellent, excellent. One of the best in Bologna. The only problem is finding a spot and parking near the restaurant.

08/11/2025: The ice cream was delicious! Such unique and vibrant flavors! I really liked the blueberry and pistachio! The lovely girls served me well. They said the portions were small, but that's not true: you can get a small portion with two flavors, a medium portion, and a large portion with as many as four different flavors! It's rare that they allow two flavors in a small portion, and that's a big plus for this place! One of the best ice creams we've ever tried in Italy.

08/10/2025: We were there with our motorhome. The washroom is clean, and the shower is hot and there's no limit. You should know your vehicle, as the access is a bit cramped. But it wasn't a problem with our 7-meter motorhome. Everyone is very friendly, and the groundskeeper speaks good German. The food in the restaurant is good. We would come again.
