28/11/2024: Justo antes de salir en nuestro viaje a Italia tenía una cita con el dentista. Mi dentista mencionó que había estado en Italia y confesó que aunque le encantaba la comida, después de una semana más o menos tenía un antojo de hamburguesas McDonalds y terminó recibiendo una. Debe haber estado en mi mente en nuestro último día completo en Sorrento. Pasamos la mañana haciendo turismo y compras de recuerdos y finalmente encontramos el camino de regreso al Corso Italia en busca de un lugar para almorzar. No faltan los sitios en Sorrento para comer, especialmente a lo largo del Corso Italia, pero por alguna razón terminamos yendo a un lugar que habíamos visto antes después de bajar del autobús desde Meta. Bar Meeting es un pequeño restaurante en el Corso Italia justo al oeste de la Piazza Angelina Lauro. Es obvio por su apariencia y menú que no es un lugar que sirve cocina local ni uno para cenar. Es un lugar simple y bastante barato para agarrar “cocina americana” y orientado al turista, probablemente aquellos como yo o nuestro dentista que sus paletas se sienten nostálgicos de casa. Inicialmente estábamos un poco postergados, ya que nuestro saludador y camarero estaba estornudando y tosiendo y probablemente bajando con algo. Él era lo suficientemente educado como para girar la cabeza y toser en la manga, sin embargo, y había un insecto dando vueltas y yo ya había tenido. Además, tenía mucha hambre y los dos necesitábamos descansar las piernas, así que tomamos asiento. Pedí una hamburguesa básica con papas fritas y mi esposa optó por dedos de pollo con una cerveza y agua para lavarlo. Todo fue entregado bastante rápido. Pensemos que éramos los únicos clientes inicialmente. Otro grupo entró tras nosotros y agarró una mesa cercana. Después de ellos, un solo turista obvio también entró y preguntó cómo estaba nuestra comida antes de agarrar una mesa y un menú. Supongo que mi gruñido y mi guiño fueron tomados como un sí universal. El almuerzo no fue nada de lo que escribir a casa, y definitivamente no estará descifrando las diez mejores experiencias culinarias italianas. Tenga en cuenta que sirvió a su propósito y nos llenó. El precio era bastante razonable también, especialmente para un lugar turístico en Sorrento. Total para nosotros dos era de unos 25 euros ($ 37. 13 Cdn.) Lo pagué con tarjeta de crédito y el propietario / gerente parecía un poco molesto porque vi toda la transacción, especialmente cuando el grifo no funcionaba la primera vez. Comprobé mi banco más tarde en línea y no hubo doble facturación u otros problemas. Almuerzo terminado, el estómago lleno, y las piernas descansadas salimos de nuevo a las calles de Sorrento para hacer un poco más de compras.

12/05/2025: Extremely expensive. A limoncello and an aperol €31… They don't give you the prices on the menu. It's a tourist trap. There is a difference if you order it to take away or to eat at the table.

11/05/2025: A little corner of paradise in Capri. Terrace with sea view. But it has to be paid for. Consumption is very expensive.

08/04/2025: Terrible!!!!! Half a meter of pizza €14....the size seems like that of a single pizza..... Never again

19/04/2025: I had little time before leaving again at the central station of Naples, I noticed the pastry shop with its beautiful inviting window, there wasn't much confusion - good time - I got some curly and shortcrust puff pastry; of the babas. The staff was super helpful and kind. They made me a nice travel tray. What can I say when I got home I took out the baba' it was spectacular. Soft and with the right wetness. Everything else is good. I will return on my next trip. I recommend it.

14/04/2025: Eccellenze della Costiera Galleria Termini, 00185 Roma RM, Italy It’s a great place to go upstairs to grab a takeaway coffee and order breakfast while you’re waiting for the Roma Central train. It is a chain store, but it is located on the upper floor of Rome Central Station. There is also an Eccellenze della Costiera (also on the first floor). If you want to wait in the station, you might be able to order a cup of coffee and take a break. However, due to the high flow of people in this restaurant, sometimes there is no time to clear away the empty plates and cups left by customers on the table.

15/01/2025: Cold place and overpriced. 2 Chianina burgers 2 sausages 1 coke 1 plastic coffee The side dishes were included orally but found on the bill 37.00 Euros not to be repeated

21/10/2024: You can eat, but we went to have a drink. The place has a good Irish pub-style atmosphere and a curious variety. It is like entering a patio and gives it a more original touch. The staff is very nice and correct.

04/05/2025: Good evening. I personally went for a takeaway. Friendly staff, choice between various first courses and side dishes with willingness to prepare something different at the moment if you requested it. Abundant and not paltry portions as their competitors are often applying, in addition to the quality of the dishes that my wife and I had the pleasure of eating (for the record we ate the lasagna and farfalle with pesto and cherry tomatoes). My rating can only be 5 stars

21/05/2025: Terrible experience! We had a reservation for 16 people at 9:00 PM, and when we arrived, we were told there were no reservations for that day. We waited for the person who made the reservation to arrive with the confirmation of the reservation made for that day, and they told us the problem was because we were late, when we had arrived at 8:50 PM. Finally, after speaking to the manager and being rudely addressed, they let us in. We tried to use Wi-Fi, but the manager rudely took the QR code and disconnected us. We had a pre-arranged menu, but they served us a different one. In the middle of dinner, the power went out for quite a while... In short, it was a terrible experience. We were treated very poorly... I do not recommend it.

20/05/2025: Very unpleasant experience. They sold it to us as if they were going to give us a good, quality menu with a lot to offer. We had a reservation for 16 people at 9:00 PM. We arrived at the restaurant at 8:51 PM, and they had us waiting outside with the excuse that we didn't have a reservation for that day (we had checked). Then they sat us at separate tables and started bringing out food that looked like it came from a camp mess hall. While we were "eating," if you can call it that, the power went out, and it took them 15 minutes to get it back on. They served us some bad wine and started yelling at us, telling us we were late. In the end, they threw us out with insults. Very unpleasant. I think there are places with much better food and that know how to treat customers properly. I would never go back.

17/11/2024: I'm giving one star because I can't give less. We took two pizzas, one very salty, with spoiled cooked ham and mushrooms, super spring for the mozzarella milk. An absurd thing. The other sausages and (non-existent broccoli). We also took a cut of meat, very hard, burnt with a strong smell, old meat I presume. When I say this at the cashier they reply "we're sorry". But having to pay a bill for such mediocrity must be displeasing. Not recommended
