04/03/2025: We are located in the municipality of Campolattaro (BN), a small town of around 950 inhabitants. Having dinner at the "Sesto Senso" restaurant was a truly positive surprise. Place with sober furnishings and classic mise en place. The staff were very polite, friendly, helpful and professional. Varied menu with particular attention to fish dishes which can also vary based on the availability of the fresh catch of the day. Excellent wine list with good local proposals. The appetizer chosen was a real culinary experience, difficult to describe all the sensations I felt when tasting the various courses of this appetizer but, I assure you, it will remain etched in my memories. Not least the delicious fried paranza, tasty and dry, with a side dish of baked potatoes. For the wine I was recommended a good Fiano from the "Sciore" farm. As usual I don't post the bill but the quality-price ratio is truly excellent. In conclusion I was pleasantly impressed by this excellence and it is definitely worth the trip, seeing is believing. 🔝💯

28/02/2025: Some great seafood, despite being on the mountains. My wife had the antipasto di mare. She really enjoyed it. The service was great, with a great round of flavors among the dishes. We didn't have a reservation, but they were able to seat us. Recommend having a reservation son you don't get disappointed from boy being able to sample their cuisine!

10/04/2025: THE BEST DESSERT SHOP ON THE PLANET ! My wife and I arrived in Salerno the previous evening to commence our 3 week vacation in Italy and France. After a huge sleep-in to get over our jet lag we hit the road with a bounce in our step on Wednesday morning to explore beautiful Salerno. FIRST UP ! We enjoyed a fabulous breakfast at Caffe dell'Arechi on Corso Vittorio Emanuele ( the huge pedestrian mall that runs through the middle of downtown Salerno ). As we were leaving I asked the guy behind the counter...where can we get great desserts ? Mr Whippy was his surprising reply. WHY ? Well when I was a young kid growing up in Brisbane, Qld back in Australia Mr Whippy was an ice cream van that patrolled our neighborhood every Sunday playing an old English folk song ( Greensleeves ) and serving soft serve ice cream in wafer cones. WE LOVED IT ! My wife and I headed off ( with dessert at Mr Whippy on the brain ) to continue our discovery of Salerno stopping to look at lots of retail stores and eventuality having some delicious Arancini for a late lunch at Pizzeria Giagiu. DESSERT ! Salerno is a fun coastal city to navigate and we found our way to Mr Whippy without much trouble. HOLY COW ! There were a bunch of people sitting on their outdoor patio munching away at delicious looking desserts. We went inside and a young lady named Karen behind the counter welcomed us. MORE DESSERT CHOICES THAN YOU COULD IMAGINE ! Karen offered us samples of their gelato..a kind of soft serve variety. It was smooth and creamy but we wanted more decadence. AND THEN ! We spotted a bunch of chocolate coated gelato bars in a refrigerated display cabinet. YES PLEASE ! My wife selected a SNICKERS BAR and I went with a BOUNTY BAR. We paid and found a table on the patio to enjoy our incredible desserts. TOTALLY DELICIOUS ! Never before have we enjoyed anything as deliciously decadent as our chocolate coated gelato desserts. WE WANTED MORE ! The desserts were too good to be true so we decided to buy something else to take back to our apartment. THE STORY ! So I told Karen my childhood story about Mr Whippy and how surprised we were to find a gourmet dessert shop in Salerno, Italy named Mr Whippy. Karen explained that the owner once visited Australia and saw a Mr Whippy van. HA HA ! We selected 2 amazing looking desserts...Sette Sensi and Tropical. It wasn't until a couple of days later that we had them for dessert after a fabulous dinner at our apartment. They contained the creamiest mousse we have ever enjoyed.....heavenly desserts ! Oh and Karen gave us a great tip before we left Mr Whippy....the pizza at Don Antonio 1970 is fabulous. AND IT WAS !

09/04/2025: Extremely delicious cakes and other pastries. I haven't discovered anything there that didn't taste really good. Everything delicious, everything a little different, everything quite sophisticated, everything nicely prepared. Not cheap, but worth the price. Nice atmosphere in a small piazza. Friendly staff.

Enza's cuisine is a tasty cuisine where you can find those typical "array" flavors of Neapolitan cuisine that catapult you in an instant to your grandmother's house, to your mother's house, to your aunt's house. Enza ten and golden man. A place where I will return with pleasure because I am sure of finding those unique flavors on the plate! The burned out light bulb? The paper placemat? The plastic cup? The ancient floor? If you come to eat in this place you must have the same expectations as when you go to eat at grandma's house, those delicacies justify everything! See you soon ❤️

06/04/2025: Nonostante avendo una prenotazione abbiamo aspettato 50 minuti x sederci, 30 minuti x aspettare che arrivassero le pizze, locale piccolissimo senza spazio, ma pizzaioli bravo e simpatici con forno e banco preparazione a vista, pizze ottime, veramente eccellenti molto leggete e digeribili, ben condite e ottimi abbinamento tra gli ingredienti, lavorano molto sull'asporto quindi questo spiega l'attesa di mangiar a tavolo, tutto sommata buona pizzeria, peccato x il piccolo e poco spazio.

27/01/2025: Fully satisfied, making a worthy aperitif is almost impossible now and here we managed it! For three people we spent €7.50 and the aperitif even included a mini packet of crisps each. Super approved, also rustici and pizza were fresh and very tasty.

22/03/2025: The Vanacore restaurant in Pompei was excellent! Our first night in Italy after a long day of traveling we stopped to eat in this restaurant. Angela and her assistant were so kind to us! Upon learning that we were weary travelers, Angela prepared a special little treat just for us. The pizza was excellent! Actually, it was the best pizza we had in our week in Italy and, probably, the best pizza we ever have had. We ate at several other restaurants in Pompei and none could compare with Angela's service and quality of food.The pizza parlors in the United States could learn a lot from Angela. The food and service were so good that we made certain to visit with Angela and eat at her restaurant on our final night in italy, as well. Each time, the pizza was the best! Though I speak limited Italian and Angela did not speak much English, we easily communicated through expressions and with the assistance of the Google translation app. I highly recommend Angela's restaurant whenever you might be in Pompei, Italy! Wonderful food at a very economical price combined with a lovely lady make for a fantastico dining experience!

24/03/2025: Italian-French tavern in the heart of upper Irpinia. Welcoming and relaxing environment, owner (French), very polite and elegant. Menu with quality raw materials and well cooked, pre adequate zzi, with excessive. Overall, an experience worth repeating, to taste the French cheese fondue and the escargot.

29/01/2025: Enoteca ristorante in una zona di Caserta che non conoscevo. Molto carina. Ho mangiato una bruschetta alla con provola e datterini gialli, una tartare e una caprese bevendo acqua. Il conto è stato di 32€ che per Caserta non è pochissimo. Comunque il cibo non era male e nel locale sono molto gentili ed ospitali.

12/02/2025: An incredible chaos, we booked for 10 people, we found ourselves at a table for 6, we went into the room to dance, we returned to the table, we found the table occupied, with the lady's consent! Luckily they made our table again and this time for 10!

10/11/2024: All good. The wine, the bread, the first courses, the divine oil, so good only in these areas, the appetizer makes you fall in love, all excellent. The meat in sauce melted in your mouth.
