The *service was pretty poor*, with *unfriendly staff* and an *unwelcoming atmosphere*, accentuated by the *cold and unfriendly attitude of the owner*. It must be said that the *prosecco was really good*, but the *exorbitant price* ruined the pleasure. It's a shame, because the place has potential, but it needs more customer service and a kinder approach.

28/03/2026: I honestly don't understand or agree with the negative reviews about this restaurant. Tonight, my wife and daughter ate with us after making a reservation over the phone in the afternoon, and the young man who answered was friendly and kind. I've always known the atmosphere and the restaurant, even though I hadn't been there in a few years. The host is the same as always, attentive and courteous in attending to each table, with just the right amount of passion and politeness. I ate a pork cheek that let me experience the full flavor of a delicate yet flavorful dish. And then there were the homemade cookies made by Attilio's wife... pure poetry. Unfortunately, there are people out there who think that if they pay, they can do anything. I believe that every time I try or return to a restaurant, I go to explore and understand what that place has to offer, but I'm always a guest. If I like it, I'm happy to pay and return. If I don't, it means it's not what I needed at that moment. Attilio made me feel good tonight, so chapeau!

26/01/2026: A lovely, welcoming place. A friend and I went for lunch on a Saturday and, even though there wasn't anyone else in the village yet, we were greeted with a warm welcome and kindness from the owner, who made us feel at home. We ate very well and paid just as much, considering that we also bought the lentils in their soup, which were the best. Definitely worth returning.

23/03/2026: An excellent experience at this small trattoria in Prati di Tivo: I was already very impressed by the helpfulness of the lady who runs it, especially considering I called mid-morning and the phone wasn't available, but she called me back shortly after, allowing me to book a table for 1:00 PM. She shows interest in her customers. The location is cute, in the square near the cable car; there are only a few tables, but a lovely atmosphere. As mentioned, the lady was very kind, and she immediately brought us the menu, and we were served shortly thereafter. Obviously, this isn't a wedding reception restaurant, and the selection isn't extensive, but there's more than enough for an excellent lunch, using genuine local ingredients. Tagliatelle with venison ragù, red polenta with sausage, scamorza with crispy bacon, and excellent red wine. We'll be back. Thank you.

07/03/2026: Valeria, the owner, is the epitome of professionalism and helpfulness. Ask and you shall receive. With the most incredible view in Central Italy: the Gran Sasso d'Italia! Mouth-watering traditional cuisine. A comfortable atmosphere for a relaxing getaway. Come to Prati di Tivo! Enjoy yourself!

11/01/2026: Unfortunately, I have to leave one star for the terrible experience we had. We arrived with a small dog weighing just 1.3 kg, properly transported in its carrier. It's a hypoallergenic toy breed, completely harmless and accustomed to public places. Despite all the precautions, we were denied entry, with no willingness, kindness, or even an alternative solution. I find such a rigid attitude very disappointing, especially considering that in Italy, pets are allowed in public places as long as there are no hygiene or safety risks (as clarified by the Ministry of Health in its guidelines on the presence of animals in public places). Not to mention the owner of the place, an elderly lady with zero tact and empathy. I wonder how she could possibly stay in a place like this. A real shame, because a modicum of humanity would have been enough to avoid such an unpleasant experience. We won't be returning.

11/01/2026: The service leaves much to be desired, and the courtesy is lacking. The pizza is barely edible. The icing on the cake: they don't allow dogs, not even those weighing just 1kg (a toy poodle puppy) in a carrier. The result? A ruined evening, to say the least, and if it hadn't been a birthday party, we would have left... Highly not recommended, never again!

27/10/2025: The foodie tour and cooking class with Giulia was outstanding. We toured a flour mill and an organic vineyard, then went back to the masseria to make traditional Abruzzese appetizers, pasta, and cookies. Thank you, Giulia, for a truly memorable and authentic experience; it was a highlight of our trip and will live on in our grateful hearts.

15/03/2026: I returned after many years with my girlfriend, having fond memories of the past, but after being there twice within several months, I feel (temporarily) like I don't want to return. I could sum it all up as the service being far too disappointing for their standards, as one waiter for that number of diners proved to be far too small. As soon as we were seated, we had to wait several minutes for the menu, which is actually displayed entirely verbally by the staff (I understand not wanting to invest in paper, which can get damaged and is expensive, but then you should get digital tools, which are one-offs). They also do it too quickly and reductively, almost as if they were saying, "Hurry up, I have other things to do." This way, you don't get a clear idea of ​​the prices and what the restaurant actually offers. This lack of staff has also led to some orders being misplaced and service slowing down (two hours for an appetizer, half a meter of pizza, and 14 arrosticini seems insane to me). Otherwise, regarding the quality of the products and the relaxed, informal atmosphere, there's nothing to complain about... CONGRATULATIONS for preserving all of this! Years ago, I went there several times, very happily, but now, given that I've had the same experience twice in a row, several months apart, I don't think I'll be back for a long time.

01/01/2026: Terrible pinsa Aquilana is not your profession, a drunk staff member who after a two-hour wait doesn't even tell you that the dish is no longer available, distracted waitresses, and clearly the wait to pay was even longer amidst the noise and the staff who don't pay attention to you. The only thing I appreciate is the local ham, which was excellent. The location wasn't bad at all, I can't comment on the cocktails as I didn't have the chance to order them, but overall... DO NOT GO THERE. If there are more than one negative comment, perhaps your performative responses are losing their edge. Instead, acknowledge your shortcomings and try to offer at least decent service. I won't say good because that would be too much to expect given the starting point.
