09/07/2025: Given the excellent reviews, I had breakfast this morning. Croissant at least a day old. Cappuccino didn't taste good. Flies in the restaurant. Receipt #1, even though I wasn't the first customer of the day (but hopefully the last), and the usual complaint about paying by card (to get a full refund, the government has required electronic payment since January 1, 2025). Feeling nauseous now, and the day has been ruined.

There was… precisely… because for a long time Ikea has significantly worsened both in costs and in the services offered. And the Genoa store is a precise photograph of this In short, my specific case: I buy three objects, an insert module for the kitchen, an outdoor storage cabinet and an outdoor table for the balcony plus chairs. I ask for home delivery and assembly right from the start when ordering. They tell me it’s not possible. It’s not a service they do anymore, it’s outsourced to external companies with unreasonable costs. I ask at least for home delivery. We agree on Sunday 30 June early in the morning. The carrier arrives at 1 pm (a somewhat broad concept for early in the morning but oh well, it can happen). The insert module, as expected, is very complicated to assemble and would require qualified personnel and after a whole day of attempts, I give up on assembling it. The outdoor cabinet, on the other hand... magic! It's not the one I paid for! But a duplicate of the previous insert module. And if you have the unfortunate idea of ​​thinking about making a return, the procedure is so complex and logistically impossible (if I asked for home delivery because the stuff didn't fit in my car, how do I bring the same stuff back with the same car?), that the best thing to do is take everything to the recycling bins and dispose of the incorrect delivery in this way. Never mind the money thrown away. But anyway, they were the last ones spent at Ikea. I'll see about buying the module and cabinet again from other companies. As far as I'm concerned, after this experience Ikea can also close down in all of Italy starting from the Genoa store. For purchases I advise everyone to go elsewhere (you pay the same and at least you have a decent transport and assembly service), and to the enlightened managers who manage everything, a sincere applause for having removed the service that made you a winner compared to the competition: that is, the precise delivery and assembly in house. 24/05/2025: Dopo una menu degustazione in due (7 portate e vino)… pe un totale tra i 700e 800€.. il cameriere chiede : concludiamo con un caffè? E poi possiamo proporre un amaro? Finito il caffè chiedo un bicchiere d’acqua.. alla fine mi ritrovo 50 dico 50€ in più.. caffè 5 euro e un bicchier d’acqua ( no bottiglia) altri 5… Ma Come si fa dopo che ti lascio 800€ a chiedermi 5€ per un bicchiere d’acqua e 5€ per un caffè? Ridicolo .. stellati.. mah

10/05/2025: L'importanza di un compleanno da festeggiare ha condotto la nostra "brigata della stella" in questo tempio dell'alta cucina situato nella splendida Bergamo Alta. Alte come le aspettative, che certo non vengono deluse quando si arriva a Villa Elena: la location è semplicemente fantastica, maniacalmente curata e mirabilmente arredata. Tutto nelle sale (noi abbiamo cenato nella sala del camino) rasenta la perfezione, affreschi restaurati in maniera perfetta, specchi enormi e pulitissimi, sedute incredibilmente comode (le migliori della mia vita). Ovviamente tutta la componentistica è da bistellato: piatti di una bellezza da lasciare incantati, bicchieri e stoviglie al top. Così come top è sicuramente il menù metamorfosi primavera da noi degustato: chef Galtarossa ha "studiato" molto bene dai francesi l'arte di amalgamare ingredienti apparentemente distanti con cotture perfette e condimenti posti sulle pietanze al momento della degustazione che riescono a bilanciare perfettamente i "picchi" gustativi. Maniacale l'attenzione alla temperatura di servizio, con i (bravissimi) addetti di sala che a volte sembravano rallentare opportunamente per arrivare all'esatto timing di degustazione. Impossibile stilare una classifica, perchè dagli stuzzichini al pane (grissini alla paprika indimenticabili) fino alla piccola pasticceria (cioccolatino al passion fruit extrasensoriale) tutto è stato ai massimi livelli: se devo dare un "doppia lode" rispetto ai 10 e lode, penso di doverlo dare al piatto "spugnole e licheni", un piatto dalle mille sfumature che mi ha ricordato per emozione la "cena in emmaus" di Caravaggio. Ma tutte le portate, accompagnate da un Haderburg Pas dosè (ottimo) e da un eccezionale Sancerre Alphonse Mellot, ci hanno soddisfatto in pieno. Un grande ristorante, con un grande chef assistito da grandi addetti di sala, che serve grandi piatti in una grande e meravigliosa cornice. Ma proprio per questo, sono rimasto esterrefatto quando sono entrato nella toilette: innanzitutto è incredibile che ce ne fosse solo una per donne e uomini, poi anche l'accessoristica, ad iniziare dai saponi, era totalmente inadeguata al resto della location, del ristorante e di chi vi opera. Siamo usciti felici ed appagati dopo una splendida ed indimenticabile serata, in cui il nostro palato è stato deliziato in tutti i modi e le maniere possbili. Ma proprio per questo trovo inverosimile che una location che ha tutto per diventare tristellata abbia una simile limitazione. Chiudo ribadendo la mia stima ed i miei complimenti allo straordinario chef Galtarossa, al professionale, competente e mai invadente direttore di sala Marco Bragaglia ed al bravissimo sommellier Mattia Vianello. Torneremo sicuramente, sperando di trovare un'area toilette degna di questa meravigliosa perla bergamasca

21/07/2025: De vacaciones en Lago di Varese, pedimosn3 pizzas take away, riquisimas! excelente masa y productos frescos. . No nos quedamos a comer ahi pero el instante que esperamos las pizzas , observamos que el ambiente era muy agradable , atendido por sus dueños y familia, el sitio estaba lleno, señal de que se come muy bien!! volveremos en otra oportunidad

Lavorando anch’io al pubblico, mostro sempre comprensione di fronte a disservizi o inconvenienti che possono capitare perché comprendo che il lavoro del ristoratore e del cameriere sia difficile. Ma quando si è serviti con sufficienza,senza senso di accoglienza e si deve pure assistere a battibecchi fra colleghi, sinceramente certe cose da parte mia non sono accettabili perché viene a mancare il rispetto nei confronti del cliente.

02/05/2025: Ci siamo seduti a pranzo qui con parecchie riserve, lette in precedenza diverse recensioni negative... che però, a esperienza fatta, non capiamo granchè. Il menu è limitato, ma è adeguato per una pausa piacevole, è lì, ed è chiarissimo, inclusi i prezzi. Buona cucina, non inferiore di sicuro a tanti ristoranti del Viterbese. Personale giovane e gentilissimo. Conto stilato alla cassa davanti a me, semmai un paio di cose gli erano sfuggite e ho dovuto farle aggiungere io. Se poi, in una cornice del genere, ci si trova a dover aspettare un po' di più di quel che si può supporre dovuto, beh, noi ci sentiamo di ringraziare piuttosto che lamentare.

05/07/2025: Éste fue el servicio más desagradable y grosero que he experimentado en el mundo en 55 años. Nuestro camarero, Antonio, dijo que no era posible compartir una pizza. Debes pedir 2 . Cuando quisimos compartir algo con otros viajeros dijo: No es posible. Los viajeros se fueron. No pedimos más comida y nos marchamos. La pizza era mediocre. Ahórrese la experiencia de un hombre que intenta débilmente vender más productos a sus clientes. Crecí en el negocio de la restauración y fui dueño de uno durante 26 años. Como italiano, es una vergüenza para nuestra cultura. Cruza la calle hasta The Clipper Bar. Podrás sentarte en el lago Maggiore con vistas y una gran hospitalidad por parte de Giverna y el personal,

22/07/2025: We stopped for an afternoon at one of the most historic bars on the beautiful island of Capri. The service was friendly. The prices are obviously quite high, but we already knew we'd pay €8 for a coffee and €18 for a gratin, in line with the prices at the bars in the Piazzetta. I'd say it's worth trying only once.

03/07/2025: Culinary experience bordering on the paranormal. We entered hungry… and we left hungry, with our wallets lightened and a strong desire to forget. We order a caprese: half a mozzarella counted and four (4!) slices of tomato. A dish that screams “extreme minimalism”, but without elegance. The “Tribeca salad”? Eight bonsai-sized shrimp, seven slices of photocopied tomato and, at the very least, 50g of salad as sad as a Monday morning. To top it all off: two still waters and two coffees. Total? €31. For a spiritual lunch break, because only the soul has been satiated (with indignation). Courteous service, but honestly it’s not enough: here the quality-price ratio is a distant memory, like real shrimp. I won’t be back.
