17/05/2025: I can say that it is not a very welcoming place, a bare place without harmony but it has a beautiful view, the food is satisfying, the wine is good, the service is a bit slow but kind, the price is good

20/04/2025: Bad experience, it should be noted that we booked a month in advance despite not knowing the place. We were on Easter Sunday in a crowded environment with a non-existent reservation at all organised. The owner was amazed and mortified and despite this he organized us with makeshift tables and chairs. We spent 40 euros per person for an Easter lunch which was certainly worth 25. The quality and quantity of the dishes were certainly mediocre. Concluding 1 star for food, service and environment. There are better places than this in the area. The only positive note.... the view. We definitely won't be returning.

20/06/2025: We only been in the bar, had orange juices and the delicious tea granita with lemon taste. It was very good. The service was great, the waiter spoke English and introduced the tea with granita to us. Thank you.

24/03/2025: I was here for lunch. The place was half empty, so in theory I shouldn't have waited. And instead... I arrived and the black guy at the reception was too busy with his computer to say good morning and welcome me. After a while he wakes up and welcomes me and asks me to wait a second. I start the stopwatch on my watch, 4 minutes pass, where I remain standing. I was about to leave when he asks me if I wanted to sit down (I wanted to tell him: no, I'm staying standing, I have to grow up). I sit down and, instead of giving me the menu so I can at least decide what to have and fill the time (the basics of welcoming in a restaurant) they make me wait another 5 minutes this time. Still with my watch on my wrist (I remember the place being half empty). After a while a waiter arrives who is decidedly more alert and asks him if he had asked me what I wanted to drink. From behind the counter, the usual computer-loving guy asks me out loud: still or sparkling? Just like we were at the stadium. Luckily, at least the meal was decent. The waiter who was older than the others was really good at his job. In the end, though, three waiters asked me if I wanted a dessert or a coffee. They lack a bit of organization because it is a question that should be asked once, not three times.

01/04/2025: Not words! I ordered a hamburger while I was eating I found a "snail" inside my sandwich. I called the restaurant to inform them of the mix-up and instead of apologizing or making amends, they laughed in my face and told me that the salad was fresh! I asked for another sandwich since I didn't eat and they told me they had a full room. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND! I attach photos!!!

14/06/2025: I recommend this trattoria for the attentiveness of the staff and the rustic dishes served in generous portions. No problem with parking.

13/06/2025: I returned after about 1 year and found a place that had changed for the worse, unfortunately. Very limited portions at increased prices with a slightly poor quality of food. 2 things disappointed me: stale bread and moldy tart. The answer was "sorry, it can happen in the heat, I ate it this morning too, but I took it off the bill"... damn, and then we even need to pay for it

19/06/2025: Dopo aver sentito decantare questa gelateria per anni come una delle migliori di Venezia, oggi ci sono passato davanti e mi sono fermato. Ho preso una coppetta di gelato al caramello che non aveva nessun sapore, preparato non artigianalmente con ingredienti di bassa qualità. L'unico aspetto positivo è stato il prezzo, accettabile, per il quale assegno un pallino (invece di zero). Tutti i tavolini della gelateria disposti sul campo erano occupati da turisti. Credo che dopo il cambio di gestione nessun veneziano ormai metta più piede qui dentro.

04/06/2025: Gave two tiny scoops of gelato in medium cup. Probably as much as small cups at most other places.

12/03/2025: In questa location abbiamo festeggiato insieme alla famiglia il compleanno di nostro figlio Francesco è stato tutto perfetto menù ottimo e location suggestiva e pulita . Grande attenzione x i bambini ,e x le varie necessità. Molto organizzati per eventi ci torneremo sicuramente

08/01/2025: Aspettative un pochino deluse per un pranzo di natale che mancava di atmosfera oltre che di sapore. Peccato! Sarebbe bastato accendere il caminetto per l'atmosfera e curare un pochino di più i piatti.

01/04/2025: Siamo stati al ristorante la Cantina per la prima volta a marzo 2025, posto molto suggestivo e accogliente, abbiamo conosciuto Ciro che con la sua gentilezza e simpatia ci ha messo subito a nostro agio, ci ha consigliato una cena eccellente...la zuppa di castagne dal sapore intenso e particolare..e tante altre prelibatezze.. lo consigliamo assolutamente!! Ritorneremo presto per assaggiare nuovi menù!!!

06/05/2025: We tried a delivery pizza today—the taste was lovely, but we didn’t expect it to be so small, definitely not a regular size. If we had known, we would’ve ordered at least two per person. Still, the flavor was absolutely delicious!

30/05/2025: Beware of fraud! We made a reservation at the restaurant to have a good meal. The food was excellent and the taste was top-notch! We can't complain at all. Unfortunately, the surroundings weren't great. They tried to scam us. We asked if there was parking available for visitors/guests of the restaurant. There was, and we parked our car there. On the bill for the meal, we saw that €15 had been charged for parking. However, the parking lot sign stated in Italian that the parking space was reserved for guests (see photo I uploaded). After discussing this with the waiter, who then asked the manager, I also asked the other guests around us if they had to pay for parking. They all said no, because the parking space was reserved for guests. Only we were charged the €15. After back and forth and discussion, the €15 was removed from the bill, and we paid and left. Upstairs at the exit, the manager (his name is Silvio Battistoni) came towards us and cursed and insulted us. We tried calmly to explain that it was unfair why we had to pay for parking while all the other guests didn't. He simply said that everyone had to pay and that we should just ask the others. I told him that I had actually done that, and the answer was that they didn't have to pay. He got angry and didn't know what to say and just said that because we had a "supercar," we should pay the price. If we had the money for a "supercar," then we had to pay the €15. We tried to explain that it wasn't about the money, but that they were trying to rip us off. Why didn't everyone else have to pay and only we did because we had a "supercar" (his words)? He threw us out and slammed the door. Unfortunately, a very unpleasant experience. Because the food and the atmosphere were top-notch! It was really great. But having to try to cheat someone out of €15 while all the other guests don't have to pay is a real shame.

04/05/2025: Ci saremmo aspettati qualcosa di meglio, partendo dalla location ferma a trent’anni fa, servizio decisamente non perfetto e non al livello in cui si vogliono piazzare, cucina anonima, semplice, nulla che abbia quel qualcosa in più… unica nota positiva gli entreè e il dolce. A Varese ci sono altri ristoranti dove mangiare meglio.
