15/12/2025: An elegant restaurant with a refined atmosphere in the center of Cervinia at absolutely reasonable prices. The polenta concia or Valdostana is truly delicious. Both versions are flavorful. The price is a bit higher for the wine.

15/01/2026: Poor food. High prices. Main course + side dishes with Coke 0.45 euros. Avoid.

19/04/2025: The pizzas generally were very nice, as was our starter and wine. However, the service wasn't particularly friendly by 3 members of staff nor attentive. They ordered the wrong pizza for me and did not offer to correct when I queried it, making me feel as though it was my mistake?! It felt a bit frantic overall and not a relaxing environment. However, the food was very nice, make sure you book though.

16/11/2025: Perfect place, close to everything, in the city center, the rooms are cozy, the staff is great, welcoming and kind. We are in the ski area and we are very close to the lift. Excellent breakfast. Everything we asked for was given to us. Really a great hotel and recommended!

21/08/2025: Excellent restaurant located about a half-hour walk from Cervinia, offering typical Aosta Valley dishes in a relaxing atmosphere with a beautiful view of the town and the opportunity to sunbathe. The staff is friendly. Prices are in line with the location. Recommended.

07/04/2025: Dopo 5 minuti dall'ordine sono arrivati 1 spaghetto ai frutti di mare con spaghetti precotti, salsa di pomodoro abbondantissima 10 cozze ed una cicala ed 1 capasanta, 2 porzioni di carne di alce riscaldata ( 38 euro a porzione) 2 calici di vino da 11 euro, se volete essere spennati è il posto giusto, p.s.abbiamo chiesto due caffè al vetro e sono arrivati due bicchieri con in fondo qualcosa di incommentabile

09/03/2025: My visit to Chalet Etoile in Cervinia was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, the warm and friendly welcome set the tone for an exceptional evening. The staff was attentive, and the service was smooth and efficient. Drinks arrived promptly, followed by the antipasto – Tagliere Valdostana. The selection was excellent, with the standout being the mustard jam, which added a unique and delightful twist to the flavors. For the main course, I had ravioli with reindeer ragù, accompanied by berries. This dish was simply outstanding—one of the best meals I have ever tasted. The combination of rich, savory ragù with the subtle sweetness of the berries created a perfect balance of flavors. Overall, the service, atmosphere, and food quality exceeded all my expectations. A huge thank you for this wonderful experience—I can’t wait to return!.

18/10/2025: Very high expectations, which unfortunately don't reflect reality. Dry polenta, spoiled venison, and a very questionable homemade dessert for €7. Waiting with the place empty. Inadequate value for money. Too bad, the waiter was kind.

01/02/2026: As regulars at Michelin-starred restaurants, we always take the time to savor the refined local cuisine. Jose is exceptional here; the Italian cuisine has a Nordic influence. The appetizers are of good quality, though somewhat inconsistent. The main courses are also of varying quality, in my opinion. My favorite was the smoked reindeer steak, simply excellent. The gnocchi were also very tasty. We didn't have dessert this time but were treated to the final appetizers, which were truly excellent. In the end, the bill is consistent with the fact that this is an exceptional mountain restaurant. My deduction of a star is due to the fact that the quality of the dishes and appetizers wasn't necessarily Michelin-level.

01/01/2026: We had high expectation and booked the table in advance (via website). We expected Swedish/Italian fusion. Food was absolutely amazing and the experience definitely unforgettable. Creative combination of flavors, unusual and high quality ingredients. We had à la carte (2 courses and dessert with coffee) plus price included chief starter and chief dessert. I’m pescatarian so the choice was quite limited, but definitely great scallops and smoked salmon ravioli. Dessert was amazing (nori plus salted caramel!) and espresso (speciality coffee) definitely best on earth! Also very solid wine selection. A must if you are in Cervinia!

06/12/2025: One of if not the best coffee in the neighborhood. Nice comfy interior. The staff is very friendly and professional with good english. The pastries with marmalade and vanilla cream were exceptionally good. I also recommend toasts with avocado and eggs for breakfast. Don't forget that you can order them with additional eggs, salmon or bacon too.

03/12/2025: I visited this place with a group of friends. From the start, the owner seemed unfriendly: while we were ordering, she scolded my friend, asking her to close the door, which we hadn't actually left open. We ordered coffees and two hot chocolates: the hot chocolate was good, the coffee a little less so. I asked if we could sit down and was told yes. We settled in and chatted quietly before leaving. Meanwhile, the place gradually filled up, which was understandable. However, while I was in the bathroom, my friends overheard some comments directed at us, such as: "Why don't they just leave?", "How long?", "Are they still here?" Honestly, I don't think that's a good way to treat customers: we ordered, paid without any problems, and remained seated calmly, without disturbing anyone. We also received some unpleasant looks; perhaps because we were tourists, but in the end, it's thanks to tourists that they manage to make money. A more respectful attitude would really make a difference, as would greater scrutiny of people who came in just to use the bathroom or to sit in the warmth while consuming food that wasn't purchased on the premises.

30/12/2025: A nice chalet to have lunch after skiing for some hours in the Alps! We were a group of 14 guys from Romania, but I was the only beginner so I was here alone :) the rest were all the way on top of the mountain! I had a Tomato soup very tasty and of course a beer :)

30/12/2025: Pasta tastes good! There’s self service section if you didn’t make reservation, just walk in and order. Right next to ski slope. They have both indoor and outdoor seatings. Two pasta and one water only cost 30 euro!

25/04/2025: Veniamo tutti gli anni in questo ristorante ma questa volta purtroppo non è stata un’esperienza positiva per i seguenti motivi: 1. Nonostante la prenotazione in largo anticipo ci riservano il peggior tavolo della sala sotto il bancone. Chiediamo di spostarci e fortunatamente era disponibile un tavolo migliore al piano inferiore. 2. Il filetto di fassona che ricordavo molto buono, questa volta era molto duro a tal punto da aver lasciato alcuni pezzi. 3. Abbiamo chiesto un aceto balsamico ma ci è stato risposto che era terminato e non l’avevano riassortito perché “era la chiusura della stagione😳” 4. Il menù dei dolci sulla lavagna riportava numerosi dolci non disponibili perché “era la chiusura della stagione”, bastava semplicemente cancellarli dalla lavagna. 5. Il conto mi è sembrato più alto rispetto agli altri anni e riporta 3 ERRORI di prezzo che sono stati fatti presente al cameriere. Personalmente credo che anche trattandosi di fine stagione debbano garantire standard di qualità medio-alti rapportati a un conto per niente basso.

13/04/2025: People rave about this place and I can see why, they have an extensive menu, we were a party of 4 and tried the fondue, the polenta, the pear and walnut pasta and the burger and everything was excellent and presented decorated with beautiful flowers, looked good and tasted good! Plenty of options for vegetarians, portion sizes are big as well so easy to share. Can also be reached on foot without having to ski down, but is quite a climb up hill on the road.

27/08/2025: A lovely mountain restaurant, right on the ski slopes in the winter and at the starting point for numerous hikes in the summer. The owners and staff are very courteous and friendly, a rarity these days. The food is truly excellent, definitely one of the best restaurants in the valley. Opening hours are dictated by the Valtournenche cable car that connects it to the village. The view is stunning. Prices are affordable (especially considering the location).
