A modern and clean two-story venue located in a truly privileged urban setting: right in the historic center, yet tucked away in a small square hidden away from the tourist hubbub, with beautifully restored and well-maintained Roman ruins opposite. I've only been there a few times, I admit, but each time I've found the young staff to be very courteous. Food: Well, considering the menu, which is almost exclusively limited to burgers, I'd say excellent. Beer: This is their forte. Many excellent craft beers, with knowledgeable staff to explain and advise. Prices: Well, it's not cheap, but it's acceptable. Definitely worth returning to.

Not all of the food was entirely up my alley but that is one of the perks of a tasting menu where the chef selects what you get! I think it was a good value for what you get as well.

I recommend it for groups of friends and families, as well as for a romantic evening or a romantic dinner. I didn't take photos because everything was so good that I always thought about it too late.

14/03/2026: Today, Saturday, March 14th. This restaurant was highly recommended. We had polenta concia and val pelinese. Everything was truly delicious. Including the baked pears with exceptional ice cream. VERY CLEAN AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICE. CONGRATULATIONS AND WELL DONE!

09/03/2026: I'll start by saying I'm celiac. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive to gluten-free options, and the cuisine is traditional and excellent. The hazelnut and beetroot risotto, the venison steak, and the beef cheek are all top notch. The Mont Blanc mousse is superb! Pleasant atmosphere, excellent wine. Fair prices.

02/03/2026: This little trattoria is a gem, away from the tourist bustle, but only a 10-minute walk from Aosta's main square. The menu is small and thoughtful, with perfectly-executed dishes that change seasonally, and a deep and interesting wine list. It's also a great value, with prices that are considerably less than other parts of the town, for better quality. Call for a booking, as the charming but small space fills up quickly.

27/02/2026: We come to Aosta every year, and Aldente is a restaurant where we go at least once. Everything is consistently delicious,l. A special mention goes to the chocolate fondant: it is absolutely fantastic and a must-order. In fact, it is one of the main reasons our children always ask to come back! That said, it’s not just about the dessert. Everything on the menu is excellent. Thank you for another wonderful experience. We look forward to coming back again next year.
