05/04/2024: I come to eat here at least once a year. But today when I arrived at the entrance with my two little dogs I was asked a strange question: do your dogs bark? Otherwise I can't seat you. This reception surprised me. There is no sign at the entrance that dogs are NOT welcome and I also don't know how to guarantee that my dogs DO NOT bark. We have been standing at the entrance of the restaurant for 15 minutes, the dogs have not made a sound while I would like to know if mistreating customers is correct.

05/04/2024: We left the motorway looking for a restaurant on Google and we found it in front of us, attentive and friendly staff, we ordered grilled lamb and beef with side dishes, fabulous, sweet wine, water and coffee. €59.00 plus presence at the table next to us of one of the greatest Italian footballers of all time.

01/04/2024: Day trip to Orvieto from Rome. We booked and had a great time. Very good food and very honest price. First course, second course, water, wine, dessert, coffee and bitters 36 euros per person! We will be back!

05/04/2024: Characteristic place with paintings with historical references, a few steps from the Duomo. Absolutely try the focaccia with Orvieto porchetta, really tasty and satisfying with the possibility of adding: roasted potato cream, caramelized onion or vegetables.

In famiglia (6 persone) pranzo di Pasqua, abbiamo mangiato tante cose diverse - menzione di merito alla Tartare alla fonduta e alla Lasagna Pasquale (con asparagi) davvero buoni. Ottima carta dei vini (noi abbiamo optato per uno locale) e dolci davvero ben fatti. in 6 220€ (ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo) Bravi davvero e ottimo lavoro! Alla prossima!

06/04/2024: Went for dinner. The roasted quail was delicious. There are tables right at the entrance, but please be sure to reserve a table in the courtyard at the back. It's very nice and has a great atmosphere.

02/04/2024: The spaghetti carbonara was very good but not excellent. The place was very busy, but it took over 10 minutes to get a waiter to stop at our table. When we ordered dessert, they forgot to bring it. And the chocolate soufflé was actually a chocolate mousse. The decor is pleasant and the noise level high.

01/04/2024: Easter Monday, eight people, rainy day, we relied on Grano & Sale for lunch, we had a super lunch, we started with a perfect giant platter for 4, then moved on to the first courses with Manfricoli alla Narnese, always perfect and finally Sliced ​​beef I confirm as perfect, in these eight people there was also a person with celiac disease, he was very satisfied. 04/04/2024: Easter Sunday in a foreign country was coming up and I’d left booking somewhere for solo lunch a bit late. My host recommended this restaurant and put a good word in with them so I’d get first dibs at a table outside in the event of fine weather (they were fully booked indoors). I have to admit that the red and white checked table clothes made me apprehensive that it might be a sub-par tourist haunt, but it was all good. Excellent food (my first ever fresh truffles) and the wine was lovely. I’m happy to recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a delightful dining experience in Orvieto.

05/04/2024: I hadn't been back to the Taverna del Torchio for many years. It is always a point of reference for inviting cuisine with an excellent quality/price ratio.

02/04/2024: Good food, average service, excellent cacio e pepe with truffle and scallodito, less good the cockerel with mustard, good tiramisu. Fairly high prices

03/04/2024: Location worth a visit. Alternative and innovative proposals, sufficient quantities. Good quality of products. Selection of ham and bruschetta to be reviewed to optimize the quality/price ratio. The lamb stew is very good. Desserts offered with great art, small portions. Excellent wine list.

25/03/2024: Excellent restaurant, however it is not convenient to park and beware of very elderly people because they have to walk from the car park to the restaurant and then the dining rooms are on different floors and there are many internal stairs.
