Il Malandrino Bistrot In Orvieto

A fantastic restaurant where everything is really right. I haven't eaten so well in a long time, super unobtrusive and competent service. Imaginative dishes. Just great.

Easter Sunday in a foreign country was coming up and I’d left booking somewhere for solo lunch a bit late. My host recommended this restaurant and put a good word in with them so I’d get first dibs at a table outside in the event of fine weather (they were fully booked indoors). I have to admit that the red and white checked table clothes made me apprehensive that it might be a sub-par tourist haunt, but it was all good. Excellent food (my first ever fresh truffles) and the wine was lovely. I’m happy to recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a delightful dining experience in Orvieto.

Entering the Malandrino is an experience that is difficult to forget. The atmosphere is soft and relaxing, made pleasant by the notes of the music in the background. The environment is comfortable, embellished with a refined allure and a modern design but the strong point is, without a doubt, Riccardo, the owner, who offers, in every dish, creativity, quality of the chosen ingredients and competence. Every dish "speaks" of passion!! Passion in making every delicacy sublime, served with extreme care... a sort of journey of the senses through the palate. I came here for dinner, passing through Orvieto for work. A wow place for food, service, environment, location, friendliness of the owner and professionalism of the staff. Highly recommended.

Ristorante elegante e ben arredato (noi eravamo vestiti da turisti un poco sciatti) Menù molto interessante e ricercato da prezzi perfettamente in linea con quanto offerto che è veramente buono. Servizio attento e cortese. Da provare

Parto dalla premessa che mi è piaciuto tutto: dalla location a tutti tutti i piatti che ho mangiato. 

Sono stata in questo locale durante una bella serata estiva: si presenta elegante e originale. Bello sia all’interno che nei tavolini fuori, dove eravamo seduti noi. Il personale è preparato e cordiale, vengono spiegati bene i piatti e i vini (per cui c’è un’ottima lista). Il cocktail di gamberi dell’antipasto era buono, ricco e gustoso. 
Il piatto che più ho adorato sono stati i ravioli cacio e pepe con abbondante tartufo (grattato in diretta): che profumo e che sapori spettacolari! Come secondo, una bella tagliata di tonno in crosta di pistacchi e degli ottimi fritti misti da dividere: supplì, calamari, fiori di zucca.

Anche la presentazione dei piatti, che ho trovato tutti di alto livello, è piacevole e ben proporzionata. Infine pure il dessert delizioso. Che dire: da provare assolutamente se siete in zona.
