17/08/2025: A great lunch stop in Umbria! Just 6 km from the Fabro exit of the Autostrada del Sole, we decided to stop for lunch. The restaurant is air-conditioned and cool, with a view of the countryside. We ordered a mixed antipasto for five, including mixed crostini with tomato, mushrooms, and truffle, and a plate of local prosciutto. Everything was excellent! Next, we tried the Florentine steak (rare), grilled lamb chops (highly recommended), pollo all'cacciatora (sublime), flavorful guinea fowl (surprising game), and mutton skewers (very tender). All accompanied by sautéed chicory and baked potatoes. The service was extremely friendly, fast, and professional. For dessert, we tried tiramisu and zuppa inglese, both highly recommended. The value for money is excellent. In conclusion, La Castagneta is an excellent choice for relaxing and dining during your trip!

24/08/2025: No one was really taking us into notice. Once we finally got the waitress attention she took ages to bring 2 waters, 1 coffee and cake (which wasn’t even that good, quite mediocre). When she finally realised she forgot about us she didn’t even say sorry…. The place is just worth seeing it from the outside but don’t think of sitting down, it’s definitely not worth it… :(

21/08/2025: We went to this well-known pastry shop to try something traditional. Among the items on offer, we were told that some weren't ready yet (at 11:30 a.m.). I politely asked the waitress for the restroom, but she told me they didn't have one (required by law for those serving food and drinks) and sent me to the public restroom. When it came time to pay, I learned that they did have a restroom, but perhaps it was occupied, or there was no key, or other excuses. I find this shameful, first because the restroom was needed for my 6-year-old son, and second, with a €23 bill, you don't want to send me to the public restroom where non-consumers go.

15/06/2025: Locale caratteristico estremamente carino e confortevole...atmosfera familiare eccellente cantina dei vini e della carne che non avete assaggiato nei locali di fama. Non venire qui per provarre e un delitto.da ritornarci

02/02/2025: Friendly staff despite the terrible outcome given the inappropriate, uncomfortable arrangement without even having the foresight to make me eat with the tablecloth because I was arranged "as best I could". It would have been more professional to say "we are fully booked". The cold cuts were good, then I had some absolutely tasteless ravioli dipped in sauce and only then literally filled with cheap chilli powder. I ate 2 just long enough to realize that they were simply inedible!!! It was rightly taken off my final bill and I appreciated it I was with 3 other people who ate without being satisfied, each for different reasons. Disappointment for the non-existent truffle (only in cream and similar) Neither I nor they will return to this Osteria again

20/07/2025: Finalmente un ristorante che seppur in un luogo turistico ha mantenuto la propria identità . Buon rapporto qualità prezzo / buon servizio / ottime materie prime .. tutto molto corretto .. i chitarrini al sugo di pesce di lago eccellenti .. gli gnocchetti al gambero di lago perfetto sia come cottura che come equilibrio.. una splendida insalata di gfagilki del Trasimeno ed un indimenticabile ippocrasso fatto in casa

15/08/2025: Perfect, very welcoming, friendly, and accommodating staff... excellent, generous breakfasts and clean rooms with all the comforts. I highly recommend it. Plus, there's plenty of parking and it's just a stone's throw from the center of Spoleto. It'll take you 1 or 2 minutes by car at most.

09/09/2025: My wife and I spent a week in Umbria, basing ourselves at the Hotel Tuder. It was a perfect choice for seeing some splendid places every day and returning to the hotel in the evening knowing that a warm welcome awaited us, a room always well-kept and spotlessly clean, and above all, a delicious dinner featuring traditional dishes, prepared to the highest standards and enjoyed by us. The morning began with a generous, varied breakfast featuring some delicious homemade desserts. The simple yet gracious hospitality of the owners, whom we thank, made our stay even more pleasant. 14/08/2025: It's been a while since we've been back to this pub. As soon as we arrived and sat down, the waitress immediately brought us water for my dog, without me even asking. I really appreciated it. The waitresses are friendly, helpful, and nice. We ate really well. Both the burgers and the pork shank were excellent. The Oxford burger was tops. The quality/price ratio was good. Generous portions. We'll definitely be back. Friendly atmosphere. Suitable for everyone.

17/08/2025: We wandered in by chance, but were pleasantly surprised. The portions were good and generous. We tried cured meats and cheeses, truffle gnocchi, spaghetti carbonara, strozzapreti all'amatriciana, biscio (a kind of fish) and tiramisu. Friendly staff. Quick service. Reasonable bill. Congratulations!

04/08/2025: On particularly crowded days or at a slightly later time, not all dishes are available, but in any case everything is very good, especially the strangozzi and the crescia.

12/05/2025: Today, around 1.45pm. Time when students leave school in the area and for a light lunch, pieces of pizza by the slice are a good and economical choice. Well, I don't know exactly how much mess kids can make but for the restaurateurs/traders in the area they are perhaps both an easy profit and a nuisance. And here's my case: I, a twenty-seven year old with a t-shirt and backpack, wanted to taste the pizza from this historic pizzeria on the edge of Via Birago. I go in and get in line and after a minute the mustachioed and sulky owner says outside and lets me out. Great, I'm being treated like a messy kid anyway? Then you deserve this negative review and you won't see a cent from me or anyone who reads these words.

15/04/2025: Small pizzeria by the slice, excellent pizza, it also sells canned drinks, being small, it has few seats, almost non-existent parking, but given the quantity I recommend trying it.

31/08/2025: Good pizza, attentive service, friendly owner (but unwilling to source lactose-free mozzarella). I didn't appreciate the mandatory €25 fixed pizza menu plus drinks (which isn't cheap) without even being able to choose an appetizer or dessert, and the lack of lactose-free mozzarella for those with lactose intolerances (a common occurrence at every pizzeria these days), which I had to bring in a refrigerated container. I hope they can fix these small inconveniences so they can get back to the 5-star rating.

21/07/2025: A delightful discovery in the heart of Terni! I had dinner with my husband and son, and everything was delicious, from the fried food (the zucchini flowers were excellent), to the pizza (the frisella pizza was superb), to the dessert. The service was very friendly, and they even put a candle on my birthday cake because they heard it was my birthday. We'll definitely be back (P.S. I'm Neapolitan, and I've had a few pizzas, and this one was really good).

12/06/2025: Michelangelo Hotel Restaurant, for what my experience was I can only give 5 stars. Only flaw, the waitress could not open the bottle of red, passable forgiveness. Difficult to find a restaurant inside a hotel that works.

10/06/2025: Very nice place with a beautiful terrace on the roof of a hotel. The food unfortunately, I hope it was just a coincidence, did not live up to the location and the reviews. The dishes were almost tasteless, perhaps due to the raw materials, and three plates of pasta were full of oil, really excessive. As an appetizer we had a cutting board, very good but perhaps meager, and a potato cake with turmeric pecorino cream, which cream was too full of turmeric which made it unpleasant. As for the first courses: the ciriole which should have been a little spicy were not at all and the tomato was flavorless; the pasta with truffle was good but there was an excessive amount of oil; the ciriole with asparagus turned out to be a pasta with tomato and asparagus tasteless and on the menu it was not even written that they were with tomato. The only good thing were the ravioli. Added to all this is an excessively slow service and too high prices.

10/07/2025: Enoteca sul corso principale di questo spettacolare borgo . Interno di piccole dimensioni , ambiente gradevole ed intimo . Tavolini esterni sul viale. Ottima carte dei vini e proprietario molto preparato e gentile . Piatti tipici locali. Ci siamo presi 2 taglieri come accompagnamento ai 2 ottimi calici di vino. Deluso dalla qualità dei formaggi. Dubbioso su quella dei salumi (prosciutto non pervenuto . In compenso molta mortadella….) . Prezzo adeguato.

28/05/2025: Se detuvo a tomar un aperitivo. Se decidió por una copa de vino blanco, seleccionada por el ‘propietario’ acompañado de un pequeño plato de aperitivos. Ambos buenos, así que decidí probar el tinto sagratino (conseguí otro pequeño plato de aperitivo; yum). Buen servicio amable, y con explicación del vino. ¡Volveremos!

25/08/2025: I was expecting a Neapolitan pizza. We ordered two stuffed calzones. It was stuffed bread dough. The cooked ham wasn't good quality. It tasted like cooked shoulder. I wouldn't go back.

22/08/2025: Fast and friendly service. The potato croquettes were good, as were the supplì, although the rice was bland. The spaghetti carbonara was good, as was the gnocchi ai 7 mari (be careful, they're spicy!). The calzone was decent. The seafood pizza was a letdown: unfortunately, it was burned on the bottom and on one side. The other side was too soft due to the water released by the mussels.
