Beautiful family owned and operated Cantina a few steps down from street level. Wonderful cheese and sausage board, accompanied by bread, but the lasagna, oh my goodness. I'm not big on wine, but the local wine we were served from the family vineyard was fantastic, good enough to gift a bottle to our driver. Arranged and booked by Mary Roma, this was the perfect lunch to take midday between visiting Civita di Bagnoregio and exploring the Duomo and the streets of Orvieto. When the ticket came, i held my breath thinking it would be expensive based on the service and quality. Boy was I wrong, I questioned the bill to make sure it was correct. What an experience and a great value. Thank you for your hospitality and sharing your family history. Much appreciated.

Essendo vicino al Duomo,ti accende il dubbio di essere caro e turistico..ma quando si entra e si iniziano ad assaggiare i prodotti e chiacchierare con Alessandro(terza generazione di oste del locale) si entra nella tradizione più vera ..patè di fegatini delizioso, finta trippa fatta con uova ripassate al pomodoro,ottime ,ma la commozione è arrivata con la porchetta, la più buona mai mangiata nella vita..semplicemente commovente...

Being close to the Duomo, it lights up the doubt of being expensive and touristy... but when you enter and start tasting the products and chatting with Alessandro (third generation of the restaurant's innkeeper) you enter into the truest tradition... liver pâté delicious, fake tripe made with eggs sautéed in tomato, excellent, but the emotion came with the porchetta, the best I've ever eaten in my life... simply touching...

What a great afternoon of wine tasting with Alessandro. The wines were excellent and the food that was paired with it so delicious. Alessandro was so knowledgeable and kind. We can't wait to go back. Thank you so much.
