18/04/2025: Excellent appetizers and good wine pairings! The tartare is better seasoned elsewhere and the request to get another seat was rejected because it was supposedly fully booked, even though only one quarter was occupied at the end...
18/04/2025: We arrived, the restaurant half empty. We would be shown to the seat and the wine list would be brought to us. Then another bottle of still water... After that there was nothing more... All the other tables were given wine and the menus were brought... We were the last to arrive... After 25 minutes, still no one came to eat... After 45 minutes we left the restaurant without eating. Service unfortunately a 6! Never again ! Luckily we received great service and food at Mignon and decided to host our wedding there.

31/03/2025: We spent one night in the villa. The two rooms, Egon Schiele and Gustav Klimt, are beautifully decorated in Art Nouveau style and truly cozy. The villa is in a quiet location, just a 10-minute walk from the center. The two balconies and the shared backyard garden are also great. I highly recommend it! The café is truly charming with great snacks. The staff and owner were very friendly, and communication regarding the room booking was easy and straightforward. We'd love to come back!
23/03/2025: We took a short trip to Meran on a spring weekend. Katharina welcomed us warmly at Villa Bux. The artistic flair and the elegant rooms invite you to daydream and unwind. On top of that, we enjoyed 2 cream croissants, Barista Cafe and freshly squeezed fruit juices on the balcony and watched the hustle and bustle of the happy visitors from Cafe Bux. Highly recommended for connoisseurs and breakfast eaters. Best croissants in town!

10/04/2025: Not a hipster restaurant and not a star cuisine, but honest Italian home cooking like at la Mama. Few tourists, but many locals - from bankers to craftsmen who come here to eat. In any case, here is the best spaghetti carbonara we know.

Update:
On our second stay in Meran we stopped at the Trattoria Mainardo for lunch again.
It was very crowded, but we managed to get a seat without a reservation.
The food was again incredibly tasty &
the owners are warm and great hosts.
Another great recommendation for a delicious Italian meal in Meran.

16/04/2025: High quality at a reasonable price. Best sushi in the area. It's close to the one in Japan. Very friendly and courteous staff. Highly recommend the sushi ships, the number of sushis on them corresponds to those on the map, we counted them.
13/04/2025: Sushi is delicious. Summer rolls are served fried and don't have a particularly creative filling (just carrots and cucumbers) - I was a bit disappointed. Otherwise everything was good.

29/03/2025: Here I describe my personal experiences and impressions from our visit on March 12, 2025.
During our trip to Merano, we chose this restaurant for lunch.
The staff was very accommodating and friendly, yet unobtrusive. The food was delicious. I chose the three types of dumplings, my husband also chose the dumplings, and the children had schnitzel. The restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

02/04/2025: Wir waren früh schon mal hier und richtig begeistert. Jetzt war das Mittagessen richtig schlecht. Die Pilzsuppe hatte kaum Geschmack und war zu dickflüssig. Der Spargel war viel zu hart, die Kartoffeln ebenfalls. Leider sehr enttäuschend.
01/04/2025: The hotel is in the very centre,close to most things.The staff is more than helpful and friendly.The rooms are extremely small you are almost lucky if you can turnaround!! But therefore is the balcony spacious.

Not suitable for the faint of heart for 2 reasons: the climb up the stairs to get there and the prices at the end of the meal :-)
