10/12/2024: Unacceptable rudeness and arrogance: never again! I am writing this review sitting in another restaurant. Three weeks ago I made a reservation at the Mainardo restaurant in Merano for 4 people, accepting the 7pm shift rule without any problems, which required the table to be freed by 8.45pm. Last week I updated the reservation for 8 people: the girl on the phone, kind and helpful, assured me that there would be no problems, even if we arrived a few minutes late. This evening, after arriving from 300 km away, we show up punctually at 7.35pm. I send my wife and daughters ahead, along with a friend's wife and her daughters, while the friend and I park. A few minutes later we find them on the street, confused and mortified: they had just been rudely kicked out by the owner, an unpleasant and rude person, who claimed to have given the table away, treating them with arrogance and without any respect. I find this behavior scandalous and unacceptable. If you are unable to honor a reservation or treat customers politely, perhaps it would be better to close the restaurant or hand the management over to someone more competent. The owner, with her aggressive and disrespectful attitude, not only ruined the evening, but also demonstrated a total lack of professionalism. I deeply respect other people's work and this is probably one of the first negative reviews I've written in my life, but I can't ignore such a level of rudeness and arrogance. Mainardo? Never again!

06/12/2024: Very high quality/price ratio! Friendly service, with timely suggestions on food and drink to go with it. Fantastic spinach and cheese crescents, goat's cheese, honey and walnut pie that is truly worth it! Considering the prices in the area and the quality of the service offered, I put the Mainardo restaurant at the top of my recommendations!

24/07/2024: Excellent location facing the sea and the promenade, where there are many restaurants, high-end businesses and a beach club. The hotel is impeccable, combining classic and old. The staff is very attentive. The rooms are very comfortable. The breakfast is EXPECTACULAR. It exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it.

19/10/2024: How beautiful can South Tyrol be? We regularly spend our holidays in the mountains and the Zeppichl at almost 1700m skillfully sets the bar to the next level. The original inn was expanded 3 years ago with a large and beautiful new building of the very finest. There are modern apartments designed in South Tyrolean Alpine chic with a kitchen, wonderfully comfortable beds, a fireplace, balconies and terraces and much more. The hotel's own large spa area with indoor/outdoor pool, various saunas, steam bath, wonderful loungers and fresh drinks is perfect for relaxing and regenerating after long hikes. The absolute highlight, in the truest sense, is the large whirlpool on the roof of the hotel, the highest point in the whole place. Here you feel a little closer to heaven in a breathtaking setting. Marveling at the over 3000m high mountains of the Texel Group Nature Park from the pool allows you to effortlessly forget about everyday life and puts a big grin on every guest's face. The culinary experience is also great here, as the boss comes to the table for breakfast and asks how he can prepare the breakfast eggs for the rich buffet. In the evening he conjures up fine dishes on the plates either a la carte or in the course menu. The hotel gets its food from, among others, the brother who lives opposite, who runs his family farm and his butcher shop. I could go on and on with praise, but I simply recommend visiting the Zeppichl itself! If you are looking for hiking, skiing, mountains, nature, friendly people and relaxation, you will more than find what you are looking for here. 09/10/2024: Someone once wrote: “Paradise discovered at the end of the world.” We spent our summer short vacation in Zeppichl and can only confirm this. From the first to the last minute we felt comfortable. The wellness area with the new whirlpool on the roof is a dream. The food was excellent. The new rooms are very stylish and comfortably furnished. Dogs are very welcome. And what we liked best: the host family, who really put their heart and soul into being hosts, and the friendly staff. We are really looking forward to our next holiday in Zeppichl.

10/10/2024: Getting cicchettis in the middle of Meran like in Venice is really great, we really liked it here even in rainy weather and in the middle of the hustle and bustle at the bus stop. Unfortunately, there was hardly any choice at lunchtime on Friday due to the flow of visitors from the market, but the operators can't help it.

14/12/2024: The service staff was friendly. The supoe was a bit bland and the pizza was good. Unfortunately they didn't ask us for dessert or offer us a cafe. Instead, they all had dinner together. We then paid and left.

08/12/2024: Really very nice bar, where you can eat delicious things. I read about people who complain about the prices, but they are in line with the prices here in South Tyrol. I absolutely recommend the avocado toast.😍

04/10/2024: Ein fanatisches Restaurant, wir hatten Glück und haben einen Tisch auf der Terasse erhalten. Der Service war sehr gut und aufmerksam. Das Essen „Gulasch vom Jungbullen mit Knödel und Weißkrautsalat“ war traumhaft gut. Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder.

03/10/2024: Nettes Restaurant mit tollen Gerichten, hausgemachte Küche ohne Fertigprodukte. Sehr lecker und toll angerichtet. Auch der Service ist zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich. Jederzeit gerne wieder. Aber besser reservieren!

25/08/2024: Aus Flucht vor dem Regen sind wir in diesem Restaurant gelandet. Wir haben gefühlt den letzten Tisch bekommen und was uns dann serviert wurde war hervorragend. Alle Speisen von aussergewöhnlicher Qualität und Geschmack, der eigene Wein ebenso sehr erlesen. Das Restaurant ist definitiv den Aufstieg wert! Bei schönem Wetter mit Aussicht wärs sicher noch besser geworden.
