Tagliatelle with venison, overcooked and salty,
Dry shank!!
It's a shame because the service is friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant! Fair prices...

20/09/2025: It's a shame the bakery isn't open on Sundays like it used to be; it was our first stop when we arrived from Germany. Located on the main road, but with a roundabout and plenty of parking, it's always worth a visit.

24/09/2025: We were at the cafe today at 2:30 p.m., and there was only one piece of apple strudel and three pieces of buckwheat cake left. Definitely disappointing for a cafe in this location.
22/09/2025: A Mediterranean flair in Kaltern, right on the market square – enjoyment is a top priority here!
The Laubencafé in Kaltern completely delighted us! The moment you enter, you sense the welcoming atmosphere – stylish, cozy, and full of charm. Perfect for a little break in the heart of Kaltern.
A real highlight: The wines offered here from the St. Quirinus organic winery. Regional, sustainable, and simply delicious! We were particularly impressed by the Sauvignon Blanc and the Planties Red, but not only that ;) – fresh, elegant, and with a clear signature of the terroir. It's great that so much emphasis is placed on quality and regionality here.
The rest of the selection is also impressive: excellent coffee, homemade cakes (the apple strudel is a dream!), and small, fine dishes prepared with love, as well as fantastic ice cream creations. Everything is high-quality, yet down-to-earth – just as you would expect in South Tyrol.
The team at the Laubencafé is warm, attentive, and very competent. You immediately feel welcome and well looked after.
A place you absolutely must visit – whether for a leisurely breakfast, a wine break during a stroll, or a stylish aperitivo. We'll definitely be back!

03/05/2025: Man warnte uns vor der Größe der Portionen, die Bedienung riet aufgrund Menge von einem Salat ab.
Mein Mann wählte ein Zigeunerschnitzel, ich ein Pfefferschnitzel.
Portionsgröße normal.
Mein Fleisch war 4-5 mm dick und pupstrocken (Entschuldigung)
Das meines Mannes nicht viel besser.
Wir sind nicht verwöhnt, aber wir verstehen die guten Bewertungen nicht.
Das Essen war kein Genuss.
Wir werden das Lokal nicht mehr aufsuchen
06/01/2025: Tipico ristorante dell'Alto Adige, il posto è caratteristico, la cucina è ottima e abbondante. I primi sono eccezionali e i secondi perfetti. Consigliatissimo.

01/09/2024: Wir kehren gerne bei Elena Walch im Castel Rinberg für eine schöne Brotzeit ein. Tolle Aussicht auf den Kalterer See, schöne Weine und eine gute Brotzeit laden hier ein. Ein Zwangsstop beim Vorbeifahren!

13/09/2024: Gemütliches Restaurant in dem man schöne weinselige Stunden verbringen kann.
Uns hat besonders der Wurstsalat und der Kräuterspeck geschmeckt. Aber der Torgglteller für 2 war auch sehr gut.

04/01/2025: Soggiorno di due notti per una visita a Trento, Bolzano e Bressanone. In posizione strategica e tranquilla, pulito, accogliente, immerso nella natura. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo per quanto riguarda la cena, porzioni abbondanti, pizza buonissima.
23/08/2024: The opening times should also be updated on the signposts in the Rastenbergklamm, or the signs should be removed. We stood in front of closed doors at lunchtime today, a paper sign read, open today from 5:30 p.m.

08/05/2025: Der Service war sehr gut kann die teilweise schlechten Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen aber das ist wie meist individuell. Ab 17:00 Uhr gibt es Pizza die sehr zu empfehlen ist. Auch das sonstige Angebot ist sehr gut. Nette freundliche angestellte leckere Pizza Preisleistung ist in Ordnung vor der tollen Kulisse des kalterer Sees sehr zu empfehlen.

10/05/2025: Wir waren 3x dort essen.
1. Essen super 👍.
2.) das Personal superfreundlich und bemüht 🥰.
3.) der Wein war lecker 🍷‼️
Der Chef Hermann hat jeden Wein erklärt, war wahnsinnig nett 😊
4.) der Grappa war auch gut 😆.
Langer Rede kurzer Sinn:
super Essen, super Wein, super Grappa, tolle Menschen
Wir sind Weintrinker und haben einiges an Wein gekauft, Grappa auch.
Und wir sind ein bisschen traurig, dass wir Hermann und sein Team nicht mehr sehen, da Urlaub zu Ende.
12/04/2025: Wunderschöne Atmosphäre. Alter Stall, Alter Weinkeller.schön adaptiert. Sohn des Hauses kocht. Südtiroler Traditionsgerichte sehr fein und mit neuem Akzenten auf den Teller gebracht! Sehr saubere Weine aus PIWI-Sorten.
