28/07/2026: We were delighted to host our wedding reception in the beautiful courtyard of Ansitz Windegg. Elisabeth, Sabine, and Matthias took excellent care of us and our guests from the very beginning, with ease and genuine warmth. The atmosphere in the courtyard and garden, overlooking Lake Kaltern, is truly unique – highly recommended!

18/06/2026: We were guests at the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the Kaiserschmarrn for two, each with a cup of coffee and a delicious apple spritzer. I often order Kaiserschmarrn, but this time it was truly the best I can remember 😍
13/04/2026: We stopped here for lunch after a hike and weren't disappointed. The service was very friendly and attentive, the terrace offered a fantastic view of the lake, and we had a very good and generous meal. Our only minor criticism is that everything (especially the otherwise excellent homemade pasta) was seasoned rather sparingly.

16/08/2026: The food (shepherd's macaroni was good, pizza greasy due to the salami) was actually quite good. I ordered a salad as a starter – it arrived with the main course. Drinks didn't arrive until after the meal. I was told the pizza would take a little longer than the pasta today – in reality, I waited over an hour. In short: the food was generally good, but the organization and service were a disaster.
14/08/2026: We thoroughly enjoyed the food and ice cream here after a wonderful hike through the Rastenbach Gorge. Very friendly hosts. Thank you!

Food is good.
Fast service.
The dumplings could be a little softer.
Otherwise, everything is delicious.
The salad portion is enormous.
Price is okay.
15/05/2026: We had a large, beautiful, and perfectly equipped, quiet room with a view of the vineyards and direct access to the pool. The room was cleaned every day, and the beds were made with care. 😍🥰 Breakfast was perfect, with excellent coffee. Nothing was missing. The evening meals were equally delicious. The entire Rainer family is incredibly welcoming. You simply feel at home. We would love to come back again.

27/01/2026: One of the most beautiful and delicious spots in South Tyrol. "Holiday with friends" isn't just a slogan here, it's a way of life. You feel so welcome, and the food is cooked with love. Everything is homemade – juices, wine, speck... and you can taste it. Sometimes musicians come up from Kaltern, which makes it a bit louder, but always more fun.

01/06/2026: Centrally located on the market square, we were able to get a table outside at short notice in the evening – the service was very attentive! Friendly and efficient service, good selection of dishes, very good food – there's nothing to complain about. Highly recommended!
29/05/2026: The White Horse Inn is located right next to the construction site in Kaltern.
The venerable old building has a lot of character. The owners are very friendly and helpful.
