19/10/2025: This is how I imagined an authentic South Tyrolean inn to be—simply wonderful. The chef whirls through the restaurant taking orders, followed by a delicious meal in a wonderful setting. The goulash with dumplings was a dream, and the coleslaw was also delicious. We'll be back. Cheers to the kitchen.
13/10/2025: The waiter was very friendly. We didn't have a reservation and it was packed, but the waiter still managed to find seating for everyone. The food was all delicious. Even though the restaurant was full, our food arrived fairly quickly, and the waiters were kind and very attentive.

11/10/2025: An absolute highlight from start to finish during our week in Kaltern.
That means: excellent, attentive, and friendly service without being overly pretentious or overly fussy, and various seating options were offered depending on your preference. The prices are a bit high, but definitely worth it -> extremely delicious and perfectly prepared. A great wine selection. All in all, a fantastic evening, and we will definitely be back on our next visit to Kaltern!

11/10/2025: Always happy to come back, always great! The portions are generous and fresh, the fries are crispy, and the meat portions are good and plentiful. We'll definitely be back. Our house cat even graced us with a visit. 😃
08/10/2025: Self-service, fast. Even though the place was busy, I didn't wait long. Maybe 15 minutes. The cooks were quick and the food was good. Above all, I found the price to be fair for what I ate. Sliced steak, water, side dish, and potatoes plus water cost €23. I was surprised by the speed and quality.

05/10/2025: We've been coming here every fall for six years and feel very comfortable here. It's a family-run hotel offering breakfast or half board and an outdoor pool.
It's located directly on Lake Kaltern. Everything has been newly renovated, and a beautiful winter garden for breakfast and dinner was added two years ago.
03/10/2025: A superb base for various excursions between Merano and Lake Garda. The food and drinks—especially Arthur's wine—are delicious. The entire staff is very attentive, and the owners are extremely kind to us guests. We'll definitely be back.

09/10/2025: It's okay, but it feels like a fast-food restaurant.
It's all very hectic, and you don't dare to stay for a while after eating, but that's not so bad considering how hectic it is.
The food is okay, and the servers are friendly.

29/10/2025: I haven't been this impressed in a long time! A truly charming atmosphere and really good, high-quality home-style cooking! Very friendly service, and the owner was right there in the thick of things and so incredibly likeable 👏🏻
The food was served quickly, too.
Tip: Try the trio of dumplings and the Kaiserschmarrn! 🤤
The only downside is the very narrow entrance and parking situation. But that somehow fits with the "hidden gem" vibe 😅

21/10/2025: Excellent and hearty typical Tyrolean dishes, their beer is something exceptional. Tonight I had cream of pumpkin soup with ginger croutons, shank with sauerkraut and a speck dumpling. The house beer was really good. Yesterday I tried the Augustiner, which is one of my favorites, but there's really no comparison. Congratulations to this beer garden. To finish, an apricot grappa 😋🤤
