11/11/2025: A typical South Tyrolean tavern where you sit at large tables with other diners. Excellent food, extensive menu. Excellent wine and beer. Fast and accurate service. Payment only in cash or via instant bank transfer. Call on weekends as they are often full.

14/11/2025: We had reserved a table for dinner for two. The service was exceptionally attentive, going above and beyond, from offering complimentary wine tastings to bringing an extra bread basket free of charge. The bread was sensational, the food regional and delicious, and the ambiance, a restored farmhouse, is beautiful. We were very satisfied and would gladly return.

08/03/2026: For many years, if we work near Vadena, Bronzolo, Caldaro, or Magrè, we can't help but go to them. The quality of their dishes has never changed. There have been changes in some staff members, due to pre- and post-COVID regulations, but the food is always a guarantee. Well done!!!

03/03/2026: A must-see on the way back from a skiing holiday. The food is excellent, plentiful, and reasonably priced! On weekends, you'll need to be patient due to long lines, but the well-organized staff keeps the wait to a minimum.

17/02/2026: Restaurant Panholzer on Lake Kaltern is a fantastic location. We booked a table there for my wife's birthday. The food and the staff were outstanding. Lovely atmosphere. We will definitely come back and enjoy the food again. Thank you and keep up the great work!

18/12/2025: Honestly, I thought it would be better. The food is average; we order half a liter of white wine, 1 bottle of water, 1 plate of ravioli, 1 beef escalope, 1 plate of roast beef with potatoes. Nothing special (including the restaurant).

31/10/2025: If we could give 10 stars, we would. The food is excellent, the service is friendly and top-notch, and the atmosphere is cozy. The cappuccino is also delicious. The friendliness of the staff is particularly noteworthy, as it's not something you can take for granted everywhere these days. We're there practically every day during our vacation. Thank you, and please stay just the way you are!

27/10/2025: Every visit to the funny crocodile is an experience! The atmosphere alone is special. Peter's service is personal and makes you feel right at home. The menu is small but delicious, and Stefan cooks the best lasagna ever (but he's not the only one ☺️). A must-visit on any holiday in Kaltern!

15/10/2025: During our vacation in South Tyrol, we found this small restaurant on Goldgasse in Kaltern. We were very pleasantly surprised by the food: tortellini filled with porcini mushrooms and truffle foam, and very well-filled herb pasta. We sat across from the restaurant in a small garden with only five tables. It was incredibly cozy and elegantly set, and the weather was perfect on October 15th. A dream, with very friendly service. Thank you, it was a very nice lunch.

12/03/2026: We spontaneously decided to stop by for a glass of wine. We then got a little hungry and of course ordered some food as well. The food was excellent and the service was so efficient that we spontaneously returned the next evening and treated ourselves to another delicious meal. Keep up the great work! 🙏

06/12/2025: “Open Restaurant” - quote. We went in, asked for a menu, and if the kitchen was open, the answer was, “No, it opens at 6:00 PM.” I recommend removing the sign in this case!

27/01/2026: One of the most beautiful and delicious spots in South Tyrol. "Holiday with friends" isn't just a slogan here, it's a way of life. You feel so welcome, and the food is cooked with love. Everything is homemade – juices, wine, speck... and you can taste it. Sometimes musicians come up from Kaltern, which makes it a bit louder, but always more fun.

The location is idyllic – with a direct view of the lake, surrounded by vineyards and nature. The restaurant is stylishly furnished, well-maintained, and immediately evokes a vacation feeling. The food is outstanding: The pizzas are crispy, the ingredients fresh and high-quality. Pasta, fish dishes, and desserts are also delicious and beautifully presented. You can tell that the food is prepared with love. The service is friendly, attentive, and professional – you always feel welcome. An ideal place to enjoy the view with good food and a glass of wine. The price is absolutely reasonable for the location and quality.
