26/12/2025: We spent 10 days at the hotel this summer and can say that the rooms are spacious and perfectly adequate. They were clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet offered plenty of options, and special requests like scrambled eggs were freshly prepared and delicious. The highlight, however, was the dinner: a three-course meal plus dessert. Highly recommended, and open to everyone, even non-hotel guests – it's a restaurant for all. The service and the hotel staff are all very friendly and welcoming. The hotel's location is excellent for hikers, as you can take the cable car to Sankt Martin im Koffel or simply explore one of the countless other hiking trails. The cable car to Merane and other destinations was also available; everything ran smoothly and was punctual. For us, it was a wonderful hiking holiday in a small, uncrowded village. 18/10/2025: I can only agree with the reviews. Very friendly staff, the best pizza in a long time. Everything was perfect. Gorgonzola + extra spicy salami + garlic. And it's brought by Robi. Great.

15/10/2025: We hiked up from the Schnegga Soge parking lot in a leisurely 1.5 hours. The people at the hut were very friendly. You can sit outside on the lovely terrace or in the dining room, which isn't particularly spacious, though. The food was excellent, and it's a truly beautiful alpine hut.

29/11/2025: The strudel here is incredible. I highly recommend the shortcrust pastry one, especially—it's truly delicious. I don't understand why other people have found the staff rude or unfriendly, as they were otherwise very kind and helpful. If you need to give someone a gift, trust me, you can't go wrong with this strudel.

31/03/2026: They have vegan-friendly options (piadina, sandwiches, and falafel pizza)! But be careful, you have to ask for the yogurt sauce without.

20/11/2025: For over six years, for a good pizza or an excellent kebab, we've been coming to Babilonia Pizza and Kebab. On average, once a week, we take advantage of the pizzeria's home delivery service, and our order always arrives hot and tasty, as if fresh from the oven. We believe the pizza is the best on the market, made with meticulous attention to quality ingredients. Besides its flavor, the dough has the advantage of remaining soft and firm even after it cools. The kebab is always fresh and flavorful, never dry or woody. Our friends and family, after trying both at our place, have become Babilonia customers themselves.

27/01/2026: I wasn't familiar with this bakery, which is slightly out of the way from the town center but easily accessible, despite having visited San Candido on several occasions. The shop is spacious and welcoming, but—given our short visit—it was valued more for the purchase I made: a 1 kg tray of traditional, assorted, and truly delicious biscuits. I always cherish the wonderful memory of similar biscuits, homemade in Santa Cristina Val Gardena by a dear friend's grandmother, absolutely unsurpassed. Well, some of the ones I bought at the Trenker bakery reminded me a bit of my grandmother's biscuits... The price was more than reasonable, considering the "standard" of the area...

10/11/2025: Trenker at Senfter Platzl! Trenker is popular everywhere and has made a name for itself far beyond the region. I find the location lovely – a small, elegant shop with a wide selection, tucked away yet easy to find, away from the hustle and bustle and only a few steps from the center. Highly recommended.

02/02/2026: Stayed here in Jan, 26 for our family ski vacation in Dolomites. The hotel was not fully booked and being not too busy was a privilege, all stuff: reception, bar & servers were extremely helpful and attentive, which made our stay pleasant. Our apartment was huge, clean and comfortable, just the pillow were too thin, but I guess that's a preference. Breakfast can be richer in terms of variety and if the pool was warmer during our stay we could have used it. Overall we're happy and thankful to the whole team for their hospitality. Family's tip: the kids club is big enough to entertain 2 small children - our were 1 and 4 at the time of visit and they spend a lot of time there.
