17/09/2025: Staying for one night in this little town and not wanting to go far for breakfast, we stopped here because the counter looked very interesting.
I ordered a croissant, a cream-filled cake, and another almond cake.
Good quality, friendly service, and prices in line with local prices.

10/04/2026: If you’re anywhere near Santo Stefano, do yourself a favour and go to Tantalus Pizzeria.
This is hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had perfectly cooked, incredible flavour, and clearly made with real care. The service was just as impressive: warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming.
And just when you think it can’t get better… the tiramisu. Absolutely unreal the perfect ending to an already amazing meal.
The food was so good I had to come back again the very next day. That says everything.

01/11/2025: A very nice restaurant with fabulous views of the Dolomites, etc. For this reason alone, the slightly higher prices are justifiable; moreover, it should be said that the food here is excellent.

21/02/2026: Erdi is the best bartender in Dolomites!! Dangerous friend if you have to work the next day, but amazing! We had so much fun returning here several times during our 2 weeks stay. The bar is very friendly, welcoming and a great spot after skiing. They have some light snacks but they also allow you to order pizza in. They have a TV with sports if that's your thing!
Make sure to ask for Erdi's spritz!!!
16/10/2025: Anyone in Castelrotto has to go there. A visit, especially during the Castelrotto Spatzenfest (Spatzen Festival), is practically a must. The atmosphere is outstanding, with plenty of mountain hut flair and music from the Spatzen. Great.

07/04/2026: Truly a precious resource!! Excellent food, reasonable prices (no cover charge). The nearby children's playground is also worth a visit. It's almost always open (except Monday evenings). Simple but with a warm welcome. We enjoyed an excellent Easter 2026 menu: fabulous quality and generous portions (ask for a container to take home what you didn't eat) at a truly reasonable price (€35 including water and coffee). Well done Gloria and her entire staff!
13/03/2026: I went there with a group of friends.
Unfortunately, I/we were totally disappointed with the pizza(s):
The dough was completely dry and hard, as well as black and burnt around the edges (see photo). The only edible part was where the toppings were, although we had to remove some of that too because it was burned.
I don't know what the food was like because we didn't try it, but the dishes we were served looked promising.
The desserts were industrial-style, not "homemade."
What a shame, a huge disappointment, an experience we won't repeat.

26/02/2026: We had a great meal at suinsom!! We both got the five course rope - spoiler alert it’s more like 11 courses with 2 starters, bread, 1 extra course, pre- dessert and petit fours. Honestly every dish was fantastic. If you’re in Selva, I highly recommend booking dinner here!

01/01/2026: This was my first time trying this restaurant, out of curiosity, and honestly, I wasn't disappointed. The food was fresh and authentically Italian, and the service was very pleasant and quick. I highly recommend going there for a meal or an aperitif. I'll definitely be back very soon! 😉✌️
