24/02/2026: An experience to forget! I ate the worst fried food of my life! Five of us couldn't eat it and left it on our plates. Because of the inconvenience, they remade one and put it in the middle for us to share. This one was a little less bad. In any case, they made us pay the full bill except for the last offering. The only positive thing was the service, because I can't fault the waiter.

12/10/2025: We've had two delicious meals here! Generous portions at a good price. Don't forget to make a reservation. It's so busy for a reason.

21/09/2025: It's impossible not to fall for it if you're vacationing or just passing through Marina di Torre del Lago: Ristobar da Carla is an essential stop, especially since it's the only one of its kind in the area. A bar, café, grocery store, bakery, fruit and vegetable shop, and household items... Carla is all this and more, as it transforms into a highly popular restaurant with table service at lunchtime. A wide variety of dishes are available, available à la carte or with extremely affordable set menus that never disappoint, both for their authentic flavor and generous portions. From seafood to land, you'll find it all here: lasagna, pasta, rice, seafood, salads, cured meats, and much more. The chaotic yet cheerful atmosphere makes it irresistible and a little anxious, especially on weekends, when reservations are recommended. It's a shame it's not open for dinner, as it closes at 7 p.m., unfortunately leaving room for the adjacent tourist-ripping eateries... A true institution! Very good.

17/02/2026: We stayed here for two nights, and on the first evening we also opted for dinner. I'll start by reviewing the rooms. The rooms are clean and welcoming, and although very small, they are equipped with every comfort. The hotel is also in a very strategic location, both for the seafront (immediate access to the carnival, by the way) and for reaching the main attractions. The restaurant is beautiful, clean, and the food is good. The staff is super welcoming and helpful. If we ever return to Viareggio, this hotel will be our go-to. A big hug also from little Edo, who was welcomed with such love and attention!

03/08/2025: Io e dei miei amici siamo venuti a mangiare a cena qui per un compleanno. Come da titolo il compleanno era organizzato giropizza. Sono state portate circa 2 pizze ogni 8 persone e hanno avuto pure il coraggio di chiedere se ne volevano altre. Dopo ulteriori richieste ne hanno portate altre, ma non siamo riusciti a mangiare più di 3 fette a testa. Il prezzo è da TRUFFA. 25 euro per 3 fette di pizza di qualità nemmeno eccelsa. Farei le mie feste di compleanno qui solo per fare un torto agli invitati.

22/10/2025: I stopped here because I desperately needed the restroom, but it was absolutely filthy. The service was okay, and the ice cream was delicious.

20/08/2025: Disappointing. The reviews are excellent, but the gelato is just plain old gelato. Fast service, and you can sit outside.

10/03/2026: Terrible, terrible, terrible!!!! We waited an hour for a first course, explaining that it was rush hour... maybe they're quicker at 5 pm? Not satisfied, they served us COLD spaghetti with clams and fried calamari and shrimp. The owner, completely indifferent to our dissatisfaction, managed to charge us 9 euros for half a glass of white wine... PLEASE DON'T GO THERE!

15/01/2026: Given the sunny day, we decided to have lunch at this restaurant, attracted by the menu board at the entrance. We waited for the waitress, whom we kindly asked to clean the tables and chairs because they were covered in sparrow droppings. We then ordered from the menu, but after four "we don't have them," I said, "Why don't you show us the daily menu with what you have?" At the end of the day, they only had fried fish and first courses... We chose two first courses (neither praise nor infamy), half a liter of sparkling wine, a basket with four microscopic slices of bread, and half a bottle of mineral water: €33.00... The atmosphere was rather shabby, as was the entire Marina di Torre del Lago, characterized by closed and abandoned restaurants. A disgrace. Never again.

07/06/2025: A place managed by very professional people who have been able to give a touch to this bar that offers a service from breakfast to aperitif, very good food too if you want to eat something especially at lunch and they are supported by a great team of very good girls, polite, professional and always smiling, I recommend this cafe to everyone.

12/10/2025: I had a simple pasta with tomato sauce that changed my day, compliments to the chef and I will return, we also ate the fish, delicious!

10/09/2025: The food quality is excellent. However, the service is slow and a bit inattentive, which could be improved. Prices are reasonable for the quality.

29/06/2025: Premetto che non posso giudicare i piatti del ristorante ma la pizza realmente indefinibile ed inqualificabile.Sottilissima quasi sfogliata unta di olio e totalmente scondita al modico prezzo assurdo di 9€ per una semplicissima margherita. Conto finale salatissimo. Locale poco accogliente, tavoli al caldo e apparecchiati in parte. Esperienza da non ripetere.

29/06/2025: Ristorante di livello con piatti preparati con cura e molto molto buoni. Personale servizievole e gentile. Vasta scelta di vini dal bianco, rosso, rosato e bollicine. Giardino meraviglioso e tavoli con tovaglie e bicchieri di classe. Rapporto Qualità/prezzo alta. Abbiamo preso degli antipasti e un risotto ai frutti di mare oltre al dolce. Tutto di alto livello. Consigliatissimo. Ci torneremo spesso.

27/08/2025: First of all, I have to say that gourmet pizzerias need to stay quiet. Lory's pizza is without a doubt the best in Viareggio. The owners are friendly, down-to-earth, and welcoming, and the place has a slightly 1980s feel. Never change, you'll be great.
