30/10/2025: The restaurant is nice, located just steps from the beach. However, the dishes I ordered didn't quite meet my expectations or those of my companions. The seafood risotto was really overcooked, and the seafood carbonara was too thick. The fried food, however, was good, as was the dessert. The service had a few hiccups, but the waiters were friendly and always available. There's ample parking outside. The price, in my opinion, is a bit high.

16/08/2025: Last night, August 15th, an evening to forget. The service was very poor and unskilled. We ordered three starters and two fried dishes. We waited 4 hours, constantly asking for faster service, but they didn't even bother. We ended up without dessert or coffee because the waiters had disappeared. Crazy stuff. We even glimpsed the owner at the back of the register. A very negative experience.

21/02/2026: 1. At the entrance there was a woman asking for personal information in order to do something with RANGE ROVER, which was out of place for the kind of experience we were expecting; 2. The service was excellent! 3. The spaghetti with clams were unfortunately over salted, even though the quality of the food was excellent; 4. The pasta with truffles was delicious and delicate! 5. The seabass with capers and olives was excellent (but a bit over salted). We are looking forward to coming back, but the next time will mention to put less salt!

11/01/2026: I dined at Giardino dei Mari in Viareggio and the experience was overall very positive. Following the staff's guidance, I tried a sea bass with Vernaccia wine, which was simply phenomenal: a perfect balance of flavors and incredibly fresh fish. The paccheri were also very good, cooked to perfection and well-seasoned. For me, fried fish is always the "test point" for a seafood restaurant: the mixed seafood was excellent, crispy and flavorful, but unfortunately the squid had the wrong texture, which detracted somewhat from its pleasantness. It's a real shame, because this detail prevents me from awarding a fifth star, despite the fact that the closing was a success with some phenomenal desserts. Overall, an excellent place where the passion for cooking shines through. I'll definitely be back to be amazed by their dishes again!

09/12/2025: Today was the Avo Versilia New Year's Eve celebration. About 50 of us gathered for the New Year's Eve lunch. Odilio is a well-known restaurant in Torre del Lago. The location is clean and not very bright, making it excellent for family lunches, business lunches, or groups of up to 60-70 people. We enjoyed a well-prepared, traditionally prepared fish menu. The prices were moderately low, and the staff was friendly. Everything was fine.

17/11/2025: We waited half an hour to order, and an hour to get our pizzas, since they gave priority to takeout orders! This is unprofessional! The pizza isn't as good as recommended...

26/08/2025: I've been to this beach resort for lunch and dinner and have always had a great time. The food is good, especially fish, the staff is friendly, and the location is truly beautiful. I recommend going there for dinner because the atmosphere in the evening is very welcoming and relaxing.

18/08/2025: I'm not reviewing the bathroom because I only went here for dinner, which was excellent. Prices are a bit high, but they're in line with the quality of the food.

10/11/2025: Small bakery, a treasure trove of delicacies, I bought typical Tuscan unsalted bread, but there's plenty to choose from.

10/03/2026: On Sunday we went for lunch and found a very rude waitress, fortunately the other girl in the cafe was kind and friendly.

10/11/2025: A quick lunch break during our tour of Viareggio in early November. We chose this little place on the promenade for the small glass-fronted terrace, which ensured a pleasant temperature. We ordered two stuffed piadinas and then a Nutella crepe to share for dessert, all washed down with two bottled beers. Unfortunately, they didn't have any on tap, even though it was on the menu. However, my piadina wasn't cooked through, and the mozzarella was still cold. The service was very quick, and the staff were friendly. The restrooms, however, are very small and difficult to access due to the narrow corridor. There was no cover charge, and the final bill was €28, as per the attached receipt.

17/08/2025: In a summer where everyone complains about beach prices, I found excellent service here at a more than fair price. Well-spaced umbrellas (there were days when we had four lounge chairs under our umbrella and didn't bother our neighbors at all) and free parking for guests, at an unexpected price and with a proper receipt. The managers are kind and honest. Congratulations! We'll be back!

12/08/2025: Excellent beach resort, quiet and without any noise. The restaurant is excellent, with reasonable prices considering you're enjoying a fish dish practically on the beach.

30/10/2025: The best 100% gluten-free ice cream shop in Viareggio. They also make custom cakes for birthdays and special events.

23/10/2025: The owner Monia is a very helpful and attentive person and offers the world of celiacs, thanks to her commitment, the opportunity to feel in the right place.
