04/11/2025: In Viareggio, we were looking for a kiosk... but we couldn't find one: the kebabs didn't inspire us, so we chose this little Chinese restaurant where we had lunch with the all-you-can-eat option. Everything was good/average. The staff was friendly. The restaurant is a bit dated, as I recall, and there was limited space between the tables.

03/11/2025: Simply divine... Service, food, price... Everything is perfect.. Very, very highly recommended!

08/05/2026: For May Day, two of us arrived at 1pm and got the last table. The mixed appetizer was good, but the fried calamari and prawns, already peeled, were fantastic, perhaps the best I've ever eaten, and I'm that old. Then the view, the service, everything was ok. Great day. And anyone who thinks they can eat good fresh fish for less than €40 should go to McDonald's.

07/05/2026: Terrible, a distant memory of what the restaurant was like a few years ago. Exorbitant prices, the only redeeming feature is the service.

01/04/2026: Extremely uncivilized. Once we arrived, we were two more people than had been booked for a table. Let's start with the assumption that as a favor to their friends, our table had been split into five smaller tables, to leave the large table to whoever they wanted. Let's overlook this, they are in the wrong because we are two more people than had been booked, so I move aside but am interrupted even as I was moving away from the owner who yells at me, "GET OUT OF THERE I HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE TRAYS!" I assure you that even an elephant could have passed through; it didn't appreciate the arrangement of the two extra people. No big deal, we left and went home to eat, but there they can't see me again, not even with binoculars. P.S. I find myself adding a footnote because the employer or whoever on their behalf has added FALSE INFORMATION. We arrived and asked if we could be seated, without actually sitting down, just asking where we could sit, and WE WERE NOT GIVEN A PLACE TO SEAT, let alone move around as they say. Sometimes it would be better to admit you made a mistake...

29/04/2026: We had three kinds of seafood as a starter—it was amazing. For the main course, we had excellent lobster with pasta and mussels with pasta. The service was fast and pleasant, which unfortunately can’t be said about other restaurants here. 99% of the guests in the restaurant were locals.

15/10/2025: Amazing place for a UK visitor. Great selection of Beers, impressive service when busy. If "cafe culture" is not your thing and you want to watch some sport, play pool and have a pint here is your place.

12/02/2026: Chef Landi and the sommelier delighted me with a superb tasting menu and an equally excellent wine pairing. I chose the "Apuane and Reclamation" menu, a crescendo of flavors. The linguine was the dish that impressed me the most. The only flaw was the marrow that concluded the savory menu. Despite being delicious and masterfully paired, the quantity was truly minimal; I ended up with a "poor" piece. The wait staff and service were top-notch!

28/04/2026: The location wasn't bad. The Negronis weren't my cup of tea, all with too much soft ice and in glasses I didn't like.

06/05/2026: Fabulous setting with attention to detail, just a few meters from the beach. A finely set table and knowledgeable, friendly staff. Fresh fish dishes cooked to perfection. The quality/price ratio is definitely spot on. We'll be back.

27/08/2025: First of all, I have to say that gourmet pizzerias need to stay quiet. Lory's pizza is without a doubt the best in Viareggio. The owners are friendly, down-to-earth, and welcoming, and the place has a slightly 1980s feel. Never change, you'll be great.

02/05/2026: We had a large T-bone steak—the meat was incredibly tender—and delicious potatoes, along with spinach and wine, and sea bass. The restaurant has a simple decor and plenty of seating, but it's worth reserving in advance.

21/09/2025: It's impossible not to fall for it if you're vacationing or just passing through Marina di Torre del Lago: Ristobar da Carla is an essential stop, especially since it's the only one of its kind in the area. A bar, café, grocery store, bakery, fruit and vegetable shop, and household items... Carla is all this and more, as it transforms into a highly popular restaurant with table service at lunchtime. A wide variety of dishes are available, available à la carte or with extremely affordable set menus that never disappoint, both for their authentic flavor and generous portions. From seafood to land, you'll find it all here: lasagna, pasta, rice, seafood, salads, cured meats, and much more. The chaotic yet cheerful atmosphere makes it irresistible and a little anxious, especially on weekends, when reservations are recommended. It's a shame it's not open for dinner, as it closes at 7 p.m., unfortunately leaving room for the adjacent tourist-ripping eateries... A true institution! Very good.
