The cuisine is refined, with dishes that surprise with their originality and balanced flavors. A real added value is the sommelier: friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable, he was able to recommend wines that perfectly matched our dishes, with personalized and targeted suggestions that further enhanced the gastronomic experience. Among the dishes we tried, the seafood carbonara was a true experience to remember. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to experience an evening of taste, professionalism and a welcoming atmosphere.

02/06/2025: We went to this restaurant for dinner and we had a great time. The cuisine is of a good standard, with well-executed dishes and quality ingredients. The service was attentive, especially the sommelier, who recommended excellent pairings and helped us discover interesting wines, enhancing the meal without being intrusive. The restaurateur was also very kind, and contributed to making the atmosphere welcoming and pleasant. Definitely a place to return to with pleasure.

12/05/2025: We went on Saturday night for a birthday dinner, there were supposed to be 40 of us but unfortunately there were 32 of us, and in the end without telling us anything they made us pay for the 8 who weren't there, something like this has never happened!!! The service was really terrible, I've never been treated rudely by waiters in my life, not only did they answer badly to me but to most of the table... they served us quickly as if they wanted to send us away... we were eating the first course and at the table next to us they were already pulling up chairs on the tables to make things difficult for us, the agreed price included things that some diners never received but as said before we also had to pay for those who weren't there A very bad experience... I don't recommend it, too bad many years ago it was a completely different restaurant.

14/05/2025: Siamo ritornati con piacere al Merlo ed è sempre una bella esperienza in questo locale elegante, posizionato sulla spiaggia con un rigoglioso giardino ben curato.. La cucina è raffinata, ben curata e di qualità elevata con ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Il servizio sempre molto cordiale, disponibile e professionale. Ritorniamo sempre molto volentieri e lo consiglio agli amanti del buon gusto.

Being a historic panoramic restaurant with typical local dishes, we tried a platter of cured meats and cheeses with honey, tordelli with ragù, ravioli with speck, pappardelle with mushrooms, fried chicken which is one of their strong points - unmissable! - sliced ​​with rocket, sirloin with grilled vegetables. According to other customers, the tarte tatin was also extraordinary, but I wasn't able to try it. House red wine and white Preludio, valid. Fast and welcoming service from Marco and the exceptional staff. Panorama from the table of incredible beauty, you could see the sea at sunset even the island of Palmaria.
