02/05/2026: One of the best restaurants in the Follonica area, also specializing in gluten-free options. Dinner with friends, we ate all seafood, and they even offered us extra seafood spaghetti because we waited too long. Other restaurants won't do that, even if you ask! Everything was truly delicious. Thank you so much, you're the best!

27/04/2026: I visited this restaurant with my family after finding it in a non-Italian "gluten-free" guide! They raved about it, so we decided to try it... If I could give it 100 stars, this would be the perfect opportunity! The place is cute, the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, but the real star here is the food! In the photos, you can see the wonderful gluten-free products, all prepared by them: the fantastic fried shrimp and squid with French fries, their delicious bread, crispy and light, ricotta and spinach ravioli with seafood ragù, and finally a taste of cheesecake and ricotta cake, all accompanied by excellent wines!! A highly recommended place, especially for the gluten-free options! Well done, well done, well done!! Congratulations to all of you! I really hope to be able to return to enjoy these delicacies! Thank you!

02/12/2025: Excellent quality gelato. The flavor is exceptional, the best I've ever had. Flavors vary seasonally. Very welcoming and courteous staff. Unfortunately, there aren't any tables inside—there wouldn't be enough space—but on a bitterly cold day, we were welcome to eat gelato standing inside.

12/04/2026: I found myself alone in Piombino for work and, intrigued by the reviews, I decided to dine at Taverna dei Boncompagni. The quality of the food (from appetizer to dessert) and the service were superb. The skate and the dry-aged snapper took me back to Japan, the risotto delicious, the yuzu dessert a refreshing finish to cleanse the palate. Simone was a unique host, demonstrating great hospitality and an in-depth knowledge of the ingredients and wines. The #1 restaurant in the area, I recommend everyone to try it!

03/05/2026: The Aperiveg platter is spectacular! A feast for the eyes and a constant surprise with the various morsels that make up this culinary masterpiece. The octopus and pasta with shellfish are worthy of an Oscar. The chef is very young (but already very experienced) and her eyes radiate passion. The freshest ingredients, everything handmade, including the pasta, and meticulous attention to detail goes into the choice of table accessories. Well done!

We paid €3 per person for “coperto” and received five tiny, tasteless bread slices that felt like leftovers from a hospital tray. The “pasta with octopus” was actually six overcooked ravioli — 20€ for six pieces. That's not a portion, that's a joke. The sauce tasted like someone stopped caring halfway through. As a certified cook, I can say confidently: this wasn't a meal, it was a rip‑off. The total bill was €50, for mediocre food, and an experience I wouldn't repeat. In a room that was already too hot its still an experience. The staff was basic. The view was basic, nothing special, and the whole place felt tired. The toilet? Broken handle, no urinal, everyone forced to aim at the same tiny bowl, and the light turns off while you're sitting there. It feels like a design flaw nobody bothered to fix. And honestly, the only genuinely beautiful thing about the whole place were the waitress's eyes - Nice eyes don't save a bad restaurant. In short: Overpriced, underwhelming, uncomfortable, forgettable. The only thing you'll remember is the disappointment. If you're thinking of eating here, do yourself a favor and skip it. 14/01/2026: FUOCO ALLA TORRE - It's more than a restaurant. One of the best places I've ever visited. If you think you know what real taste is, you might be mistaken if you haven't been here yet. The chef is a master of the highest level, who has brought together in this restaurant all his experience, character, and the best qualities of a true chef. I was honored to meet him in person. I recommend: if you're in this city, definitely stop by. You definitely won't regret it.
