18/01/2025: Do you see a lot of queues? Don't be discouraged because they are all there for one thing only, the MAGNIFICENT ICE CREAM!!! The waffles and even the ice creams are gluten-free, there are lactose-free options. If you have a sweet tooth you can add a little cream, which never hurts. They make the ice cream there and are all local products. Tastes often change based on what the land offers us. I don't think I've ever tasted better ice cream! 🍦🍧🍨😁

26/01/2025: On an atypical day in January we even had the opportunity to have lunch outside. Everything is delicious and everything is also gluten-free because I have celiac disease. We ordered the crostoni with cuttlefish and porcini mushrooms as an appetizer and a soutè of mussels (huge) followed by tagliolini with clams and paccheri, anchovies, cod and yellow cherry tomatoes. To conclude, two panna cottas with their wild orange jam. Worth mentioning are the very kind restaurateurs. We'll be back!

02/01/2025: Abbiamo scoperto questo meraviglioso ristorante consultando la guida Michelin, cercavamo un posto intimo, raffinato e con un'ottima cucina per poter trascorrere la cena di capodanno. Così è stato, abbiamo trascorso una serata veramente piacevole sotto ogni punto di vista, locale intimo e molto accogliente, personale gentile, molta cura nei dettagli sia nell' ambiente che nei piatti. Cucina creativa e di alta qualità, panificazione eccellente, dall'entrèe al dolce tutto veramente eccezionale, piatti di carattere e gustosi. La nostra cena è stata servita con abbinamenti di bollicine e vini veramente ottimi. Qualità prezzo assolutamente adeguato. Il luogo ideale per chi cerca un'esperienza culinaria di alto livello. Che si tratti di una cena romantica, un pranzo d'affari o una celebrazione speciale, questo ristorante saprà conquistare ogni ospite con la sua eccellenza. Consigliatissimo!

The choice is really wide, the place, or if you prefer the location, are fantastic. No problem parking. The simplicity between land and sea. PS only one flaw, it is not open all year.

19/01/2025: Che dire, una conferma, ci siamo sempre trovati bene qui, Marco il titolare mette sempre a proprio agio il cliente, la ragazza che ci ha serviti, gentilissima, professionale e veloce, i piatti sono arrivati dopo poco averli ordinati ed erano impeccabili, merito dei cuochi e di tutto lo staff in cucina che evidentemente è molto competente: si vede e si sente che non sono pre cotti, ecc ma sono fatti sul momento con delle materie prime di qualità e cucinati molto bene! 14/01/2025: Delightful place but absolutely easy-going and, above all, QUIET. We had dinner in September, for some reason this review had not been published: the food (as you can see from the photos) is of excellent quality and well explained by the staff, at fair prices. Dogs are welcome. In the end, we stopped to chat with the owner, complimenting the atmosphere since, after I don't know how long, we finally managed to spend an evening in which it was possible to chat without too loud music playing in the background. I don't know if it's a regular thing or if it was just a choice for that evening, but a beautiful playlist of classical music was playing 😊 We will definitely be back!

Ogni volta è un’esperienza unica: ti senti coccolato, dolcemente accolto e rilassato, grazie all’attenta cura della sala. Il cibo particolare ma adatto a tutti i gusti, attento, presentato in modo ottimo e con dei sapori che ti fanno sciogliere. Tempi della cena perfetti per godersi un buon vino tra un piatto e l’altro. Porzioni perfette. Il luogo è da sogno, sembra di passare la serata in un’altro mondo. Stacchi la testa e ti vivi questa stupenda cena.

20/11/2024: Sono stata più volte per una cena sul presto in questo chiosco con vista mare e con il tempo abbiamo assaggiato gran parte dei piatti presenti e quasi tutti ci hanno lasciato soddisfattissimi. Molto buono il vino rosato, che si abbina bene ai piatti offerti. Il personale è gentile, soprattutto la signora che solitamente è alla cassa. Le recensioni negative che ho letto sono abbastanza ridicole e mi fanno pensare che ci sia gente che va ad un chiosco pensando di trovare la scelta o il servizio di un ristorante, pagando però meno che al ristorante. Se non hai pretese assurde questo posto va benissimo per una cena informale o per un aperitivo.

02/01/2025: We ate at this place a while ago. Nothing to say about the quality of the food, it's excellent. But the service is non-existent, terrible is an understatement. More than an hour of waiting to take the order without even a piece of bread, at least bring appetizers so people wait more willingly. The place is small inside and there is a veranda outside. In the cold the waiters insisted on keeping the door open. I understand that it is convenient for them to take the dishes out onto the veranda but people had to stay dressed and there were also elderly people. Change the waiters or hire more staff, or at least a more experienced one who knows how to organize the work, it doesn't take much. This way you lose customers, at least us for sure

15/12/2024: Osteria Mangiafoco is very popular among locals. There are always a lot of people here. People come for lunch and dinner with families and large companies. Therefore, you need to book a table in advance. For lunch we ordered: two portions of lobster pasta. Dry white wine. Dessert with cottage cheese. Good. The last dessert, whipped cream with black cherries, proved less effective. The menu features almost everything that floats in the sea. Quick preparation and service. Generous and delicious portions. 08/02/2025: Locale delizioso con vista mozzafiato sullo splendido golfo di Baratti che ,in una giornata di pioggia come oggi, offre davvero uno spettacolo suggestivo. Piatti abbondanti, belli da vedere e soprattutto buoni. Ottimo il baccalà al tartufo in cui due prodotti del tutto diversi si uniscono in un mix prelibato di sapori. Personale attento al cliente e cortese. Davvero da provare.
