Ristorante Il Tarlo In Piombino

A very cute and intimate little restaurant in Riotorto. In the summer, you can eat outside under a pergola. Very quiet. The food is excellent and unique. We loved it.

A lovely restaurant in a quiet location. Parking was excellent. The outdoor seating area with its view of the countryside was very nice. The staff were friendly despite our language barrier. The menu selection was manageable. We ordered pizza, which was excellent. Our only criticism is that they didn't pay attention to our children. It would have been great to have something for them to color while we waited, and since our children shared the pizza, it would have been thoughtful of the server to bring us an empty plate without having to ask. A real shame.

We tried this restaurant recommended by the agriturismo where we were staying. I should point out that I'm celiac and had called the restaurant two days before to ask for information and possibly make a reservation. So I called on Monday and a very kind man answered. Responding to my request, he told me they had gluten-free options for both meat and fish, and even their own pizza. Full of anticipation, I decided to book. That evening, we arrived and the table hadn't been marked, let alone the fact that I was celiac! But no big deal until then; they sat us down. I opened the menu with a QR code and saw that I could only have two appetizers, no first courses, and ONLY two meat-based second courses. I asked the waitress for information, and she shrugged and told me that was the offer, that they had gluten-free pasta that I could make with one of the sauces available, and that was it. I chose those famous two appetizers and that was it. On the plus side, they were definitely very good! It's a shame about the lack of attention...

I tried this restaurant by chance during a business trip, and it was a pleasant surprise. The menu consists of a few interesting dishes, and a good variety of red and white pizzas. The interior is small, with just a few tables, but quaint. The quality is good, and the service is courteous and fast. The quality/price ratio is fair.

5 stars, you know, not just for the sake of it, but honestly you deserve them because we ate very well and some new things... The service was very very professional and everyone was nice... I ate the anchovies which were really very good but above all I ate the cacciucco tortelli with the prawn tartar on top, my goodness my mouth is still watering, congratulations 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 but also the rest, the Cinta sauce was very good, the fried food etc... WE WILL DEFINITELY RETURN ✌🏻😜

Maremma beef with ragù sauce is top-notch! Recommended.

All good, but unfortunately when we left, our clothes were soaked in a strong cooking smell. Disgusting!

I can't say enough about everything. It's a must-visit every time I come to Riotorto. The food is so good that you have to come back again and again to try every dish; they're all exceptional. The staff is always kind and welcoming, as well as knowledgeable. The location is very intimate and truly pleasant. I don't usually leave reviews very often, but this one needed an exception.

Super satisfied, must try the cappelletti! We'll be back!
