Taverna Etrusca In Sorano

On a motorcycle tour with two friends on Sunday, April 19th, we traveled to Sovana, seeking some tranquility away from the daily chaos of Rome. In this wonderful setting, we ate at Taverna Etrusca, a lovely restaurant in the center of the village that offers refined dishes showcasing local, seasonal produce. We chose to eat at the tables facing the entrance, right under the clock tower, in a totally relaxing atmosphere. Kudos to Chef Simone, whose exquisite cuisine contributed to our delightful moments of "good taste."

Finally! For lunch today we rediscovered the flavors we love!!!! Simone, the chef, is a sure thing. The restaurant, one of a kind, offers a very pleasant atmosphere with welcoming and kind staff. It also features a temperature-controlled cellar stocked with a wide variety of wines. Recommended, we'll be back very soon.

We spent December 30th and 31st, 2025, in this peaceful, enchanting place, enjoying peace and tranquility. We found the hotel room comfortable and spotlessly clean, overlooking the small square where the chimes of the clock bell marked the hours and transported us back to another era. The restaurant was welcoming and clean, with exceptionally polite and kind staff. Chef Simone, who oversaw the dinner on December 31st, treated us to delicious dishes accompanied by a fine Pitigliano DOC white wine.
