21/12/2025: What a magnificent refuge! Nestled in the middle of the Corvara ski slopes, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Dolomites while savoring excellently prepared and delicious dishes. The service is quick, efficient, and very friendly, making you feel at home. I recommend the desserts, which are truly special. Thank you, Michela and all the staff. We'll be back.

09/12/2025: The best eggs, spelt, and potatoes in the Dolomites! I've eaten them everywhere, even at the mountain hut famous for this dish, and there's no comparison; these are hands-down winners. The tagliatelle with Bolognese ragù and the ones with venison ragù are delicious. Top! We'll be back.

06/12/2025: Highly recommended! We've been coming back to the Larmhof for several years now and always enjoy eating there. It's an absolute must for us! The owners and staff are incredibly friendly, fun, and clearly love what they do. The food is outstanding. Everything is homemade and freshly prepared. From barley soup and Schluzkrapfen (filled pasta), to a mixed meat platter, bacon, cheese, chestnuts, and sweet desserts. Very generous portions and absolutely delicious! It doesn't get more South Tyrolean than this! The atmosphere is cozy and rustic. The price is absolutely justified and totally reasonable!! We're already looking forward to next year! 05/02/2026: We ate here three times during our week-long vacation. All the dishes were excellent (tagliata, pasta with venison ragout, spare ribs, etc.). The service was very attentive and friendly. We especially appreciated the chef's flexibility regarding specially prepared vegan dishes. The "ravioli with celery and mushroom filling" was also a big hit with the non-vegans.

05/02/2026: Delicious food. Finger-licking ribs, delicious lasagna, authentic Italian style, and excellent pizza. The house wine was excellent. Great service, great atmosphere. Luckily, they don't charge extra. I highly recommend it, and we're going again today.

17/03/2026: Convenient (but also expensive at 21 euros each way) to reach the summit of the mountain and go on beautiful treks.

17/03/2026: A funicular that you can take to the top of Resciesa Plateau. There are a couple of huts on top for you to get something to eat or drink as well as a restaurant right next to the funicular. Itcis 2402m long with a rise of 818m with a 25% grade. Open from 9am until 5pm in the winter months. Cost 32 euros for a round trip. Good views of Odie group, Sassolungo, Sella group, marmolada and Sciliar.

24/02/2026: I entered, drawn by the smell. I bought a poppy seed cake that was beautiful to look at, soft and well-balanced. The shop is small but well-stocked with both sweet and savory items.

23/02/2026: During a recent stay in Brunico, I purchased some products from this bakery... very good Cineamonrolls and brioches. The sales assistant was very cold: I found it unhygienic that she handled the food without gloves or tongs, and then the money. Prices were quite high.

We actually wanted to stay overnight, but the cabin was already fully booked when we tried to book in March, so you should book quickly if you want to stay here. We had a hot chocolate and a slice of cake, and it was very good. The staff was very friendly, and the view was great!

07/04/2026: Beautiful refuge, a little expensive

31/03/2026: I arrived at the refuge on the way between the Sella Pass and the Pertini refuge. A beautiful location, beyond the now-famous bomboloni, it's a lovely restaurant overlooking the valley. If you arrive early enough, you can enjoy a lovely breakfast on the terrace in the company of yaks and marmots! The interior is very well-kept, quaint, and clean!

26/09/2025: Very delicious food, we were there just yesterday evening (it was my birthday 😉). The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The ambiance is also visually beautiful.

27/10/2025: Every visit to the funny crocodile is an experience! The atmosphere alone is special. Peter's service is personal and makes you feel right at home. The menu is small but delicious, and Stefan cooks the best lasagna ever (but he's not the only one ☺️). A must-visit on any holiday in Kaltern!

15/10/2025: During our vacation in South Tyrol, we found this small restaurant on Goldgasse in Kaltern. We were very pleasantly surprised by the food: tortellini filled with porcini mushrooms and truffle foam, and very well-filled herb pasta. We sat across from the restaurant in a small garden with only five tables. It was incredibly cozy and elegantly set, and the weather was perfect on October 15th. A dream, with very friendly service. Thank you, it was a very nice lunch.
