Very spacious interior.
Cooking smell in the dining room: could be improved.
The chanterelle ravioli are good, although they should warn you about the garlic for those with allergies or intolerances.
The onion entrecote is very good.
The wines, from the St. Paul winery, are fantastic.

The menu is rich in traditional dishes and offers a good selection. The dishes are beautiful, tasty, and very generous!
The wine list is interesting, focusing on local grape varieties and producers. Prices are average.

10/05/2026: As locals, we're big fans of this restaurant. Saskia's is a family business run by a mother, daughter, and son, and it's very well and warmly managed. The restaurant is refreshingly free of any unnecessary touristy frills that only serve to inflate prices. The food has been consistently excellent for years, and they offer not only pizza but also a wide selection of other dishes. The tiramisu is legendary, and I highly recommend it to everyone. We love Saskia's.

The journey is via a winding road that climbs high into the mountain. This drive is rewarded with warm hospitality, excellent cuisine, and breathtaking panoramic views. Excellent value for money. There's also a terrace. Guests have access to a pool and a large sunbathing lawn. Dogs are welcome. Highly recommended!
13/06/2026: From June 2nd to 6th of this year, we spent a fantastic holiday with our family at your inn! Incredibly delicious food, an extremely hospitable family and staff, and of course, a breathtaking setting made our stay unforgettable! 🤗🫶

26/08/2026: At Pizzeria Fornella, we had a good pizza, not just in terms of taste, which was truly delicious, but also in terms of digestibility, which is probably the true proof of a good pizza. The service was very fast and brisk, given the large number of customers. But that doesn't mean they aren't courteous and attentive to requests.
In Alta Val Badia, in my opinion, it's the best pizza I've ever had.
26/08/2026: Very tasty food, especially the spaghetti carbonara. Excellent! Friendly staff, you get your order in a very short time. If you dine outside, you can also admire the beautiful mountains around you. During the season, reservations are recommended.

27/10/2025: Every visit to the funny crocodile is an experience! The atmosphere alone is special. Peter's service is personal and makes you feel right at home.
The menu is small but delicious, and Stefan cooks the best lasagna ever (but he's not the only one ☺️). A must-visit on any holiday in Kaltern!
15/10/2025: During our vacation in South Tyrol, we found this small restaurant on Goldgasse in Kaltern. We were very pleasantly surprised by the food: tortellini filled with porcini mushrooms and truffle foam, and very well-filled herb pasta. We sat across from the restaurant in a small garden with only five tables. It was incredibly cozy and elegantly set, and the weather was perfect on October 15th. A dream, with very friendly service.
Thank you, it was a very nice lunch.
