08/10/2025: We stopped by spontaneously on a hike and were greeted very warmly on the sunny terrace. Very good/excellent service, a very nice and varied menu. What came to our table was absolutely delicious. The location with the fantastic view is the icing on the cake. What we saw of the hotel makes us want more; we will definitely be back, probably as hotel guests next fall.

05/10/2025: The menu is very small; it's not published on their website. It has many dishes with entrails. At night, the road to the restaurant is very dangerous because it's very small and unlit.

03/10/2025: We spent a wonderful evening at the Umser Mühlele. The ambiance is truly wonderful, and the service was super friendly. We had three courses, and everything was excellently prepared and presented. The quality is evident in every dish. We felt completely at home and will definitely be back. Card payments are no problem.

27/10/2025: Every visit to the funny crocodile is an experience! The atmosphere alone is special. Peter's service is personal and makes you feel right at home. The menu is small but delicious, and Stefan cooks the best lasagna ever (but he's not the only one ☺️). A must-visit on any holiday in Kaltern!

15/10/2025: During our vacation in South Tyrol, we found this small restaurant on Goldgasse in Kaltern. We were very pleasantly surprised by the food: tortellini filled with porcini mushrooms and truffle foam, and very well-filled herb pasta. We sat across from the restaurant in a small garden with only five tables. It was incredibly cozy and elegantly set, and the weather was perfect on October 15th. A dream, with very friendly service. Thank you, it was a very nice lunch.

23/10/2025: The dumplings in broth could definitely be improved (the dumplings were too soft, the broth was rather bland); the grilled carne salada with beans was decent, and the mixed grilled vegetables were average. The service was prompt, and the bill was overall fair.

03/10/2025: We ate at Bachler twice during our stay and were impressed by the quality and service. There's something for everyone on the menu. The daily specials are very good. Friendly, attentive, but never intrusive service. Their own pizza chef prepares pizzas at the oven. Truly a top recommendation.

03/10/2025: We were really looking forward to a good pizza and were unfortunately disappointed. The pizza in the photo is my own homemade pizza. I'm used to pizzas from South Tyrol that are completely different. The dough was very light, didn't bubble, and had zero flavor, as is appropriate for a dough made with, for example, Caputo flour. It tasted more like a crispy pie crust. Despite the wood-fired oven, it wasn't a truly good pizza. I can't recommend it. The atmosphere was okay, and the enterprising waiter was very nice. This is what my pizzas at home look like, and they're not from a wood-fired oven.

01/08/2025: The restaurant is very large with several rooms. We were there for dinner, and I'd recommend making a reservation! The staff is very friendly. The menu is varied and truly excellent, with prices in line with the Val Badia norm! For risotto lovers, you must try the one with mountain pine, a delight. For beef lovers...the fillet is truly buttery! The desserts? Delicious! The portions are generous!

29/07/2025: We spent a week here cycling and hiking. The family and staff are very friendly, the food is fantastic, and the price is good. In our opinion, Ustaria Posta is the perfect base for exploring the Dolomites. Don't forget to ask Igor for some great tips; he certainly didn't disappoint!

10/09/2025: I would have liked to give it my all. The place is wonderful, with a beautiful view outside, even more so in the rain. The first courses were excellent, the potato tortei were good, but not the best I've ever eaten. The tagliatelle with mushrooms were good, but I personally have a problem with cream in pasta with mushrooms, especially when the mushrooms are of excellent quality like those they offer here. Another sore point is that the quality of the pasta was excellent, but it's not made by them. Their ice cream is superb, as are the homemade liqueurs that you can taste at the end of the meal. I recommend the strangolapreti accompanied by a good Teroldego red. I highly recommend this place, and I'd gladly return. The staff are very welcoming and kind. My compliments for everything.

07/09/2025: Beautiful chalet in the middle of the meadows and close to the ski slopes, we ate very well and the service was very welcoming.

02/10/2025: I just arrived, but I'm leaving the 5 stars straight away, even though I still have to have breakfast tomorrow. 😅 The property is truly splendid in every way (from the exterior to the lobby, to the lounges with sofas, to the rooms with fantastic bathrooms, etc.), and the staff is super welcoming. They even left deluxe bowls for my dogs in my room. 🤣🤣🤣 I was able to have coffee at the bar in the afternoon, along with an excellent Sacher torte and even freshly whipped cream made with milk from the Vipiteno dairy (and it was really good 😁). I also found the prices to be affordable. In short, it makes you want to extend your stay when, unfortunately, you're just passing through and so many other places should just follow this example... I will 100% return! 😎❤️ Edit: 18-star breakfast 😁

25/10/2025: This café is a little discovery that instantly puts you in a good mood. The coffee is truly delicious, intense, and well-crafted, and the selection of pastries and desserts is extensive and carefully curated, always fresh and tasty. Even for a quick break or an aperitif, you can always find something delicious to accompany a carefully prepared drink. The only drawback is the slightly high prices. The atmosphere is modern yet welcoming, always clean and pleasant to live in. The staff knows how to create a family atmosphere, welcoming each customer with kindness and a genuine smile. It's one of those places that easily becomes a daily habit, combining quality, friendliness, and a great atmosphere.

18/10/2025: Unfortunately, very unfriendly. 1st question: Food? Drinks? Yes, we'd like to eat. Seat over there. Other people only wanted drinks and were sent away.

14/09/2025: A great hotel recommended to us by locals. We were traveling with our motorcycles and were able to park them safely in the underground garage. The owners speak German and were very friendly and personable. The rooms are in excellent condition and very comfortably furnished. The view from the hotel is beautiful. Even though we arrived late, we still got a delicious dinner. The breakfast was very good.

Everything about our stay was very good. 4.5 stars across the board - cleanliness / condition of the hotel and facilities, comfort of the bed, breakfast and dinner foods, service. I’m rating Stua Catores 5 stars, though, because of the value. For what you pay I think you get outstanding value / quality. Strong recommendation to any future travelers reading this review. You won’t regret it.
