16/09/2025: I was in Canazei today and we were going to stop here for two sandwiches. Since I'm a vegetarian, I kindly asked for the sandwich with sweet peppers but WITHOUT the meat, anticipating that I would pay for it anyway as if it had included meat. It seemed fair to me. To my request, I received a response, "Sorry, we don't make vegetarian sandwiches because we work with meat. It doesn't fit with our work ethic." Aside from the total lack of empathy... but in 2025, open your minds a little because these positions are truly ridiculous.

16/09/2025: A real surprise! A chip shop in the Dolomites!! I wouldn't have expected a very good currywurst with crispy fries and mayonnaise in the Dolomites! For €9, you can sometimes get worse in Germany!

10/09/2025: We went to this mountain hut for lunch yesterday with our puppy. The atmosphere is beautiful and welcoming, the staff is very kind, and last but not least, the food is excellent!

29/09/2025: We stumbled upon a place that immediately won us over. We ate homemade tagliolini with porcini mushrooms, but the real surprise came with the strudel: definitely the best I've ever tasted.

Solo perché il primo scelto alla fine era buono (anche se, a dirla tutta, il menù prevedeva poche specialità locali ed elaborazioni discutibili, oppure piatti non tipici, come i miei strozzapreti, che sono trentini...). Su tutto il resto stendiamo un velo pietoso perché è evidente che la gestione del locale è in mano a personale totalmente inadeguato, incapace di gestire i picchi e a rapportarsi con la clientela in modo cortese e professionale. Prima di tutto: il tavolo me lo sono creato da solo, spostando barili e sedie. Dopodiché, anziché ringraziarmi, il caposala ha pensato bene di farmi ordinare e ammonirmi di non scappare senza pagare perché ci sono le telecamere a sorvegliare. Ma io mi chiedo: ma che modi sono? Additarmi come un ladro così, gratuitamente? Vergogna! Quantomeno, avrei gradito un servizio impeccabile, e invece in una giornata da tutto esaurito, il personale era ai minimi storici, un'ora per un primo piatto e, a mia domanda su che fine avesse fatto (stavano mangiando tutti i tavoli che avevano ordinato dopo di me che ero da solo, primi piatti compresi), la prima risposta è stata "no non puoi chiedere", la seconda è stata "se hai ordinato arriva", e solo la terza volta magicamente è comparso il piatto. Ho quindi evitato il dolce e pensavo di bere un caffè al banco. Cosa invece non possibile e quindi l'ho dovuto ordinare. Stessa scena. A quel punto, avendo già pagato con l'ordine, sono entrato io al banco a ritirarlo in autonomia: era sul bancone che aspettava da chissà quanto. Che vergogna. E soprattutto, che imbarazzo: la Badia non ha bisogno di locali del genere, che si fregiano di essere rifugi storici e invece farebbero meglio a cedere il passo ad altri!

05/04/2025: 5/5! Good view, affordable and very tasty food. Highlight was their homemade tiramisu. Friendly staff and music on a good level.

30/09/2025: We had a wonderful meal here! Both the starter and main course were delicious and the portions were good/large. We didn't have room for dessert! There were also plenty of vegetarian options, which isn't available everywhere in the area. I was really craving the dumplings and could choose spinach or beetroot instead of bacon. Great service!

16/11/2025: We went there on a recommendation during our autumn holiday and didn't enjoy it very much. We had to wait a while because it was very crowded – if you haven't made a reservation like we did, that's fine, but we didn't feel welcome and nobody paid any attention to us. Once we were seated, the service was okay. Junior was happy with his shepherd's macaroni, which was more like Bolognese pasta, but we adults found the food rather average. In short: You can eat better in Schenna.

09/11/2025: A typical restaurant located at the bottom of the valley. The food is good, but the prices are a bit high, especially considering the service.

19/10/2025: We had a Törggelen experience here. Simply fantastic! Fantastic service and first-class food. They even offered seconds. Törggelen at its finest. The journey to the Ratschings valley station is great – after that, the road becomes single-lane, but still easily passable. We'd love to come back!!!

29/09/2025: We had a wonderful week at the Waldhof². Excellent service, a very nice wellness area. The fitness area could be more modern. The food was delicious, and the breakfast buffet was excellent.

22/10/2025: We went there for dinner; the food was delicious and regional. The apple juice was freshly squeezed, and the menu was seasonally updated. The service was very attentive and friendly. The restaurant was decorated like a proper pub, and accordingly, many locals enjoyed their after-work hours there.

19/09/2025: We stayed at the Schloss Hotel Korb for our honeymoon. We had indicated in writing in advance that we would like to spend it there. Unfortunately, nothing had been arranged. At breakfast, we discovered that other tables had been specially decorated. The situation was, of course, extremely unfortunate. What was really good: - Breakfast/dinner and the service (a very friendly, "on-the-ball" waiter) - The meal was really enjoyable - The main building, as well as the restaurant, are really chic and beautifully decorated What was unfortunately disappointing: - Both outdoor pools were in very poor condition (severe discoloration, peeling film, etc.) - The room is no longer of an acceptable standard (considering the hotel's classification and the price). Baseboards were broken, the curtains had stains, etc., and the furnishings seemed mismatched. - Information (general hotel information) about the hotel and the surrounding area was virtually nonexistent. Overall, I have to say that some of the recent reviews quite rightly emphasize the condition of the rooms and the outdoor area. It's a real shame, because the hotel has real potential. And we can't really recommend it. Nevertheless, the friendly receptionist was helpful at the end of our stay, which we really appreciated. Thank you again!

18/09/2025: Just a stroll, not a visit to the hotel. But it's a classic car meeting place. There were a few treasures and a new McLaren in the garage.

28/08/2025: I haven't had such delicious apple strudel in a long time. Everything is freshly baked! Fair prices! Highly recommended!

12/06/2025: A lovely, down-to-earth farm tavern, very well-kept, with excellent food and friendly hosts. See you again in the fall.

07/09/2025: We arrived after a long hike from Passo Nigra. The scenery is breathtaking. There are also games for children and the food is excellent. The only downside is the wait. There were three of us: two adults and a little girl. Our dishes arrived, and we had time to finish ours before the three-year-old's dish arrived. Otherwise, it was a spectacle.

04/09/2025: A must-see at this mountain hut because the food is excellent. The desserts are also delicious. All this with a view of the splendid peaks. You can also buy their homemade cheese.
