20/08/2025: After exploring the Peace Trail to discover the sites of the First World War, we went (I read the reviews first) to Trattoria Alla Cascata. The very kind lady sat us at the table we wanted. We went outside where, if you leaned over, you could see the waterfall and the small lake forming... I recommend bringing a swimsuit if you want to dive in (and suitable closed-toe shoes, since there are rocks on the bottom). The two of us had a mixed appetizer, two first courses, and two desserts. I had tagliatelle with mushrooms, and my partner had a zucchini, provola, and pancetta flan (if I remember correctly). The tagliatelle were spectacular! The best I've ever tasted!!! I gave the service a 4 because from the moment we sat down, we waited 5 minutes or more to order water and wine (there were only us at the time). Then we had 2 side dishes (mixed salad and ratatouille) and 2 desserts, baked strucchi and a slice of homemade jam tart. I have to be honest... It wasn't the best because it was a little "burnt" and had a slightly bitter taste, although I have to say it was perfectly acceptable because the rest of the food was very good. That's why I gave the food 4 stars... Anyway, I absolutely recommend this place, and as for the tart, it can sometimes be a bit off. Overall, there's nothing to complain about. And if you have the sound of the waterfall in the background while you're eating... What more can I say?

15/08/2025: On the road to Tolmin, Slovenia. Family-run. Rooms also available. Excellent food, courteous, and very friendly service. Right by the waterfall. Very quiet and welcoming. A pleasant stop for a delicious culinary experience. We hope to return.

26/09/2025: I had the pork shank, which was very good, but the real revelation was the polenta, something special. Even without any particular additions of other ingredients. It's a shame they don't pair it with sausage. (I had eaten that way a while ago in Pila "Aosta," and it stayed with me.) The price controls were super kind, no wait even though I hadn't booked, maybe luck.

13/07/2025: I considered it one of the best pizzerias in town... last night, out of five, four of us had a Sicilian pizza, recommended by the staff as one of the best... As a result, all four of us had gastrointestinal problems. Coincidentally, only the one who ate the pizza (which was decent compared to before) was "saved." What a disappointment...!

05/07/2025: Nice place open until late at night where they serve not only pizzas but also dishes. Good pizza but average. Crazy prices on desserts. The millefoglie is described as transcendental but it turns out to be a normal dessert. Overall low quality/price ratio.

29/09/2025: We had a wonderful week at the Waldhof². Excellent service, a very nice wellness area. The fitness area could be more modern. The food was delicious, and the breakfast buffet was excellent.

26/09/2025: We had the pleasure of receiving a room package for New Year's Eve last year at very short notice, and had never stayed at the Waldhof before. We can honestly say that it was an absolute stroke of luck. We were completely satisfied, and several things stand out in particular: First, the truly fabulous cuisine, which leaves nothing to be desired. Not only did the very extensive breakfast buffet make us look forward to it every morning, but above all, the evening menus were truly top-notch. Based on our experience, we can confidently say that both the cuisine and the wine selection are of a Michelin-star standard. Secondly, we must mention the truly excellent and attentive service in all areas of the hotel. From the reception to the housekeeping service, the spa staff, and of course the catering staff, everyone had a trained eye and an open ear for our needs and wishes. Compliments to the staff! Furthermore, but not least, we were deeply impressed by the attention to detail. The care with which each guest is treated individually is hard to beat. We felt very well looked after, both professionally and personally. We will be returning to the Waldhof again this year for New Year's Eve and can hardly wait.

19/09/2025: We stayed at the Schloss Hotel Korb for our honeymoon. We had indicated in writing in advance that we would like to spend it there. Unfortunately, nothing had been arranged. At breakfast, we discovered that other tables had been specially decorated. The situation was, of course, extremely unfortunate. What was really good: - Breakfast/dinner and the service (a very friendly, "on-the-ball" waiter) - The meal was really enjoyable - The main building, as well as the restaurant, are really chic and beautifully decorated What was unfortunately disappointing: - Both outdoor pools were in very poor condition (severe discoloration, peeling film, etc.) - The room is no longer of an acceptable standard (considering the hotel's classification and the price). Baseboards were broken, the curtains had stains, etc., and the furnishings seemed mismatched. - Information (general hotel information) about the hotel and the surrounding area was virtually nonexistent. Overall, I have to say that some of the recent reviews quite rightly emphasize the condition of the rooms and the outdoor area. It's a real shame, because the hotel has real potential. And we can't really recommend it. Nevertheless, the friendly receptionist was helpful at the end of our stay, which we really appreciated. Thank you again!

18/09/2025: Just a stroll, not a visit to the hotel. But it's a classic car meeting place. There were a few treasures and a new McLaren in the garage.

06/09/2025: Excellent restaurant and pub in a perfect location. The menu offers a wide selection of pizza, sandwiches, and German dishes, all well-prepared and well-seasoned, at reasonable prices. Service is quick, despite the restaurant being always busy. Highly recommended.

07/09/2025: We arrived after a long hike from Passo Nigra. The view is breathtaking. There are also games for children and the food is excellent. The only downside is the wait. There were three of us: two adults and a little girl. Our dishes arrived, and we had time to finish ours before the three-year-old's dish arrived. Otherwise, it was a spectacle.

04/09/2025: A must-see at this mountain hut because the food is excellent. The desserts are also delicious. All this with a view of the splendid peaks. You can also buy their homemade cheese.

07/08/2025: Bavarian-style cuisine. You can try both sandwiches and main courses. A wide selection of beers. There are also many desserts. The prices are not low. The place is furnished with great care and attention to detail. I'm giving it 3 stars only because, for personal taste, I didn't like the food.
