22/02/2026: Magnificent climb and excellent toboggan run. The route to the cabin and the ascent to the cross is a must. Descent via the chapel and a short break to admire the Dolomites. A must-do hike!

24/02/2026: I entered, drawn by the smell. I bought a poppy seed cake that was beautiful to look at, soft and well-balanced. The shop is small but well-stocked with both sweet and savory items.

23/02/2026: During a recent stay in Brunico, I purchased some products from this bakery... very good Cineamonrolls and brioches. The sales assistant was very cold: I found it unhygienic that she handled the food without gloves or tongs, and then the money. Prices were quite high.

08/03/2026: We stopped for lunch. The staff were friendly and the place was welcoming. The dishes were excellent and plentiful. The venison and rabbit were good, as were the strudels.

13/03/2026: Eaten there for lunch a few times on skiing the Sellaronda, a great place to stop at, very busy, but we always found a table. Food is super, if you go for pizzas wait times are up to an hour long. This time round (mid Feb 2026) they also had tables with pit fire in the middle, had an exquisite (though very expensive) tomahawk steak, it was worth every penny! The waiters were all super friendly and efficient.

28/02/2026: For me, a pub-brewery must have a good selection of beers on tap, bottled beers, but above all people who know what they're talking about and can give you advice. Here at the birratrovo, I find all of this. They also let you taste the beers if you're not familiar with them, and you can also buy them.

04/11/2025: The Büllejoch Hut is located at approximately 2,500 meters above sea level. Beautifully nestled among the Oberbachern peaks. The Tre Cime di Lavaredo (Three Peaks) are no longer visible from here, but in about 1.5 hours you can hike along the base of the Paternkofel, past the Dreizinnenhütte (Three Peaks Hut), and enjoy the view. It's rarely quiet here. The trail from the Fischlein Valley comes via the Zigsmondi Hut, where you can see the impressive sundial (consisting of several peaks that are perfectly aligned with the sun at specific times). You can stay overnight at the hut; we only stopped briefly for drinks and to use the restroom. The people there are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. My wife had a headache, and the hut owner explained the best routes down to me. The dining room is very small inside; on cold days, you have to be lucky to get in. I can't say anything about the rooms, as we didn't stay overnight, so I'll just give it five points overall; what's there to complain about with dormitory-style accommodation?

The Bavarian spirit is evident in the (top-quality) dishes, the decor, and the atmosphere, and the Neumann family welcomes you with great courtesy, helpfulness, and cheerfulness. Their social media profiles are also particularly successful, with lively yet informative posts about Bavarian cuisine and traditions (I recommend Instagram). Happy beer and pretzels to everyone!

19/02/2026: The food was really good. I got the pizza margherita , they were really quick to serve me and I went on carnival day so the atmosphere was really fun and they gave us some carnival hats too.Oh and they don’t accept reservations which is really fun because after one minute you are already a table so they sit you quickly.

17/02/2026: During our 7 nights stay, out of 7 lunch occasions, we went back there 5 times. We liked this place more than 2 other upper grade restaurants in the same town and in the neighboring town. Relaxing atmosphere, good service and good food. We tried this and that between two of us but we can still go back to find more. A note, the disposal luncheon mat has puzzles to find answers. We found all the answers except the last one. I ended up asking for the last answer on the last day and I confirm that the proper answer was there despite my doubt. My wife is still trying to find it on the mat she took home. You need a very sharp eye.

28/01/2026: We had a wonderful stay at the Naturhotel Saalerwirt for skiing. Transportation to Kronplatz is easily arranged and very convenient with prior booking. Breakfast and dinner were excellent – ​​high-quality, varied, and prepared with great care. We were particularly impressed by the sauna and spa area: exceptionally beautiful, peaceful, and designed with meticulous attention to detail. Perfect for relaxing after a day on the slopes. We would love to come back again!

27/10/2025: Every visit to the funny crocodile is an experience! The atmosphere alone is special. Peter's service is personal and makes you feel right at home. The menu is small but delicious, and Stefan cooks the best lasagna ever (but he's not the only one ☺️). A must-visit on any holiday in Kaltern!

15/10/2025: During our vacation in South Tyrol, we found this small restaurant on Goldgasse in Kaltern. We were very pleasantly surprised by the food: tortellini filled with porcini mushrooms and truffle foam, and very well-filled herb pasta. We sat across from the restaurant in a small garden with only five tables. It was incredibly cozy and elegantly set, and the weather was perfect on October 15th. A dream, with very friendly service. Thank you, it was a very nice lunch.

20/12/2025: Excellent dinner: at the owner's suggestion, we chose dishes off the menu. High-quality dishes prepared with care and attention, original flavors, and perfect pairings, in a very friendly and pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend it; it's also ideal for large families and business dinners given the spacious rooms.

04/12/2025: When looking for a restaurant, I also make sure it's not in the middle of the crowds, and this one, isolated in the middle of the Friuli plain, is ideal. What's more, the food is good, with some traditional Bavarian dishes, thanks to the kind owner, who is of German origin. As soon as I return to this area, I'll happily stop by again.
