13/09/2025: Food is not good. Overpriced and bad service

11/09/2025: I had the worst experience of my life at this "restaurant," if you can call it that. We ordered a plate of scallops and a roast. Well, we were served identical grilled meat for both the roast and the scallops, and they told us that's how they cooked their roast. The meat was inedible, the prices were incredibly high! I don't understand how a place like this is still open.

11/11/2025: My husband and I had lunch at this restaurant in Erice one late autumn afternoon. The place itself is very pleasant, the service is typically Italian, fun and talkative, and the Trapanese pizza has been my favorite ever since. Sicily is much more than stereotypes and was worth every penny. At the end we ordered a short coffee and even got a lesson on how to make real coffee. I definitely recommend it.

30/08/2025: Shameful experience – worth reporting We dined at Ristorante Pizzeria La Lampara for Ferragosto (9 people, including a child) and never expected such disorganization, poor quality, and above all, lack of hygiene. Disappointing first courses: the orecchiette with ragù was simply pasta with raw sauce and raw olive oil. The orecchiette with mussels, clams, scampi, and cherry tomatoes didn't even contain clams. Disgraceful second courses: instead of the "steak," they received two fragmented bones, pure waste. When I pointed this out, the response was that the steaks were sold out. Unacceptable for a €55 menu. Furthermore, we also found a hair in the fish main course (photo attached). Zero hygiene: the presence of hair on the plates is not only disrespectful to customers, but a serious health risk, worthy of intervention by the NAS. Poor appetizers: mozzarella as hard as chewing gum and a small square of omelette that looked freshly defrosted. Anonymous desserts and sorbets, absolutely not up to par. In total, we spent €55 each for a disgraceful menu with obvious health and hygiene risks. A terrible experience, never again. Honestly, given the severity of the situation, it would deserve a health inspection.

27/08/2025: I happened upon it by chance (without reading any reviews) for a quick lunch and had to send back two salads full of small animals, which unfortunately indicates poor hygiene, a very serious issue for a restaurant business. Only one young waiter apologized for the inconvenience. Failed for everything.

18/11/2025: Delicious food and very friendly service, we ordered two pizzas - both the best we had in the area during our last weeks in Sicily, the seafood pasta was tasty and filling, the risotto with boletus was aromatic and delicious, the fries for the children were fresh and crispy, the service was also very nice, a very nice place in Erice where children can play peacefully in the square, safe from traffic :) I recommend it and greet the hosts :)

08/06/2025: Il Whyte Café è molto più di un semplice bar: è un luogo dove gusto, atmosfera e accoglienza si fondono perfettamente. Perfetto per iniziare bene la giornata o concedersi una pausa con gusto! Il locale è accogliente, curato nei dettagli e con un’atmosfera calda che ti fa sentire subito a casa. Il personale è gentile, sorridente e attento: ti accolgono sempre con una parola gentile e il sorriso sulle labbra. Ottimi gli aperitivi: ben curati, con drink preparati a regola d’arte e stuzzichini abbondanti e gustosi. L’ambiente è ideale sia per chi cerca tranquillità che per due chiacchiere con gli amici. Un locale dove si respira passione, energia positiva e grande professionalità. Consigliatissimo se siete in zona o volete vivere un momento speciale nel cuore del paese. Un bar che unisce qualità, cortesia e passione. Complimenti davvero!

30/09/2025: I don't understand how some people can say that the pizza was excellent and above all how can a person write a review that anyone who comments negatively is a superfluous and untrue review, most likely these people not only don't even know what a pizza is, but have never eaten a real pizza in their life, pizza is shameful even to call it pizza, honestly. Just look at it to understand that it is worse than the frozen pizzas at the supermarket, however, we left the whole pizza on the table and left paying for everything like great gentlemen who were not so great as the owners who didn't even understand that their pizza makes you throw away!

20/08/2025: I found it by chance. I had pizza there for dinner with my family and it was so good, we went back for lunch to try some of the pasta dishes, and the result was the same. I highly recommend it... the portions are generous and filling!

24/10/2025: Amazing coffee and cannoli! I tried so hard to understand this dessert in Italy and Italian restaurants in other countries, but it was here that I fell in love and realized how truly delicious it can be! Thank you!
