17/06/2025: In vacanza ad Avola, per visitare la parte orientale della Sicilia, città di partenza per visitare luoghi intrisi di storia barocca e dove le vicine spiagge tolgono il fiato, siamo indirizzati da persone del posto in questo bistrot fronte mare dove Tonino e la sua famiglia gestiscono con professionalità e passione uno spazio, dove la buona cucina la fa da padrona. Nella settimana di permanenza ci siamo tornati più volte ... e non ci siamo mai pentiti della scelta. L'attenzione per l'ospite, la cura dei particolari, unita alla qualità della buona cucina ed alla disponibilità di Tonino e del suo staff ... hanno reso le serate e le cene passate da e con loro meritevoli di menzione. Al papà di Tonino un ringraziamento particolare .... I limoni che coltiva con amore e passione, che utilizza nell'attività, e che ci ha regalato, per alcuni giorni seppur già rientrati a casa... ci hanno permesso di sentire il profumo della sua bellissima terra. 23/05/2025: Smash 🍔 with cheese was moist, tender and delicious. Not dry. Had the right seasoning. Brioche buns. Would order again. Noodles with mussels and shrimp were also delicious

14/09/2025: We had made a reservation, but the reservation couldn't be found. We got a table anyway, but then had to wait a very long time. The place was recommended to us by our next-door accommodation, but we were disappointed. Not just with the service and ambiance, but also with the food. We expected more. I didn't even take a photo of the bruschetta a la casa...

12/09/2025: Top-notch arancini!! Giuseppina's arancini are delicious from start to finish. Once you try them, you can't help but come back. They're so good and crunchy, they're addictive!!! Fantastic!!!

29/09/2025: We stopped for dinner! Excellent caponata and gluten-free focaccia paired with a nice glass of Nero d'Avola! Everything was delicious at a more than fair price! See you next time!

11/10/2025: I went here in the quest of the best cannolo in Avola. This was not it - the texture of the filling was a bit off, and the cannolo had been pre-filled (which makes the crust a bit soggy and less crunchy). I also had a coffee granita which I did not like, as well as another pastry which was a bit bland. It was all takeaway. I suppose this is a good place for a quick coffee, but I wouldn't go again.

09/10/2025: Not the kindest owner towards solo travelling women, he is kind of grumpy. Cassatella a bit expensive at 5 euros. I was there off season, in October, it may be very busy in summer

19/09/2025: If there were six stars, it would deserve them...the food, service, and atmosphere are excellent. The prices are fair for the quality offered. The first courses are rich in seasoning. Highly recommended.

26/07/2025: We stumbled across this cafe/ dessert shop/ bar on our first day and have been back everyday. The tiny ice creams in the freezer are the perfect small sweet treat at the end of the day. Favourite is the hazelnut flavour. We also (accidentally but what a happy accident) ordered an ice cream brioche with three ice cream flavours in it. As well as a lobster tail pastry with ricotta I think? YUM

19/07/2025: Great little coffee bar with excellent ice cream on a cute piazza near the beach. We were there around 14:00 so it was deserted. Highly recommend!

23/09/2025: Fabulous cafe in the main square with plenty of choice for breakfast pastries. Table service is an extra 20% but easy enough to order inside at the bustling and busy counter il (lots of locals). Super cheap. We had brioche, croissant and some kind of chocolate pastry (all fresh and delicious), Americano and macchiato- all for just over 7 euro.

04/09/2025: I had a spritz and it was brought to me in a plastic cup. It was ruined too. Two crisps not included in the aperitif (2) €2.70.

07/09/2025: Fantastic agriturismo, stunning pool, so quiet, a lovely playground for children, and lots of dogs and cats. But what really makes it unique is the wonderful hospitality of the owners and the simple yet delicious and authentic cuisine. We'll definitely be back.

03/09/2025: Beautiful area of Sicilian countryside. Clean, basic room. An informal family set up with perhaps ten dogs / cats roaming around. No 'staff' but various teenagers / family members with their own children and friends coming and going were on hand. Unsure who to ask for things we needed. No dedicated food times or service. Food was OK; no choice but there was a lot of it! We felt like an inconvenience at times.

05/05/2025: Non posso dire di avere mangiato male ma dalle recensioni lette mi aspettavo piatti più saporiti. Ho provato la tartare di pesce spada ma non mi é piaciuta, mancava di sale e non ho sentito per nulla il profumo di agrumi descritto sul menu. Inoltre ho provato anche i tonnarelli marzamemi ma li ho trovati asciutti e slegati col resto del condimento. Inoltre la bottarga non era abbastanza da rendere sapido il piatto che infatti é risultato povero di sale. Il personale é stato gentile e la location é molto carina.

03/05/2025: Piatti davvero ottimi.Abbiamo preso tonnarelli Marzamemi con capuliato e bottarga, porzione abbondantissima e sapore incredibilmente buono, la zuppa di cozze, non la classica pepata ma con un sughetto con pomodorini che ci si doveva per forza inzuppare il pane, aromatizzato e squisito.Poi il coppo con gamberi alici e seppie gustoso perché si sentiva che era fatto con pesce freschissimo! Location semplice e molto caratteristica...anche a mia figlia è piaciuta tutto! ...e vi assicuro che era la prima volta e non siamo né parenti né amici! Complimenti davvero! Anche il personale gentilissimo e premuroso.

17/08/2025: A beautiful old farmhouse just outside the fabulous town of Avola. However, the service is poor, and instead of leaving a tip, you'll feel like leaving—assuming you arrive for dinner before midnight. There's no point in making a reservation for 9:00 PM; it's better to book for lunch and go for dinner; you might be served on time. Assuming they bring you what you ordered.
