05/02/2025: Each dish represents the place well, the "Madonita" cuisine made of typical products such as mushrooms, cheeses, suckling pig, are brought to the plate and elaborated in an innovative way with elegance without betraying the full and true taste of the products themselves An excellent cuisine to my taste, for the dessert I will have to return.... except for the "Turk's head" (typical Castebuonese dessert) there wasn't much left Welcoming and pleasant dining room staff Negative note is represented by the little space for movement and on the table.... Clean and comfortable facilities Quality and price are balanced

04/03/2025: Superb discovery in Castelbuono, we ate like kings! The portions were huge and the service impeccable, the staff are really helpful and friendly, I highly recommend it if you have the chance to visit this most picturesque village 🥰

02/03/2025: I come here with friends because they already knew the place, I took a small cup with hazelnut and pistachio and both were creamy and delicious, you rarely find such good ice creams, then I also treated myself to a pistachio cream puff at the pastry shop and that cream was fabulous :-) congratulations

04/01/2025: What a great find in this gem of a mountain village. They opened a bit early just to serve us (it was about 12 noon and a couple of other places emphatically open at 12:30). My panini was freshly made, friends had burgers and bruschetta - all the food was delicious. Service was friendly and very accommodating- especially as our Italian was a bit broken. Best of all a decent coffee which is sometimes hard for an Australian taste. Absolutely loved the groovy, hipster vibe (we were in our 60s). A wonderful experience 😊

29/12/2024: A truly delicious lunch in the heart of Castelbuono. The dishes are delicious, the quality of the products unquestionable. However, what really makes the difference is the staff with their smiles and kindness. And you pay very little too!! I would have given 10 stars because those who know how to work really deserve top marks.

05/01/2025: Try them -> • citrus panettone: dry and charred underneath; • pandorato at Kinder Bueno: dry and with very little filling (with the guns 4 out of 5 slices didn't have it); Both with an annoying yeasty aftertaste. This quality is expected from industrial products, certainly not from artisan ones. Two stars instead of 1 only because the creams were actually good. Never again. 01/01/2025: This year we decided to give our closest friends a Sferruzza panettone (about ten): it was a success. Everyone, absolutely everyone, appreciated the quality and taste of the panettone that we gave them. Thank you for the good impression you made us make. See you next year.

01/10/2024: Historic shop in Castelbuono that produces simple and delicious biscuits. One leads to another. My favorites: riccioli, excellent for dipping, and cannellini beans, also valid as an end to a meal with coffee

01/10/2024: On our 4th visit, I realized that this place deserves a review. We have become familiar with the daily specials and have our favourites on the list every time we visit. Mine is the baked pasta of anellini with stringy cheese and generous meat and tomato sauce and ham chunks and eggplant. One portion fills me up. They always have seasonal veggies on hand and oven roasted potatoes or fries. This is more like upscale pub food for an italian bar. The owners are kind and helpful. The roasted chicken was lovely but salty. They always give you fresh bread and a great choice of beer or wine. You have to ask for tap water. It is not served automatically which is typical for most places here with most people preferring mineral water. They have great coffee snd fresh baked pastries all day , too . The prices are very good in fact. This place has the best value of any place I have eaten. It is in town on a busy street with tables outside so its never boring. The interior is decent. This by place is always a welcoming eatery and off the usual restaurant trek, but seriously good comfort foods.

17/02/2025: We know the Umberto I restaurant/pizzeria well, for several years we have been stopping by them during our visits to Castelbuono to refresh ourselves in the true sense of the word! Michele (one of the owners) is a master of hospitality and is able to recommend the right dishes for every type of need. All the staff are as friendly and attentive as he is. The products are always super fresh, the cleanliness and attention to detail do not go unnoticed. It feels right at home! We can't wait to go back😊

26/01/2025: During our stay in Castelbuono we tried this pizzeria. Excellent pizza and wide choice. Excellent service. We returned the next day despite the wait, because unfortunately we had not booked, because we were satisfied. Absolutely worth trying!!
