15/03/2026: Very professional and attentive service, great wine list, and excellent food. We ate there two evenings. The antipasti platter for two was fantastic.

08/03/2026: We had lunch at this trattoria and were very satisfied. The place is welcoming, clean, and well-kept, with a truly pleasant atmosphere. We had an appetizer, more than enough for two to share: plentiful, very good, and made with the freshest ingredients. For our first course, we chose paccheri, truly excellent, prepared traditionally and in generous portions. The mimosa cake was also very good, soft and tasty. The staff is kind, smiling, and attentive. A place where you eat well and where we will gladly return.

14/02/2026: I went to Trattoria Vico Proietti for Valentine's Day with my girlfriend. They welcomed us immediately, opening the door and seating us, giving us the opportunity to choose the table we liked best. A rich selection of both fish and meat appetizers, both of which piqued our curiosity... taste, flavor, and tradition in every dish. Having arrived from Palermo, I must say I was truly satisfied with the quality and the product, worth the miles traveled. The wine, recommended by the manager, a knowledgeable and truly friendly person, was perfect and made the moment even more special. The homemade dessert was excellent. I'm not one to leave casual reviews, but here it deserves to be said: I would return for dinner tonight. 5/5 without hesitation.

07/02/2026: Great restaurant with a beautiful courtyard (especially in warmer weather). The antipasti are highly recommended (perfect for sharing). The primi and secondi are excellent. Great wines. Reservations are recommended, especially on Saturdays.

29/12/2025: Went with colleagues. The guys are kind and friendly, the pizza is well-seasoned and easy to digest. Having the bathroom outside might be inconvenient in the winter, but everything was clean.

28/12/2025: A very welcome discovery In the heart of Acireale, without a reservation, we were able to enjoy an excellent pizza and wine, one of the best both for the type of dough and the top-quality ingredients. We were surrounded by a relaxing atmosphere, with pleasant lighting and warmth even outside. We were pampered by the discreet and extremely kind staff, who, despite the holidays, were prompt and attentive. Recommended for any occasion given the variety of spaces.

08/02/2026: We ate at La Curva in Capumulini, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The quality of the food was poor, and the service didn't meet our expectations. The Catalan salad, which came with the appetizers but which no one specifically ordered, consisted mostly of tomato and red onion. It cost €62.30, which doesn't justify the decent quality and quantity of lobster. The mixed fried fish was cold and foul-smelling, while the sardines a beccafico and the battered cod were cold and tasteless. The Venere pasta was overcooked and lacked any flavor of bottarga, the main ingredient in this dish. Given its predominant flavor, I would have expected it to dominate the rest, but this aspect actually faded into the background given how overcooked the pasta was. In the lobster pasta, the flavor of lobster was a vague and distant memory. The caponata was truly inedible, a complete heresy for a Catanese, and the sweet and sour salmon was awful. The sea green linguine was decent, but neither good nor bad. However, there were a few dishes we enjoyed, such as the tonnarello with truffle and the Savarin, which was of the highest quality, so kudos to the pastry shop where they purchased it. Unfortunately, the liqueurs and coffee were not offered, and, while not required, that was our deluded expectation. In conclusion, our experience at La Curva a Capumulini was very disappointing, and we can't recommend this restaurant, or at least we doubt we'll return.

13/03/2026: The quality and freshness of the food there is always top-notch. I can only find the pasta with mauro seaweed and limpets here, and it's exceptional and unique. Not to mention the raw fish and everything else. Whenever I'm in the area, I never miss dinner here.

You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the care taken in frying them, which is dry and flawless. 25/01/2026: I'm giving it one star because I can't give it any less. I've been going to this place for years and have always had a great experience. Yesterday, January 24, 2026, the feast of San Sebastiano, in addition to the very long wait of about two hours for a table, I ordered focaccia number 14, with pistachios, potatoes, and speck. After leaving the restaurant, I had a severe stomachache, so much so that I couldn't even walk. I associated this with the meal I had eaten here, precisely because the previous meal was hours and hours earlier. I won't be returning. Highly not recommended.

08/02/2026: We met up for a family pizza, and while looking at the best the Acireale area had to offer, we didn't waste too much time finding this place with so many positive reviews. The experience was very positive: good pizzas, great flavor combinations, and a wide selection. The staff were very attentive, friendly, and helpful. The dinner was a pleasant experience that we might repeat in the near future. Well done! Great place, great team! 👏🏼👏🏼

07/03/2026: The staff were friendly, and the small balcony where we ate lunch overlooked the sea. The food was nothing special: the appetizers were poor and full of oil, and the spaghetti with sea urchins were mediocre, with too much oil and too much garlic. The quality of the food doesn't justify the prices. For this reason, I wouldn't return and I wouldn't recommend it. Friendly staff.

28/02/2026: Peace that tastes like seafood! The tables are on the first floor, and it should be wheelchair accessible because the fire door opens onto the street on the other side of the building. I went with a friend and we had mussel soup, (I) spaghetti with squid ink, pasta with sea urchins, and finally, fried squid rings for the main course. Everything, absolutely everything, was tasty and delicious. The portions were just right; we were already full after the soup, but the spaghetti was just right. The fried fish to finish was perfect. I'm more than satisfied with the place and recommend it!

04/03/2026: A little pricey... But good! Nothing to complain about. As for the staff... well... maybe they could use a little training and be able to explain the differences between the pizzas you make. One was probably on her first day and called a colleague, and the colleague showed me a photo on her phone to help me understand the type of pizza, while for the other type she had no reference... Anyway, in the end, the food was good, so if I have the chance again, I'll be back!

25/02/2026: A truly positive experience; we were thrilled during the famous Acireale Carnival. Excellent pizzas, fresh, top-quality ingredients. We tried the red shrimp, lime, and ginger futomaki (22 EUR), tuna hosomaki (6 EUR), and a delicious sausage and potato pizza with thick crusts (15.5 EUR). Everything was delicious!

14/12/2025: Recommended! A small, family-run place, we ate really well and then finished with a treat: delicious homemade liqueurs 🤩 one licorice and the other bitter.

15/02/2026: The cannoli with ricotta – it was absolutely delicious, mouthwatering. I highly recommend it, it's truly worth it. I saw a sign from the street saying "specialitat cannoli siciliani with ricotta," ran in for one, and regretted only having one. This cream is the most wonderful thing ever (and I'm not a fan, but I'd definitely stop by here). Compared to the others, this was brilliant, a masterpiece! Thank you!!!

10/02/2026: Without a doubt, the best granita in Acireale. During my stay, Cannavó was a regular stop. The brioche exceeded my expectations, unlike the usual bars where you find it empty. Definitely worth returning.

15/03/2026: I went to lunch at La Polena restaurant with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The food wasn't particularly well-crafted, and the menu selection was rather limited. Considering the price, I definitely expected better quality and attention to detail in the dishes. It's a real shame, because the staff was very kind and helpful throughout the service, which was certainly the highlight of the experience. I hope the restaurant can improve its offerings and the attention to detail in its dishes, because so far, the value for money hasn't lived up to expectations.

24/02/2026: We had lunch at La Polena based on a recommendation we received upon arrival, and it turned out to be a perfect choice. From the moment you arrive, you sense the attention and care they give, with small, much-appreciated gifts that kick off the experience in the best possible way. Fresh seafood dishes, beautifully balanced and cooked with authentic, well-presented flavors. Impeccable, courteous service, always available to explain every offering. Stunning views of the Aci Trezza sea, a relaxing atmosphere, and excellent value. A place definitely worth a visit!
