26/06/2024: Abitualmente, in occasione del rientro pomeridiano, mi fermo al Bar Rio per la pausa pranzo. Nicola, con i suoi primi, rende ogni mercoledì una dolce scoperta e delizia. In genere, mi astengo dallo scrivere le recensioni ma oggi, la Busiata Melanzana e Tonno Rosso con l’immancabile spolverata di mollica, preparata di persona personalmente da Nicola, mi ha veramente invogliato. Non aggiungo altro per non parlare delle generosissime porzioni………

27/11/2024: 5/5 in everything!! the starter with the fish was so simple and yet so tastefull ( could have been at a lower price comparing in quantity). We tried the pasta alle vongole, the one with the mussels but the star-plate was the shrimp pistacchio spaghetti. I cound never imagine shrimp with pistacchio (maybe sicilian cuisine combines lost of dishes with different nuts) it was truly a 5/5 exprerience, a quiet place in a back alley, very romantic! the wine list is great, but also the staff was very kind, helpfull, and elegant with their moves! comparing to other places this city has to offer, which are ver disappointing, this one stands out and deserves the 4.5 on google reviews. mind you it is not a 10 euro per person, but it is an elegant restaurant with great menu and service. well done!!

18/11/2024: Went here for dinner due to the good reviews but were very disappointed with the food. We ordered "fantasia di mare" as an appetizer and as mains the "carbonara di mare e bottarga" and "zuppa dello chef". The service was friendly and the food was served quickly. The quality of the appetizer was good, but the carbonara was way oversalted, and the soup with the catch of the day seemed very simple flavor-wise (tomato soup with broken pasta). As foreigners with almost no Italian knowledge there was a language barrier with the waiter speaking also almost no English and we didn't know that they only served wine or water as drinks. Complimentary bread was nice though. Our visit was only okay and we would not return again, sadly.

14/08/2024: Sandwich shop in the historic center of Porto Empedocle, which in recent years has exponentially increased its clientele thanks to the low-spending, well-eating formula. Huge sandwiches, super seasoned and low prices. I recommend street food and especially their home made porchetta.

03/11/2024: Courteous staff, very kind owners and delicious pizza. We ordered a lust, full of really good and not at all disdainful pistachio pesto, in perfect balance with the other ingredients. The stuffed edge then makes you want to order another one straight away! The Vasatase fries with plenty of cheddar and bacon are also excellent, and the pistachio dessert is simply delicious. Compliments!

20/10/2024: Simple but good restaurant with friendly service. We ate there on two days with 7 people each and everyone was very satisfied. Cheap, good restaurant.

12/10/2024: Come sempre, una volta arrivati a Lampedusa, dobbiamo tornare al Ritrovo. Ambiente informale, cibo ottimo a prezzo decisamente contenuto. Porzioni abbondanti!

11/10/2024: Ordiniamo un piatto di cozze e uno di polpette, non riusciamo ad accendere una sigaretta che già sono arrivati…. Conditi bene, cozze buone, ma tutto freddo… com’è possibile?! Nel giro di poco arrivano gli spaghetti con le cozze e il piatto di spada… l unica cosa calda erano gli spaghetti che si sono freddati nel giro di poco perché le cozze appoggiate sopra era FREDDE!!!! Cavolo, ci vuole un attimo a cucinare un piatto caldo a chi ti paga e ti paga anche bene!!! Pessimi

09/11/2024: Abbiamo ricevuto il messaggio da parte della moglie del l’oste che ci invitava ad assaggiare il menu dedicato al tartufo. Siamo andati con amici i piatti di carne erano strabilianti ma l’uovo con tartufo bianco è stato il piatto che non dimenticheremo facilmente,un plauso a Chiara per l’ottimo consiglio sui rossi che abbiamo bevuto. Conto 90€ tutto a base di tartufo direi perfetto.

26/10/2024: We have been going there for years and we still love it, the refined and sophisticated cuisine. Menu of 6 seats. Delicious and not to spoil anything, exceptional service provided by his wife who is very attentive to detail. And to top it all off, the chef himself who takes the time to tell us about his dishes, takes us back in time, the period when our parents and grandparents cooked with passion and love. My mouth is still watering just talking about it.

11/12/2024: I still think about this place! The food was more then delicious… I loved the pasta I had and also the starter. One of my favorites was also the Aperol spritz. I’ll definitely come back.

28/11/2024: My favorite place in Agrigento! I come back every time I return to Italy. A peculiar restaurant, in the heart of Agrigento, which offers impeccable service, in a refined environment, offering dishes that are among my all-time favorites. A must try stop in the city!

28/08/2024: Excellent burgers...nice but underappreciated place...excellent beer.

12/08/2024: The food was excellent but the wait was a little less. We arrived at 9.30pm and left at 12.00am. We were 4 people and the staff was only serving 4 other tables. All in all, the experience in this restaurant was good with background music, a little look at the menu would be perfect with the ingredients written too small.

30/10/2024: We had a delicious dinner in this restaurant on an evening with little turnout of customers and therefore the service of the only waiter present was excellent accompanied by some nice, non-invasive chatter. The fish was excellent obviously we took prawns and fried fish accompanied by a glass of wine. A slightly secluded place with a price consistent with what was ordered

23/06/2024: My family and I went to this restaurant... as soon as we entered we noticed the rudeness towards a waiter, we ordered spaghetti and we didn't like it very much, not recommended.

29/09/2024: Cucina discreta, servizio buono. Carta dei vini eccessivamente esosa, ambiente angusto, manca empatia col cliente ma soprattutto grande caduta di stile : in un conto di € 640 euro e' stata compresa la voce di 6 euro per una pastina olio e parmigiano servita dopo un ora dall arrivo alla bambina che era al nostro tavolo.

27/09/2024: Atratti dall'annoverazione nella guida Michelin negli ultimi due anni entriamo in questi piccolo locale, molto bene tenuto e con una vetrina che consente di sbirciare nell'operato dei cuochi. Peccato che la cappa in acciaio presenta nel bordo con le mattonelle un'ombra scura, che potrebbe far pensare a qualche trascuratezza nelle pulizie. Gli antipasti di crudo, non conferiscono quel gusto delicato con sentore di mare, tipico dei crudi freschi, che invece si è apprezzata con la triglia sul letto di purea di melanzane, primi poco soddisfacenti. Buono solo il dolce alla zucchetta portato troppo bollente, effetto microonde
