02/08/2026: Yesterday I ordered three takeout pizzas: two regular ones, one gluten-free (said and specified). Fast service; the pizzas arrived after 45 minutes. As I was taking the first bite of my gluten-free pizza, luckily and from experience, I realized it was a regular pizza. I called the restaurant, and the guy who placed the previous order answered again. Instead of apologizing, he blamed me for not repeating it more often. In the end, I reordered the gluten-free pizza, which arrived after 20 minutes (as stated over the phone). The unfortunate thing is that I had to pay for it. I mean, it's not about the money itself, but they brought a pizza (which we didn't eat) that I hadn't requested or paid for. At the very least, I should have just paid for the difference for the gluten-free. As a customer, this is a very important detail that should be noted and remembered. Otherwise, the pizza was excellent.

29/07/2026: PERFECT! PERFECT! PERFECT! Walking along Via Atenea, we were pestered by a cheerful young woman who insisted we visit the restaurant. At first, we preferred to continue our tour first, but then we retraced our steps around dinner time. Despite the unusual approach (perhaps because it's an approach I'm not used to), there was no misleading advertising: La Scala is a restaurant that delivers what it promises. We went upstairs and were seated exactly where we requested, on a very intimate terrace with just a table and two chairs, creating the perfect romantic atmosphere. The waiters were quick, kind, and attentive. We ordered the catch of the day, which in this case was grilled sea bass on mashed potatoes and a tuna fillet in a crust, but the highlight was the raw fish: I've never eaten anything like it. It felt like we were eating at the sea. All these factors combined made us conclude that it couldn't have been better, and we wanted to offer our personal compliments, especially to the chef. Fair price for the excellent quality. Perfect, I won't add anything else.

08/03/2026: A very normal place like many others that pretends to be an "in" place like New York, none of that, (fly Down), we asked for a Crodino, and he looked at us as if he didn't know what it was with a snobbish air, and as an aperitif he didn't know the Chips, what can I say, they pretend to be high level but deep down, really deep down "Fly Down".

12/07/2026: Last year we stayed at L'Albero for a few days and immediately fell in love with the beautiful, lovingly restored and furnished rooms (we were able to see all four), so much so that this year we decided to spend our entire 16-day vacation there. Gerlando and his entire team are incredibly helpful, courteous, and friendly. The adjacent restaurant serves delicious food in the beautiful garden among lemon and orange trees, and offers a wide selection (pizza, pasta, meat, etc.). Breakfast, served by Nancy, is abundant and varied; she always asks if we need anything else. Her kind, cheerful, and helpful nature is contagious, and so every day always starts with a smile—thank you, Nancy, for everything. Outside, there is a large parking lot surrounded by trees, bushes, and flowers, with a beautiful, centuries-old olive tree in the center. The truly beautiful beach is just a few minutes' walk away, or you can drive to a larger parking lot. We highly recommend L'Albero to all visitors: it's wonderful and the people who work there are special and immediately enter your heart.
