05/11/2025: We were in Gallipoli on a tour of Sardinia and had dinner at this typical restaurant. Everything was delicious, and we had excellent service. I recommend everyone visit Gallipoli and stop at this truly interesting restaurant.

20/10/2025: We visited Rubino restaurant in Gallipoli while trekking in Salento; it's an excellent place for a seafood dinner. The atmosphere is elegant and welcoming, suitable for both couples and friends. The seafood is fresh, well-cooked, and carefully presented. The staff is friendly and helpful. I'd say it's a solid choice for quality seafood in the city.

07/09/2025: It's an unusual restaurant that I've been following for years and I never miss a trip to their place. They're always extremely helpful with any requests, for example, they know I love fried mussels and they make a separate portion for me with them, not to mention the selection of wines and the spirits and bitters that they produce themselves... let's be clear, I'm not a member of theirs, truly the best in Gallipoli... then now with the new location, the icing on the cake (obviously that's also good)

26/10/2025: A beautiful venue with soft lighting and sofas for a relaxing end to the evening, perfect for couples. The staff is friendly and professional. We'll return time and time again.

09/10/2025: You can taste the authenticity of the ingredients used, the fresh and light dough. Five of us dined, ordering two pucce, two piadinas, and a pizza. Everything was delicious, generously filled and incredibly light. There's limited seating and only outdoor seating, but the service is quick, and it's beautiful to dine outside on Gallipoli's main street, enjoying the summer sunset. We'll definitely be back at the first opportunity.

08/10/2025: An absolute highlight. A very inconspicuous shop. It has a total of four tables for seating. But the sandwiches are fantastic. This is especially thanks to the freshly baked bread, which comes warm from the oven. We got the traditional sandwich to go. Five minutes later, we had to go back for a second one. Truly delicious!

13/10/2025: I had high expectations for this place, which turned out to be welcoming and with very friendly staff. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was disappointing: the pizzas were undercooked, rubbery, and overly salty, the fried foods were cold, and the wait was long. After dinner, I felt heavy and unwell for hours. It wasn't a satisfying experience, and honestly, I don't think I'll be back.

03/12/2025: Today we were guests for a ceremony at Osteria Briganti. The restaurant is located in the inner part of old Gallipoli; a very traditional and typical little place. The staff was formal and well-dressed. The coordination between the various appetizers, first courses, and second courses was excellent, despite the number of people in the room. A particularly polite and friendly young man served us during lunch. What can I say? I highly recommend it.

16/11/2025: This place was discovered online. What can I say? Excellent food, spaghetti with shrimp tartar and crumbled tarallo, the Topppp. The house antipasto was fabulous. The quality of the ingredients was excellent. The staff were attentive and the value was excellent. We'll be back with great pleasure.

06/11/2025: What once began as a butcher shop has grown into a luxury restaurant serving typical Pugliese delicacies. The food was good, although the medium-rare T-bone steak was more rare than medium. We started with a tasting of 10 local appetizers and had a main course. We were too full to order dessert. The wine was excellent, especially considering the price. All in all, a good restaurant in the more upscale price range. But an experience in itself.

15/11/2025: We were at the restaurant last year and had a wonderful time. For this reason, we decided to return this year, and the experience was once again excellent. The food is very good, delicious dishes of excellent quality, fresh fish carefully prepared by the owner's mother. This time we ate: raw red prawns, octopus, a couple of different pasta dishes, pasticciotto cake, homemade limoncello—all delicious! But what makes the restaurant even more special, besides the little square it overlooks, is the owner's hospitality, his wife's attentive service, and the professionalism and expertise of the two family members in the dining room, who made us feel at home and ensured a wonderful evening. 10/11/2025: Diner with my love. It’s a cold night here in Gallipoli, 20 degrees but with a cold wind coming from the sea! Totani are a type of flying squid, similar to calamari, but they are not the same. While both are common in Italian cuisine and often confused, they have distinct differences in texture, flavor, and how they are best prepared. As an entrée. Tagliolini pesce spade con curvumen and swordfish for me.

05/11/2025: Come in Famiglia, these three simple words can make my experience in this restaurant clear. Those who occasionally read my reviews know well that I don't like eating in Gallipoli, not because of the amount of money one spends but because of the possible negative experience one might have. Well, today that wasn't the case. I would finally say that I had been passing by the seafront near the cold storage units for many years (once upon a time when the fishing boats arrived with the fish, they arrived right in front of these enormous cold storage units) and every time we passed by this place it was always full (summer period), so we went elsewhere to eat. But today here we are at 7:45 pm, the place is open and there are only diners, the owner and the Metre are there to welcome us, they welcome us with a big smile and here we are with the QR code we order, a chat with the owners and here come our dishes "Rich, abundant, and above all GOOD". I haven't posted any photos of the dishes because they have already been published by other diners, but only the bill, in my opinion. Correct for what we ate. Best regards to the owner, and see you next time.

13/10/2025: A well-deserved 5 stars for the courtesy, the helpfulness, the clean and welcoming atmosphere, and last but not least, the simply exquisite dishes. An honorable mention for the orecchiette with turnip tops, perfect in every detail! A lunch we'll never forget, and one that, despite the great distance, we hope to repeat soon! Congratulations to the entire staff!!
