22/08/2025: Simple, authentic food. It could have been a little cheaper, but we were at a table on a small, downhill street in the historic center. We had lasagna, avocado toast, scrambled tofu, vegetable noodles, and pasta with arugula pesto. Everything was very fresh and healthy. Even the delicious desserts (chocolate cake with plum compote and matcha pudding) and the free grain bread served upon arrival, with beetroot hummus. The two omnivores at the table were happy. There should be more places like this.

15/08/2025: In a nutshell: it's worth the long line you have to stand outside. Top quality, masterful organization, impeccable selection of products, affordable prices. I highly recommend it to everyone. P.S.: I'd only stop the duo who walks between the tables with a tambourine.

15/08/2025: Let me start by saying we had dinner on August 6th, when Cisternino was very busy. I imagine and hope the timing isn't what we've experienced. We arrived at 8:30 PM, having been told over the phone that they didn't accept reservations. We waited in line to choose our meat at the counter until 9:30 PM. The first courses arrived at 10:15 PM. The sausage was good, especially the spicy one, and the bombette: unfortunately, the first ones weren't fully cooked. The capocollo was too tough. The meat rolls, however, were excellent. So, we'll try them again at a less crowded time of year.

09/06/2025: We spontaneously went to "il Grappolo" for dinner today. Although we've had consistently good meals in Puglia so far, the food and service at "il Grappolo" were the best of the trip so far and completely won us over. Fresh fish, homemade pasta, and a varied menu with wonderful hosts. What more could you want?

27/08/2025: Absolutely lovely in a small side street. Very friendly and efficient staff. The orecchiette is very good and authentic. The oven-baked lamb had quite a lot of bones and not much meat, with an intense flavor. Very good white wine from the half bottle.

27/08/2025: A charming little alleyway and then this trattoria Bère Vecchie (from the Spanish for "old quarter"). Very friendly service, absolutely uncomplicated. We eat very well, first with various orecchiette, then we share a plate of lamb (the pieces are cut with a funny nose-to-tail style). It's yucky, but not too bad, just rather chewy. Not cheap, but OK. Recommended, as it's extremely friendly!

26/08/2025: We ordered two slices of cake, both fresh and high-quality. The flavor was good, and you could taste the care taken in selecting the ingredients. The location is pleasant: lightweight yet comfortable metal tables and chairs are set outside under a gazebo in a well-kept square. The prices are slightly above average, but in line with the quality and the setting. A pleasant place for a break.

21/08/2025: We waited an exhausting 40 minutes precisely, sitting at a dull table with remnants of previous food, cleaned with a cloth from my apron pocket. Crumbs fell under the table, if not directly onto the person sitting next to me. After another 10 minutes, no staff member came over to take our order. We were forced to leave, as did other customers near our table. I wish you the best of luck... but service isn't your strong point.
