Zio Pietro In Cisternino

Of all the bombettes on offer (we ordered only bombettes in all their variations), the most delicious and unique were the breaded ones and the ones stuffed with zucchini and cheese. The other options, such as those with veal, were very dry and even tasteless. As for the prices, unfortunately, they are very high for simple pork.

A great establishment; try to arrive right when they open to avoid the queue. The meats are cooked perfectly, the only downside is the rather limited selection of sides. But you'll leave with a big smile, and it's good value for money. I highly recommend it.

We went to this place on the recommendation of another local and I must say that I ate very well. Ultimately it is a butcher's shop where you order the meat you want, they sit you down when it is ready and bring it to your table... the meat is wonderful with a spectacular flavor between Apulian bombette, sausages and lamb ribs, my husband and I really gorged ourselves... to start we had a small platter with local cured meats and cheeses which were also delicious. Fair prices because for 2 of us with all that meat we paid 55 euros. If you pass by Cisternino it is a must-see.

One of the most popular places in Cisternino... Great combo, simple, and good food!! They seat you inside or in the alley outside, depending on availability. I recommend arriving early, around 7:30 PM to avoid the long lines... Congratulations!!

We had a fantastic experience at Zio Pietro! The concept is a little different from a typical restaurant but usual in this city , and that’s part of its charm. Even before opening time, a queue starts to form – definitely a good sign, and well worth the wait. First, you choose your meat at the butcher-style counter, then you’re shown to your table while it’s grilled to perfection. In the meantime, you can order your sides and drinks, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. The service was friendly and welcoming, the food arrived quickly, and everything was cooked perfectly. The quality of the meat was excellent, and the entire meal was delicious. If you’re looking for great food and a unique dining experience, Zio Pietro is absolutely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

I returned to Cisternino after three years. It's an enchanting and romantic place. Uncle Pietro is an institution. I couldn't wait to try the straccetti and bombette! Excellent!
