03/03/2026: If you happen to be vacationing in the area and have forgotten that kitchens generally all close at 9 or 10 PM, even in the city, this place can be your lifesaver for a quick, last-minute dinner: the kitchen stays open until late! After wandering far and wide to find a place to eat, we finally arrived at this establishment late in the evening. The staff welcomed us kindly and quickly got us dinner without too much fuss or rushing. We ate pizza and some traditional Tyrolean dishes, and I must say that everything was cooked perfectly and the pizza was truly delicious. The staff was attentive and friendly, and the place overall was very spacious, clean, and well-kept.

14/01/2026: A wonderful, family-run hotel for relaxation and enjoyment, with breathtaking views over Schenna and the Merano Valley. We stayed there with our family between Christmas and New Year's and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The food, with its buffets and set menus, was excellent, and we would especially like to thank Silvia for her outstanding service. The hotel also boasts a lovely wellness area with indoor and outdoor pools. The latter is even open in winter and offers stunning views while swimming.

01/11/2025: Extremely attentive service. The ossobuco was amazing. They also have a very tasty gluten-free pizza. It's much nicer to sit in the back of the restaurant…

13/01/2026: I spent Christmas and New Year's Eve at the Schennerhof with friends this year. It was a wonderful time, especially with the holiday menus and the six-course New Year's Eve dinner – both were first-class. After midnight, the hotel put on a beautiful fireworks display, followed by a small dance party. The rooms, pool, and location in town were excellent. The weather was fantastic – nothing but sunshine. We will definitely come back.

19/02/2026: Everything there is simply delicious. The vitello tonnato is superb, the pasta is very good, and the pizza has a fantastic (thick) crust that I really love. Try a variety of dishes. The service is also top-notch. If it's busy, please be patient; the staff only have two hands. It's well worth it. And please try the crème brûlée—it's heavenly!

17/02/2026: It was absolutely fantastic! We ate here three nights in a row. The service was always excellent and the food incredibly delicious. The owners are wonderful and extremely friendly. 100% recommended!

08/12/2025: Not even a drink, after more than 45 minutes of waiting no one showed up. I should point out that I called the waiter twice with small children behind me. Not recommended.

20/02/2026: We waited a full two hours for our delivery, even though we were only two streets away. The delivery app said 30-50 minutes. If we had known that, we wouldn't have ordered. The food was also really bad. The taco was soggy, you couldn't even tell what was in it, and the sauce definitely wasn't the one we ordered. Other items we ordered were mixed up. When I called after an hour of waiting to ask how long it would take, they said: "We're the next delivery," which then took another (!!!) hour. Unfortunately, we can't recommend them...

21/01/2026: The best burger my wife and I have ever eaten. The fries were delicious and crispy. You can even order two sauces with your burger. The garlic sauce is highly recommended. It's so good you could drink it. The staff were friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back. #yummi

24/02/2026: A nice place in the center of San Giacomo. Excellent food...especially if you like Indian cuisine. Awesome pizzeria.

29/11/2025: We stopped at this pizzeria on the way. It's a simple but clean place, and the pizza was truly excellent. I had a Margherita, which was perfect in every way: cooked, dough, and mozzarella. Then I had a Romana, which was even better. The staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere was informal. Possibly the best pizza in Bolzano.

30/12/2025: The pizza is huge and delicious, and the first and second courses are excellent too. Prices are reasonable.

22/12/2025: We weren't impressed with the quality of the pizzas; yes, they are very large... the service was average and the atmosphere was okay. Unfortunately, there's no parking due to space limitations.

13/12/2025: Overall, we were very satisfied. Everyone was incredibly friendly, and the food was top-notch. However, what really bothered us was that our towels smelled absolutely musty. We'd been misled by them, and they were immediately musty. It was truly awful. I'm not usually sensitive to smells, but that was completely unacceptable. It wouldn't have been worth mentioning if the smell had been gone after we exchanged the towels.

12/11/2025: The Tenne Lodge has a great location right next to the gondola, making it ideal for skiers. From the outside, the hotel is very attractive and blends well into the natural surroundings. The rooms are very spacious and furnished in an alpine style. The cleanliness throughout the hotel is excellent. However, many minor issues unfortunately contribute to a negative impression of the hotel, especially considering it's a 5-star establishment. The welcome was not only very cold but rather dismissive, and we didn't feel particularly welcome. We were aware of the 2:00 PM check-in time, but being greeted with the phrase "Check-in is from 2:00 PM" is completely unacceptable for a 5-star hotel. There was no inquiry about our well-being, our arrival, or anything similar, and when we had questions about a day's activities, we were referred to an app. Despite the hotel being quite empty, we weren't allowed into our room until 2:00 PM. (We arrived at 12:50 PM.) This is rather petty and reinforced our initial negative impression. We were not escorted to our room or given a brief introduction to the hotel. We received a slip of paper with information, but the reality was quite different. According to the posted notice, the whirlpool was supposed to be open until 7:00 PM, but it had already been drained by 6:00 PM. The entire hotel's design felt somewhat dated. Textured wallpaper, very cheap outdoor chairs, and truly awful loungers on the balconies are not what you'd expect from a 5-star hotel. The pool area is very spacious, but the loungers are crammed together, giving it the feel of a neglected spa. From the pool, you can practically see the hairdresser at work. Nobody needs that. The sauna area is very spacious, but again, nothing special compared to other hotels. The transition between the sauna and pool areas is somewhat makeshift and requires a key. Incidentally, they still use "real" keys here, not keycards. Generally, many things seem poorly thought out and rather impersonal. For example, in a hotel of this price range, I don't expect teapot tea or teacups with the Teekanne logo on them. The gym is small but quite well-equipped, but the exercise mats were so worn and filthy that I decided against working out. Breakfast was good, and the à la carte dishes were of excellent quality. The 13-course dinner was outstanding. Incredibly high quality, beautifully presented, and perfectly seasoned. However, the table manners could be improved, as could the service. Placemats at breakfast? Awful! The staff needs more intensive training. They rarely asked how the food was, and used plates were often simply left untouched. Laurin, on the other hand, is an incredibly attentive and wonderful employee. It's unbelievable that a hotel in 2025 still doesn't have high-speed internet. At times, we couldn't even use Google or Instagram, let alone Zoom (we had to work). I also find the "open" duvet cover problematic. It's convenient for the staff, but simply unhygienic for the guests. There are some fantastic hotels in South Tyrol (Schgaguler, Milla Montis), but the Tenne Lodge is unfortunately not one of them.
