07/10/2025: We came here twice and ate pizza and it was OK both times.

25/09/2025: This is a delightful roadside restaurant with excellent food. The staff were lovely and welcoming to my wife and I, even though we didn't have reservations and it was later in the evening. Though we were in the mood for just pizza and wine, La Rosa does offer a full menu. The pizza was excellent, with thin crust that had a crisp bottom and some char at the edges, and the menu offered more varieties and combinations of toppings than perhaps any restaurant we have visited in Rome and Tuscany over a two week holiday. This simple meal of pizza and wine turned out to be one of our favorite nights of the trip due to the kind staff, relaxed local atmosphere, and great pizza. Grazie!

03/10/2025: Fantastic pizza! Worth a visit. I went back yesterday after six years. The pizza is still delicious. We also tried the carbonara, which was amazing. The house white wine was perfect. Very friendly service. When in Volterra, be sure to stop by for a bite to eat :)

03/09/2025: From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but once inside, it more than makes up for it. The pizza was very tasty, but the seafood spaghetti was worth a solid 10 stars. "Grandma" is a very good and flavorful cook. So, I'll go there again to try out the rest. I'm already looking forward to it.

08/11/2025: Excellent dinner at Amalia Laghi Restaurant in Pontedera. The truffle-flavored fillet steak was perfectly cooked, with a refined balance of flavors and quality ingredients. Attentive and courteous service, a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. A gastronomic experience I highly recommend.

20/10/2025: We come here on and off through the years and have ALWAYS had delicious food. The owner and her staff are wonderful people, it is very well run. Their antipasto is scrumptious and their tagliata is like butter! Bravi!!!

09/11/2025: Informal and welcoming place, friendly staff, very good pizza. I would have preferred, perhaps, given that it's Neapolitan, a slightly higher crust, but the dough was excellent! Delicious cecina, congratulations!!! Well done!!

08/11/2025: The pizza is excellent. It's expensive, but the toppings are high-quality, plentiful, and the dough is delicious. My only complaint is the cleanliness. Takeout service, with a cashier who handles cash, doesn't issue a receipt, and then handles ingredients to be added raw. In short, dirty hands that have touched everything. There wasn't a crowd that day. There were three of us at 8:00 waiting for takeout pizzas. So we didn't make it. It's very serious.

13/09/2025: Food was OK, service was OK, calculations were somewhat strange. Pizza was nice, seafood pasta was nice, but too salty to my taste. I asked for non alcoholic mojito and got this strange sweet liquid, no mint, no lemon, but had to pay as for the full alcoholic drink. Same with wine - smaller portion, but not the smaller price. Anyway, place was fine and not too crowded

10/09/2025: If you're looking for authentic Italian pizza then this is the wrong place. We chose this place because it had good reviews on Google, but it seems like the review might be fake. The pizza tastes like the frozen one that we can buy at supermarket. They have menu on the board on the street, but turns out the menu is completely different. So I ordered chicken, but didn’t expect this 😅. Good side is that the location is good.

09/11/2025: I went to this pizzeria on November 7th for dinner with friends. Excellent pizza and various treats. For dessert, I ordered the crema catalana, which I had never tasted like they do.

26/10/2025: I went to this pizzeria for the first time, invited by a group of friends. Despite being from Pisa, neither my partner nor I had ever heard of it, and unfortunately, we soon understood why. We entered around 8:20 PM: there were only four people in the room. We sat down at our table (there were five of us, waiting for other late diners) and immediately noticed that the room was unbearably hot, as if the heating were turned on full blast. There was no air at all, and even the glasses were missing from the table. After about a quarter of an hour, thirsty, I asked the waitress, a middle-aged woman with black hair, to bring us two bottles of water and some glasses while we waited for the others. Another ten minutes passed without anyone showing up; my girlfriend got up and went to the counter to ask for water again. Nothing. Another ten minutes later, a friend, who knows the owners, tried too. Still nothing. After thirty minutes and three requests, finally, when the other guests had arrived, the waitress approaches and asks what we want to drink. I reply, verbatim: "Ma'am, we'd like two bottles of water and glasses; this is the third time we've asked." She, in an annoyed tone, replies that it's "in order of table." I point out that we were the first to arrive and that there were only four people at the entrance. Her response? "You were waiting, and anyway, I'm not here scratching myself." Everyone at the table is shocked by such rudeness. Not satisfied, she asks us what we want to order. At that point, I point out that we don't have the menus yet. She brings them, huffing, and adds loudly: "I never answer, but when it's needed, it's needed." I didn't reply, out of politeness. But if I'd been alone with my partner, I would have gotten up and left. Everyone at the table agreed: this is no way to welcome customers, nor to respond to such a simple request. I frequent restaurants every day for work, but I've never experienced such treatment. In any restaurant, the first thing you do is offer water to those who sit down, especially if service is slow to start. After the unpleasant scene, we finally get to the pizzas. But here too, a disaster: an hour's wait for tasteless pizzas, without salt or flavor, probably in the top three of the worst I've ever tried. We entered at 8:20 PM and left at midnight, as if we were at a wedding—but without cake or toast. What can I say about this experience? Simply: the first and last time at this place, which I will not recommend without hesitation, I would have given zero stars if I could.

01/10/2025: Really good pizzas with great toppings. Friendly and helpful staff.

25/09/2025: The food was quite tasty. Pizza and stuffed foccacia. Everything was served quickly. A carafe of red wine added to the Tuscan atmosphere. A fun way to flush the toilet ;-).

15/10/2025: We were here in early September. We had a delicious meal, but the upstairs area is a bit dull. It was very busy and there were lots of locals. Service was also quick and attentive. We made a reservation, which was definitely necessary.

05/10/2025: High price, modest quantities, good quality. We ordered three fillets, unfortunately not rare, a tagliata, a tagliolini, a pappardella, and a white pizza with mushrooms. The food itself was very good, but expensive for the price given the quantity. The mushrooms in all the dishes were also excellent (that's what we went for). The atmosphere, on the first floor, was a bit noisy, but the staff was friendly. Recommended, but with reservations.

06/09/2025: Napoli food at its best! Great people and great food naturally. This is the best pizza and fried fish place in Pisa/ Livorno area by far. Always consistent and always the best ingredients.
