10/03/2025: Non prendevo da un po’ la pizza al Vicolo, anni fa andavo spesso con gli amici e sono rimasta un po’ male dall esperienza dell altro giorno. Ho mangiato una pizza non particolarmente buona, enorme (sulla quantità nulla da dire, anzi anche troppo grande), impasto niente di sorprendente, ingredienti non brutti(sarei falsa) ma non di qualità eccelsa.. il prezzo corretto date le dimensioni ed i prezzi in giro.. in sintesi la mia esperienza non è stata negativa, ma tale da farmi dire non tornerò, non nell immediato almeno , non ne vale la pena.. c’è di meglio in giro..

02/10/2024: The business has changed management. The location is now called Borgo San Vito. I had a dinner of pizza, starter and dessert, all really good with helpful and kind staff. I also thank the owners for their courtesy. I will return in the next few days to savor the restaurant dishes, which when seen served at the adjacent tables were very inviting. See you soon!!!

25/12/2024: Per me una delle pochissime esperienze positive in un ristorante di pesce,che più ricorderò in vita mia. Avvicendati da una materia super…tra Gamberi,scampi locali e ricci buonissimi,c’è anche una grande sapienza da parte dello chef a rispettare questi prodotti e cucinarli nella maniera più tradizionale e semplice che esista.Usando anche olio extravergine di qualità.Una nota di merito alla pasta con i ricci,non ne mangiavo una così buona da tempo.Ottimo e amichevole il servizio con un ampia scelta di vini adatti al menù prevalentemente di pesce. Anche i dolci non ci hanno deluso. Ritornerò presto.

01/12/2024: Siamo arrivati a questa fantomatica osteria tramite facebook,lo seguito per anni è mi ha incuriosito in base a foto e video che hanno messo,ho prenotato un tavolo per due adulti è un bambino,dopo averci fatto accomodare,abbiamo chiesto di spostarci perchè sentivamo freddo e ci hanno spostato in direzione del clima,ma dopo pochi minuti che avevamo trovato il giusto confort,hanno pensato di spegnere tutto...dopo aver ordinato due primi e una grigliata ,ci siamo visti portare dei piatti miseri,con delle cozze chiuse già morte,dopo averlo fatto notare ,si sono espressi col dire che era normale e che si potevano anche mangiare che non succedeva niente,tutto nella norma quindi,aspettiamo la grigliata mista e ci vediamo arrivare una grigliata con 2 gamberi,una seppiolina e una fetta di spada(forse)del costo di 22 euro (troppo eccessivo)per così poco e qualitativamente,andati a pagare e. fatto presente del misero piatto,la signora alla cassa se ne esce col dire che non ha colpa lei perchè non vede uscire le portate,grazie signora per aver illuso le mie aspettative

30/08/2024: I was intrigued by the location which was wonderful. Unfortunately I took a grilled swordfish which didn't make any sense, very grilled on one side and seared on the other dry, dry, all with a side of mixed salad. Finally, they are so attentive to their customers that even though we are in Catania and they don't know how to grill a swordfish, having only one table in the room, they made me pay 5 euros for the side dish and 2 forkfuls of salad. I forgot their slogan and life is too good to eat badly. Catering is a serious thing, Bar boys.

24/10/2024: Provato aperifish. Prenotato arrivati e subito accomodati. Personale rapido e gentile. La signora è stata disponibile tutta la serata. Ottimo tutto. Anche il pane di due tipi. Preso tagliere x tre e x due. Tutti siamo rimasti soddisfatti. Anche noi non l'ho abbiamo finito tutto. Gentilmente la signora ci fornito vaschetta x asporto. Tornerò sicuramente.

01/11/2024: I rarely write reviews. In particular, I almost never write bad reviews. However, our experience in October 2024 was so disappointing that I'm annoyed that I didn't check other reviews before we went there. The location in the backyard is really inviting in itself. It's really nice to sit there. If it was only open indoors in winter, I would forego it. The food isn't actually that bad. Not overly good, but definitely not badly cooked. What detracts from the experience of our visit is the incredibly poor service and the unavailability of the advertised food. By bad service I don't mean the very hard-working and warm waiters who were obviously bought from third countries for little money. They were great! What bothered me the most was the restaurant owner, who sat at a table at the entrance gate and just delegated everything. Once you sit at the table, you lose. It turns out that almost half of the map advertised outside is not available. We were there with our 9 year old daughter. There was no pizza (it takes up about 1/3 of the menu). We then agreed on Penne al Pommodoro (which is always available, no matter where in Italy). The menu promised homemade pasta for an additional 3 euros, but that wasn't available either. We parents had really very good Cozze al vino biancho and very good Gamberi as a starter. The chef can cook well. He's really got it. Unfortunately our meat main course wasn't available either (I'll be honest, I don't remember what it was), so we ended up going home with 2 starters and one penne pommodoro. But what fucked me up the most was the brash restaurant owner who then cashed in in the hall. The price was the same as all other restaurants on the street. But there is another problem with the payment: You: “You can’t pay by card, we don’t have internet at the moment.” Me: "Ok, I have internet here on my cell phone. In every shop in Ortigia on the same street, you can pay with your cell phone..." You: "No, you have to pay with cash. There is an ATM ATM around the corner." And it turns out that this ATM cash machine is in the window of the same restaurant when you go back out onto the street. Honi soit qui mal y pense. Sorry... I had one of my best vacations in recent years in Sicily this October. I gave 3 stars for the food and the location.

14/04/2025: It's disgusting, black things keep falling on the table (we're local) there are scratched and dirty cutlery, the baked pasta was raw, only the one without latiose was hot

13/04/2025: Terrible experience for Palm Sunday. There were 10 of us who arrived at 1.30pm. The slowness of the service was evident from the beginning. Half an hour had already passed before they even brought us water. Finally ordering after an hour of sitting. Terrible appetizers. I personally took a mussel soup but they brought me a peppered one with a few very small mussels. At 3.30pm the first courses still hadn't arrived (which, at the waiter's request, it was preferable for them to all be the same in order to speed up the time... never heard of it!), so we decided to get up and go and eat an ice cream. Besides that other people we saw also made the same decision, some left their dishes intact. The waiters didn't clear the table and the pigeons attacked the tables. In such a square, such baseness of catering is unthinkable. It can't get any worse than this. Shameful!
