08/08/2026: The food was excellent, and the wine was also very good. The house appetizer buffet was very generous (we recommend curbing the portions, so as not to be too full for the subsequent courses).

22/07/2026: Everything was excellent: parking in front of the building, spotlessly clean, excellent service, very good food. We dined in the garden under the umbrellas. Personally, I didn't like the very dim lighting. Prices were a bit high.

08/08/2026: Excellent fried Lecce dishes (panzerotti, rustici, pittule). The atmosphere is a bit basic, but it's worth a visit. Takeout is also available.

03/07/2026: We spent a pleasant evening with them, enjoying a delicious, finely topped pizza. The meat was also excellent, and we decided to try it because it was a new addition at the time.

14/08/2026: A seaside restaurant with a beautiful view. The quality seemed good. We ordered fried calamari and gratinated mussels as an appetizer, along with seafood cavatelli and a pizza. The only dish we weren't impressed with was the gratinated mussels. Otherwise, everything was very good and the portions were generous. Excellent value for money, with attentive and punctual service.

14/08/2026: A welcoming place, the owner is always available to accommodate any request, and the dishes are delicious, traditional seafood, and reasonably priced. I recommend it for family lunches and dinners without breaking the bank.

18/05/2026: The restaurant offers plenty of parking inside, with a security guard. Tables are well-spaced, and orders are very quickly served. The appetizers and pizza are excellent, but the wait for service, perhaps unusually, is too long.

10/05/2026: Location, nothing to complain about, nice and spacious, service equally good. I'm considering the pizza, because there are other options. I've noticed that most of the reviews are about the restaurant. The toppings are excellent, but the dough definitely needs revising. It's very thin in the center, doubles in size and becomes chewy as it gets to the edge. The cooking was uneven. Was it a coincidence? I don't know. My advice? 'No,' as I can't give you an opinion on the restaurant, but for the pizza, it's definitely a no.

10/06/2026: Highly recommended! Impeccable service, perfect timing (always appreciated with children), and the atmosphere is typical of Salento! The plates were all returned to the kitchen clean.

26/07/2026: We wanted to come for a special fish supper for our last night in Italy so chose La Battigia as it had some good reviews. Sadly the evening was very disappointing.....rude, offhand, slow service especially from the lead waiter outside. He never smiled and literally plonked the food down , no grace. We waited a long time to have our order taken and then the starter arrived before we had got our wine and it wasn't particularly busy !! They served the fried calamari without any fresh lemon which I found odd.....🤔. The tuna steak wasn't properly seared and was chewy. We had FAR nicer fish suppers at other less prestigious restaurants on our Italian holiday. As we were leaving a smart young couple arrived in a big car, parked right outside the restaurant blocking a busy road, left their hazard lights on and then came and sat down for a meal .....seemed to us that this place was more about style than substance. Avoid ....and go to a more authentic, friendly restaurant.

19/03/2026: Excellent bar, premium coffee. Ask for the owner, Sciacchitano, a true coffee artist. All the coffee is made on-site, even the morning croissants are made fresh, not frozen. Everything is delicious.

10/08/2026: A very good restaurant with a large, airy outdoor terrace and meticulously decorated decor. Delicious, beautifully presented dishes! Definitely worth a dinner if you're visiting Montepulciano.

10/08/2026: The pizza was good, but we waited 1.5 hours for it to arrive. Meanwhile, we asked the waiters several times, who would dismiss us with "Yes, it'll be there in 3 minutes," mocking us. The order management wasn't optimal, as the table next to ours ordered later and it arrived almost immediately. The kitchen also gave priority to those who ordered first or second courses, leaving the poor guys who got their pizza last. Even though the pizza was quite good, it was definitely not worth the wait.

22/07/2026: Ordered through Deliveroo, and the service itself was fine, except that for the first time in my life, I got food poisoning from the pizza I ordered. The mozzarella wasn't good quality, and it triggered the pain I've been in for the past few days.

20/07/2026: We had good pizza, both regular and for those with intolerances. The atmosphere is welcoming, with very friendly and professional service. We'll be back.

02/07/2026: The focaccia and bread are excellent but the Jor d'fuc pizza is out of this world... 🤯😍💪🏻
