Absolutely not recommended. I anticipate their eventual response, denying everything, as they did on the spot.

22/08/2025: Good restaurant in Monopli. Strongly recommend ordering the Cacio e Pepe. It comes in a cheese wheel and is served in front of you. One of the nicest dishes I have tried in Puglia. The calamari and seafood mixture was okay. Not seasoned the best and a little bit dry. But good value nonetheless. Would recommend.

21/08/2025: Just last night. Erased from memory: Very high prices, €2 more for the whole-grain dough. Very low-quality and flavorful pizza. Tomato sauce almost burnt. Out of four people, three of us left half the pizza on our plates. Negative experience as far as we're concerned.

15/08/2025: A small tavern in the heart of Melpignano's historic center. Traditional cuisine that takes you back in time and lets you savor typical Salento dishes. Friendly and helpful staff.

18/07/2025: Small restaurant in the center of Melpignano. Good food (especially the fried appetizer and the "massa con i ceci"), fast and attentive service, and a good price.

03/08/2025: 55 minutes for 3 spaghetti with clams, covered in salt with yellow and red cherry tomatoes that didn't fit in at all. Good thing they didn't charge us for them since we complained and left them.

23/08/2025: An excellent pizza, far removed from the usual gourmet trends. Service is quick (taking your order, water, and beer), but the pizza takes a few minutes longer than usual. It should be noted, however, that the pizza is well-cooked, so I imagine it also depends on the cooking time. A great experience.

02/08/2025: Our first night in Bari, we chose this pizzeria, which had a good Google rating. The pizzas are wood-fired, with very thin crust, and are just okay. Served on wooden boards, with plastic cups for drinks: hygiene-wise, it leaves something to be desired. The neighborhood is charmless. We thought we'd pay around €30 for three (one pizza at €8 + sodas at €2), and we were charged €36. Probably €2 for "coperto" per person... but for what? No glass cups, no olive oil or hot peppers on the table. We clearly felt that the extra €6 was due to our status as tourists. We had a nasty feeling of having been ripped off.
